• Buggie made for a fun challenge this LD, as it's my 2nd time working with Godot as a 3D artist.

The addition of .FBX made it much easier to test files as a Maya artist. I've never been a fan of the .GLTF implementations outside of Blender, and that's been a major setback for Godot, if you have any tips let me know.

Trying to keep a spider cute and getting the model rigged and setting up the IK logic for all 8 legs in the first day made for a good challenge. I left to the dev team for implementation with the character controller (shoutout to Crigz Vs Game Dev for a great IK tutorial on YT).

It's hard to rate on a scale because that makes it kinda relative to the games played previously, which seems quite unfair. Also Compo and Jam should be rated differently. I'm probably overthinking this but if anyone has a cheat sheet to share, I'd appreciate that.

I wonder how others rate their work here. Namely: can you play genres of games that you absolutely do not like? I personally faced the problem that when I see wonderful graphics and want to play, but then I see that this is a horror game, it's hard for me to evaluate it properly - I'm just afraid to play it. But I can't leave without a rating either :(
