Rex-Terminator is a vertical platformer / bullet hell where you play Rex the Exterminator. Rex has a unique ability where he can shrink down to the size of an insect and fight common house pests at the source. Shoot, wall jump, and dash your way to the top where the final boss resides. How fast can you beat this challenging platformer? Play it here

After many (2) sleepless nights, @rodney-fan and I created this game about breeding fish and making them fight. The idea was, each fish has random behaviors that drive its actions, and these can be inherited from the parents. The fish are really dumb, but you created them. And that's all that matters. They're like your own dumb children in a way.
Here is some fish-on-fish violence:
Would mean a lot if you checked the game out and gave it a rate!

As always, the scope I dreamed about was larger than I could hope for. I did a good job adjusting, and I am pleased with the result. Although the final result isn’t all that challenging, at least it’s sort of relaxing :) Starting the game with a heavy system like hexagonal grids meant the gameplay came a little later ...
I was inspired by recently playing Dorf Romantik (The Boardgame). I haven’t played the videogame, and I don’t know how it differs from the boardgame. I have to wonder whether there are many similarities to what I came up with.
Originally, I pictured a wide map of towns that would be connected by road tiles. Towns would need to be connected to resource tiles to grow their stock, and they would need to be connected to other towns through roads and rivers to trade. This created competing priorities: making contiguous plots of resources for growth, but having to cross them with roads. I’d like to try and get to that idea, because I don’t think it’s that far off at all!
The version I submitted is much simpler: build the world around towns, connecting resources to their "factories" to increase their yield. There's no real "win" or "lose", which I hope yields just a peaceful, tile-laying time.

Help Florian, a tiny hunter wielding a Floss Flail, take down a creature made of multiple smaller creatures that had suddenly appeared in its tiny town one day.
Fun fact: Florian the Tiny Hunter is a spiritual successor to our LD 23 game, The Tiny World of Fiorella. Florian and Fiorella are long lost siblings! Unfortunately, it's no longer playable as it was made back in the Flash days...

This game may not be as good as the others or as polished, but we poured our hearts and souls into this one, so give it a go if you want

Wanted to make some post about the Character creation and choices we made for "Dshniidawl Woods" :relieved: Starting with the good guys Dshniidawl Kobolds
First off, we did decided for this time to do a more harder approach with the limited pallette and I think it was a good call, it captures the mysticsm of a magical forest (imho)
But now to our first character :bomb:
"helloooo!"
The Bomb Sapling was our first idea on the Sapling concept. Easy cute design with some heavy hitting Damage on the Enemy types.
I wanted to capture the "leafy" Nature of the Saplings with its springy "leaf-fuse" on the head as well as keeping the Character super readable and recognizable at that Tiny scale.
"boom boom bam!"
Check back for more Posts on the other Characters and Gamedesign Choices we made for this LD56!
Meanwhile, why you dont give the game a spin?
Comments and proper feedback are highly appreciated! Thanks for reading and playing! Dan

Thanks for people reporting that our game was not booting on all PS1 emulators. I uploaded a hotfix that fixes the game, so it is easier for everyone to experience: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/$399421
I am puzzled why the game worked on any emulator at all. My sleep deprived self had typoed line of code where I initialize the buffer for rendering polygons!
If downloading an emulator is still too much of an hassle, which I totally understand, here is a full play-through of the game:

All instructions what to do are in some unknown language and they can reveal us if we don't do anything fast! Please, help us somehow!

Hi there! We're glad to introduce to you TinySoul, our first 3D game! Before that, we released a couple of 2D games and LD56 was our 6th LD in a row. We're actually so proud of this game, so hope you appreciate it!
