In for another!

I'm in for another time! As with previous times I'm entering the compo, but I've not got quite as much time this weekend as in previous events so I might have to scale it down a bit compared to usual  I'm planning on using Unity, Aseprite, Reaper, and Audacity, but maybe I'll try something 3D with blender this time around. Will probably depend on the theme

I'm in!

I've been a little lazy about finishing Ludum Dares lately, it's time to make up for it. This is the one and only LD48 after all ;)

I'm in

My first Ludum Dare was LD 26 back in 2013. Every time I participate I learn something new, so I'm excited to see what I learn and what cool things other people will make.

I'm going with my usual favorites that I've been using on other personal projects: Godot, Paint.NET, Audacity, and sound/music generators for audio which I am still so, so unskilled with.

Remember to keep healthy habits and of course have fun!

I'm in.

It's been a while since I last participated in a Ludum Dare event (it was still back on the old site!), but now - I'm back in, and fully prepared to create and finish a game (and for the first time I won't be going solo!)

I wish you all lots of good luck. If you participate - remember to sleep well, eat healthy, and have lots of fun during this 48th Ludum Dare!

This is my first ludum dare and second ever game jam. Feeling a tad nervous that I won't finish...

I'm also in

Hry there, L3mmy here, I'm happy to announce that I will take part in this Ludum Dare as an pixel artist, and I'll be teaming up with one of my friend who will take care of the coding but also with a musician so the game can have some of those sweet sweet tunes!

Cya in the jam, stay safe and healthy !

Oh, its on

Ludum dare 48 isn't something I thought I'd participate in, but guess who got unity?

First LD for me

Just wanted to say this will be my first LD ever! I'm very excited. I hope I can submit something =D.

Good luck to everyone!

In Once More!

Looks like we’re doing this again, and this time there’s a bunch of us!

Will post tomorrow our tools and team, hope everyone else is as excited as we are!

In case you didn't catch it....

One unified hub for everything that you'll ever need during a game jam

Throughout my time doing 8 Ludum Dare's I've collected several pieces of software that have been helpful. Only problem is there are so many now that I've started to forget about things and then after a jam I'm like, "Darnit I wish I had remembered to use that!" even though I have it installed on my computer. To make sure I don't forget this time around I've created a handy dandy site with links to inspiration, ideas and so many different pieces of FREE software that can help you at any point in the game jam process. Check it out, it's going to become a bookmark on my main browser page throughout this jam so that I can quickly navigate to all my favourite software.

I really hope that you find this a useful tool. I created it for people who are veterans and newbies alike. I know the pain of not knowing what software to choose even though you know a million free pieces of software that do what you want must exist so hopefully this can mitigate that issue.

3 Luigis Mansion Modders, 1 Game

We have finally come down from our clutches with the GameCube masterpiece to give you mere mortals a challenge as Luigis Mansion Modding is obviously the superior art, if ye say differently shall be smited where ye stand! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Warming up a little...

So this will be my 6th Ludum Dare, and my second JAM-entry. Usually I participate in COMPO.

This time I'll be teaming up with my old friend Kaappis.

We're planning to make some kind of a parody of the classic Nintendo's handheld console Game&Watch.

It just so happens that I had made a grid-based menu-system a few weeks ago that seems to be easily re-purposed for this project. As you can see we've already been fooling around with it a little.

Originally we planned to stick to the original aesthetics and limitations of the Game&Watch, but we decided to be more free-form about it.

We'll see in a few days if we can come up with something cool!

This is my first Game Jam and I am so excited!

LD Hype

Final theme countdown is always controversial. For once I think I like at least half of them, so good chance I'll have an idea to run with this time and will enjoy it.

I have been practicing with Unity to avoid fumbling about with some common pitfalls. Time to grab some scripts from my archive and build a frame from which to start my game. For a lot of jams you end up writing a lot of the same code. Input controller, sound controller, movement controller, camera, menu, etc.

Took tomorrow off from work so I can get everything prepared for a weekend of coding.
