Im in!

This will be my first time working with a team of people that I don't know irl so really excited to break out of my comfort zone. Good luck everyone

Looking forward to LD50!

I'm fired up for LD50! I feel like my last couple games have been more complete, so I look forward to what I'll come up with this time around. It's hard for me to not overcomplicate a game/it's mechanics and have it only turn out to be a concept. I might try to go a lot simpler this time around but we'll see.

Let's get ready to rumble!

With the jam kicking off in a few hours I wanted to spend a bit of time making sure my toolset is up and running with no major issues.

Since I'm planning to make a classic LucasArts style 9-verb point and click adventure game I'm using: - Unity - Adventure Creator (with 9-verb plugin) - Photoshop

So here's a sample scene I put together using some placeholder assets you might recognise:

It's pretty rough but it proves the core that the toolset works and shouldn't get in the way of making a game.

Not long now until kick off, I hope you're all ready for a great weekend!

@demorok !

brainstorming

I broke out the pencil and paper, planning on analog brainstorming only for at least 10 minutes; it's served me well in past jams.

Im In

Its been a while, but I cannot miss the 50th.

I will be working with Unity and Photoshop. Not sure what I will be using from there yet.

Here we go

gonna make a real effort to finish this time hopefully no distractions

unity and photoshop

Hyped!

Looking forward to LD 50! Just hope I don't over scope as I often do haha.

We're in

Our big team is joining Ludum Dare!

This is the 8th time I personally participate in Ludum Dare when we started with a team of two.

This time its team of SEVEN, and most of us are seasoned game jam participants. So I expect to see something incredible! (or a complete failure if we fall into production chaos )

This time we are using: * Unity as the game engine * DOTween to make game feel alive * Photoshop for dire photoshopping needs * Blender for 3D modeling and animation * Audacity and microphone for incredible sound effects * Vortex Tracker and Renoise to make some tunes * GitHub to be in control of versions * Google Docs to feel the blank sheet problem * Telegram to attempt communicating with each other

As we are professional LD participants, we already hate the theme in advance, whatever it would be!

Feeling full of energy and ready for action! :muscle:

Final theme poll update!

We've gotten votes from over 300 participants in over 30 countries! Thanks everyone!!
If you haven't voted in the poll yet, please CLICK HERE! Which theme are you hoping for??

received_1163733517698100.jpeg! We're doing our classic "cabin in the woods" jam!

Unfortunately we don't have good access to electric lights 😁

Pls Do not let Folklore win

Pls don't let it win! I hate it! If you hate it please heart or comment on this post

I'm in

I'm in for the compo again this Ludum Dare. Hoping for a fun theme a finished game at the end of the weekend.

I will be using my own engine called Aeons. It is still in development, so I hope everything I need works for the most part.
For art I will use Affinity Designer.
For sound probably bfxr.

Can't wait!

It's been a long time since I've done Ludum Dare, and I can't wait to try this one! I've decided to brainstorm with a pen + paper, to see if the old-fashioned way works for me! My tools will be Unity and Aseprite! Can't wait to see the other submissions soon!

50 will be the one

No idea what the game will be. The only thing I know is I'm getting something submitted.

Tools

Unity Aesprite or Blender depending Ableton + Hardware for music and effects
