Ludum Dare 48 April 24–27, 2021

Count me in again!

Last participated in LD46. It didn't go to plan, but I still had fun and learned a lot!

I've decided last-minute that'll be participating in LD48. Since my weekend isn't wide open and I'm back to work on Monday, I'm aiming for the compo.

I'll focus on making something small, with a fun, polished core loop, and see where that takes me.

Not sure what I'll use this time... maybe PICO-8 again? We'll see.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's work!

We are in!

This year we will be a team of two with @kazrath, and we try to make a real fun game! We already warmed up, chatting about the possible themes and ideas this year. We agreed that no theme is bad, we can have fun with any of them! (I really hope we will thinking the same after the final theme is revealed :D )

Back again for more! Solo compo entry.

Here I am again, soloing the comp. Always a good time! However finding the energy and motivation has been a tad more difficult as of recent.

I'll be using my usual stack: - Gine - TypeScript - Aseprite - Visual Studio Code - Coffee, bananas, chicken & the occasional beer in the evenings.

Hope to see you all on the Twitch and in the compo end results!

I'm once again in :D This will be mine 7 ludum dare compo game!!!

Over the course of 3-4 years I've met a lot of different developers on this site, it was fun to make games, post what mine progress, brainstorm different juicy ideas, rate & play games from all over the world! And once again I will try to make a little but somewhat fun game (maybe 3D this year 😀). Good luck everyone!!!

I'll be using - Unity for Engine - C# as for the language - Blender for models - Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for UI/textures and a lot of cool stuff - FL studio for music (maybe idk :D )

Comprehensive Guide on How to Date Greek Woman

Who is she - a Greek woman? An ordinary girl who will support you in everything and raise children? Or a goddess, with long beautiful hair, beautiful, beautiful, smart? Today I will try to tell you all about Greek girls, their customs, culture, how to meet them, how to date them and finally, how to marry them. Greek women ( https://womenandtravel.net/greek-girls/ ) go for Greek men. It is not using the English language in some odd way, it is the reality of the situation. It is in their culture, Greeks do not like outsiders, recent political events are not helpful at all in this regard. While many young people are, frankly, more lenient in this regard, it is still expected.

The Greeks, in many ways like the Italians, place great emphasis on family and family values. The youngest girls are brought to be mothers, housekeepers. Getting married and having children is the main priority of any Greek woman. In short, traditional family values of a conservative nature rule here. Religion is very important in the life of the Greeks. Family relationships are the same. They believe that upbringing and religion play a big role in determining who you are. They don't know how to hide emotions, and don't even try to do it. Hence the infamous Greek incontinence: if a Greek wants to cry, they will cry outside. If a Greek wants to touch the negotiator's hand - they won't even bother to think about your response. If he / she wants to sing his / her favorite song out loud - he / she will!

Greeks love to dance, not only their traditional dances but everything that is trending. The Greeks are constantly happy and thus they like to express it in every way possible, which is why they often turn to dance. The Greeks are passionate about their craft. They become deeply involved in anything in which they become involved. Even in the most basic of things, a Greek woman struggles and argues about who is better at cooking. Oh, it turns violent. You do not want to hurt the honor of a Greek woman. It is common to use facial expressions as a way of expressing facial expressions, with all the straightness and honesty of the Greeks, it is a good character.

The Greeks are generally quite superstitious. They knock on wood, they spit, and do all that kind of stuff. These superstitions pass from one generation to another, thus, there are fewer of them now, but be aware of this when you travel to Greece. The Greeks are passionate and love their culture. They believe, and they are right about it in a way, that they have invented many things and are the first of many things. They are good at dance. While we have already mentioned it, just think about it. A girl who is good at dance, for all that cultural taste and fire with her. Oh my. Greek women are generally quite good at cooking, they become quite competitive about it and they would like to prove it every single day. They like to drink loving parties, as we have said, dancing and having a good time. And looking at their culture, they are quite good at it.

Ready to rumble!

As Ludum Dare is closing in, we have almost finished preparing ourselves for the biggest task we have taken on so far: streaming our progress live and for the full 72h. And no, we are not entirely sure whether we have thought this through. To be honest, we have mixed feelings about the selected themes - I myself think a lot of them are "acceptable", while some of my teammates are already having mental breakdowns.

So far, we were always able to find some kind of game mechanic that matches the theme, so - fingers crossed - we'll manage to come up with something remotely satisfying again. We would be happy to see you on stream, starting 2h prior to theme announcement, where we will be discussing the themes in the last theme voting! Of course, since this is a competition, we politely ask you not to copy our work, but we invite you to explore approaches that didn't make it into our final vision of our game. If you do, or if you just want us to play your game after the jam, please mention me or submit your game here!

I'm in!

Wahoooo first time

I am in!

It's 2nd time jamming in ludum dare. Curious to see whats the theme.

I'm in with LibGDX

After years of Unity and Godot, I'm gonna use LibGDX on Linux! Will be fun ;) GLHF!

A person played my previous entry almost every day for the last 6 months

I'm still very suprised that it resonated with someone so much. I made the game in less than 12 hours. And while it's very unique and I'm very proud of it. I didn't think that it offered THAT amount of replayability. This is a reminder that once in a while these little games we make means so much to somebody. For me it was Persist (http://ludumdare.com/compo/2013/04/28/play-persist-a-tale-of-redemption/) by @adventureIslands at ludumdare 26 that really stuck with me. I had it on my phone and played it whenever I felt bored or frustrated, for years.

Also this is my previous entry, if you're curious: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/among-me

i am in!

For the third time. Sharpening pencils and updating Unity versions.

And a placeholder itch page for good measure :P

I'm pretty psyched 🤩
