hi, writing this to activate my account
I will be using this upcoming LD to field test my in-development IF tool, Tvain-B. I am inviting others who are curious to also maybe try it. The main goal of it is to create easy to parse json data that can be used in multiple parsers, so that narrative and writing workflow can be decoupled from the gamey parts of your game.
It's 100% usable, but what is missing is documentation. I will likely just post a quick video to show how it works in the absence of proper docs (which are coming).
Also, I currently only have two web based parsers ready for it, and one proof of concept one written as a mod for the game Kitsune Tails, which is in lua so I will be porting that over to LÖVE. I also have a half-baked port for Godot, but I have very little Godot experience, so it's a bit rough. Either way I will post everything I have before the jam starts.
In the mean time, if you want to you can try it out at:
Edit:
Here's an example parser for javascript/web:

Edit 2:
Blegh, was going to write some docs, but feeling a bit sick. Getting some sleep instead.

One week to prepare, get your check lists done. - Clean your desk/office. - prepare high energy foods. - last minute research. (sound design, level designs, save features, etc) - set up your project in your desired engine. - prepare your default codes/blueprints.
and anything else you have.
day of I highly suggest a shower and clean clothes after a walk, to get the blood flowing and feel fresh.
Just know, I appreciate you. PERFECT for the Halloweenish timing and an interesting theme to explore on its own. I really, really hope this wins.
I used the cool Markdown table syntax to update my list of games I've made that I keep on my profile. It looks VERY nice now.
Here's a template you can use as a starting point! You can see the full list on my ldjam profile.

This is my test post
Hello,
We`ll be in Ludum58 for a first time ! That's our 5th game jam and we're really excited about that !
Hi, I’m new here! I joined because I want to participate in Ludum Dare with my team. I’m interested in making small games, learning new tools, and sharing ideas with the community. Looking forward to the jam! 🎮✨
This allows you to easily import color palettes from sites like Lospec or your design tools directly into Godot.
Once converted, you can import the palette in Godot by opening the Color Picker, clicking the ... button next to Swatches, and selecting Open -> choose your .tres file.
The generated file has no UID, so it might be a bit glitchy, but it works.
python hex2tres.py palette_name.hex

Hopefully the correct resolution can be taken from this picture. If not please let me know and I will provide you directly with the PNG file :)

I'm still semi-crunching to get Prism Warriors out the door, but having skipped LD57 and flunked out of this year's PICO-1K Jam, I'd like to at least get one jam entry on the board this year. So I'm throwing my hat into the ring for Ludum Dare 58. Working on something other than Prism Warriors could be a nice change of pace.
As always, whatever I make will be in either PICO-8 or TIC-80. Which one, and whether I do the Compo or Jam, will be decided once I come up with an idea. I won't hesitate to pull out if I can't come up with anything or I burn myself out halfway through, but I'd really prefer that it doesn't come to that.
Wish me luck!

Updated replay of the show is still available on VOD.
Super excited to participate in my first Ludum Dare jam. I finished slaughtering themes, now I'm prepping for Friday. Can't wait!
Done slaughtering themes! I actually liked a lot of these

There are about 10-15 potentially good themes. Hoping for a luck for my first time
Hey everyone! This’ll be my first time joining you all for a ludem dare. I’ve seen the wonderful games pop up in my feeds over the years and I’m so excited to participate in said popping-up (as well as try out what you make).
A little bit about me… My background is software in aerospace engineering, my preferred game engine is Godot (although I’ve worked in GM2 and Unity), I’m decent at Blender, and I love to make things people haven’t seen before.
Leave a comment if you wanna be chums :v:
To prove I’m a real person here’s some homemade imitation Cane’s I made:

Was I supposed to keep that many, though?
