It's almost done. It remains to program a couple of mechanics, roll up a couple of windows and complete the balance.

We've finished our background and character motion design! Though still have a lot to do XD This time we use doodles to design the whole scene, including map, characters and boss
Here is the background!
And this is the way how our main character holds his sword...
Maybe he would have more cool weapons?

Hi! So LifeWaster started on Sunday at 10am, I couldn't use my computer and if there's was a chance of anything done, a 2011 Macbook Air was the only way.
Thanks to Construct 3 for making the tool fully available during this days, I usually work with the 2nd desktop version, I knew that there's some differences but never made a game on the online 3rd version.
So first game on Construct 3, on a Mac, sure there was some strange feelings.
But then, the magical aura of the Ludum Dare took over the Sunday, with few hours left, work is the only thing that has to be done.
But no, I've thought of an idle game that in my head worked like a charm (familiar?).
Hours go through and with barely 8 left, the game didn't clicked, had no clear destination, couldn't close it.
So LifeWaster emerged and was amazing for me, took over like some kind of voice for things that I really think about apps and every social network.
So a joke not so joke marks a Ludum Dare entry, hope you can enjoy it.
Finished the day making 11 (eleven) looping song on the godly Bosca Ceoil 2 by the legendary Terry Cavanagh, how charming is to feel his soul through a software guiding me to the final line.
Something weird, the sfx software that I usually use doesn't have a Mac version (Labchirp, beautiful tool) so I ended up making all sound effects on Bosca as well, not so happy with that due to tradition but a game with no sfx kinda has no charm.
Finally, Aseprite. What to say. Argentinian software made right, is so close to home that I can barely say any words. Feels like home, all of it.
Thanks to all of us for making this amount of games on a weekend, itch.io is going nuts storing all this juiciness to the world, doesn't get enough credit.

Since I played lots of Vampire Survivors and the theme worked with that type game... I just went for it and did a very similar game. Let me tell you, even though the game looks fairly easy to copy its really not. Anyways enjoy it!
As always play and rate will be returned. Much love!

Hope everyone is enjoying the game jam! We've been hard at work so we haven't made any post before... but finally we''ve reached an almost complete game state! We've been making a minimalistic timed puzzle game.
Had a lot of fun this jam... but I'm currently at about 15 hours of work today... so it's time for bed. Don't forget to rest as well guys! o/
just need music and sfx and a menu

Hello!
It's time for me to give you some news about our game. Because we've done a lot of things since yesterday!
Some important work on the UI has been made this morning. We now have tooltips on icons, an help button (we need to add more descriptions in the tooltips). Also important, we've fixed and improved the mechanics and economy. Some of you told us that the forest was too saturated so I made it a bit more consistent with the other graphical assets. It's not perfect but it's better.

The next step for me is to work on the sound assets (FX and music), while Bouteille polish some little things, and work on the implementation of the intro menu and the endings. And yeah, we had some food.

We're pretty happy with what we've done so far. Hope everything is going smoothly for you, and that people have enjoyed working on their compo project and had a good night of sleep!
Next time I'll give you some news, our game will be more or less finished. Woohoo! Have a nice last Jam day everyone!
We had to wrap up our Jam last night - will be posting later today after work. Had a great time though was too busy to post much of anything - looking forward to seeing all the games!

Hey, for those of you that don't know about it, you should check out Raylib if you are looking for a good library to build on. I'm on my 4th incarnation of my game engine and this time I built on top of Raylib and really like it. My engine is strictly 2D but Raylib supports 2D and 3D, is multi-platform and there are a bunch of language bindings for it if you don't like c or c++. If you like building games from basics or want to make an engine but don't necessarily like dealing with OpenGL and writing your own batch rendering system, this is a really good choice.
https://www.raylib.com/
My engine also uses a few other good libraries:
Box2d for Physics - https://box2d.org/ Entt for ECS - https://entt.docsforge.com/ Tileson for Tiled integration - https://github.com/SSBMTonberry/tileson
After a catastrophic ld49 i come back this time and i did it! :)
I try with a smaller scope with a "boss fight" in side scroller against a hydra whose heads regrow and multiply tirelessly.
Yes, it's a monster. Yes, we think it's cute. Yes, I personally want to pet him. In other news, our game finally has a title! Beastly shopping's the name and, hopefully, it will be just as funny and colorful as we plan it to be!

i just finished making Speedy students and would love for you all to play and give me feedback
I'm the only with this problem ? I tried on BRAVE and FIREFOX same thing, the list is graphically cut but links exists in the code.

A funny concept about a parent and child relationship, when DADDY want you to sleep early !
Remember the pasted (or current) time when you had to DELAY THE INEVITABLE : avoiding bedtime by making a fool of your parents (by any means possible !)
Hope you will like this concept, sadly we had a big technical crash: the dev's computer do not works anymore... You can test our amazing scene and menu to enjoy the graphics, and our big DADDY in his role as parent !
Have fun and give a vote or comment, to support our disappointed team witch not have build to share with you 😢
