Keep an EYE on our proyect =P

Did this as a joke, realised I look exactly like this lol. He may look scary (or tired), but he's got the spirit!

I always get paranoid around this time in the Compo. The submission hour is counted on top of the current countdown, right?
So 2:15 hours (the current countdown) from now + 1 hour for packing up and uploading?
you can play it now here!

To mark the occasion, I decided to not do a puzzle game again, and made a platformer instead (tough I managed to slip in there some puzzley stuff ^^).
As usual I'm really looking forward to play all your amazing game, cheers !

Making some progress :) A game about not making a game

I guess there's other things in here too. But I'm proud of my dumb sky shader. Next game will just be 100% shaders.
The round symbols with the hammer show the parts of the ship that need repairing, and the cannon and ship's wheel icons will have a differently colored arrow when they're not in need in repair, since the player also needs to use them.
The oval "dialogue bubbles" will show the stats of the different pirates.

This is a small 2D Platformer, where you play against your biological clock. Try to reach the end of the game, while collecting as many roses as possible. Use your age as an advantage! You can now play it here: https://jorbits.itch.io/graveyard-path

I just finished my Compo Submission, “The Mark of Time”. You can play it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/the-mark-of-time

First time implementing this kind of player movement, and as such I've spent a lot of time learning. I also spent too much time yesterday on project plumbing, but I'm hoping it'll pay off when it comes to the submission hour.
Circular movement was the biggest frog on my list and as such I'm feeling pretty confident with the remaining time. My submission may be strung together with primitives but I'm hopeful it'll be a playable game with source code 🤞
I managed to pull together two more minigames, for a total of 4/8! After two entire days. And there's still no timer, no scoring, no overall lose condition, and no difficulty increase over time. I think the most notable thing I've done today is develop a burning hatred of Euler angles. Trying to do clamp a rotation with the minimum as a positive and the maximum as a negative is bad.
My plan was to finish the mechanics today and use all of tomorrow for art, audio, and general polish, but that might not be totally feasible. If I'm lucky the other minigames will go smoothly, but after the extreme difficulty of "click and drag to rotate the snake around its origin" I'm not betting on it.

On a real Famicom, of course ;)
Looks like I scoped my project too large – I’m still working on systems and don’t have the interface finished for the main gameplay loop. This is going to have to go in the Jam instead of the Compo but at least I’m pretty sure I can have something playable, if not polished, by tomorrow.
I gotta stop trying to make these complex numerical simulation games for LD
*I'm super tired right now but I managed to finish the game, pack it and upload/submit it everywhere. I'll write a proper post-mortem and descriptions for all the submission pages. Good night all! *

I just uploaded my first Ludum Dare participation ! It's 1 am here and I am exhausted but really happy ! Good luck for the next hour everyone
