Good luck everyone!
I've been working on my base-code for the Compo, it's not done yet, and even though it's just an unwritten rule, I'd like to share it before the jam starts.

Feature list: ✨
There are still many things I need to improve, and functionalities to add that are very generic and I need to use in all my future projects. My idea would be to use all the functionalities of BITSY but using my own code to have more freedom.
*I've used the BITSY font to display the text.
Come say hi: https://www.twitch.tv/oddlyspecificgames
I don't know if these "I'm in" posts are required, but if there is such thing as a Post-mortem, it'd be nice to have something the opposite of it that I can look back at when I finished the jam.
So this will be my 2nd LD Jam participation. The first one was LD 46, 3 years ago, where we made a little game called flamaraderie (The lowercase "f" is a stylistic choice). I was the artist and animator. I think I did pretty well at limiting myself considering the time, but looking back I could probably do an extra layer of polishing.
For this jam I won't be having that concern though, as the art will be handled by a dear friend, at least that's the plan. I will instead be handling coding and production, using Godot Engine instead of Unity this time. And as the self-proclaimed producer I will see what it's like to handle to product post-jam, market it, and talk about it as it was all handled by blu before!
Good luck to all of us! See you in submission day!
This is my first LD jam, good luck to every one!
This time I'm participating with a friend.
Here’s our choice of tools for this occasion:

Kanban Board: Trello
Game Engine and Editor: Godot 4
Programming Language: GDScript
Art: Krita
Image Editing: GIMP
3D Modeling: Blender
Digital Audio Workstation: Bitwig Studio Essentials
Audio Editing: Audacity

As is tradition for me, I am in, bringing with me a list of goodies! As I have collected all sorts of free software over the years to help me with game jams I figured it would be nice to centralise my knowledge for the newer jammers and give some niche recommendations for even the veterans amongst us.
It will be my first LD since around 2012 when I was a high-schooler.
I'll be using my own engine which is not quite ready yet, not sure I'll be able to make a finished game with it but the main goal is to see the limits of the engine.
Good luck to everyone!
(This might be a repost but I couldn't seem to find the original one. Also I'm not sure whether this is necessary to participate in the Game Jam or not) This is my first time participating in the Ludem Dare Game Jam. Will hopefully learn lots and have tons of fun in the process
Will team with my husband. Both are software engineers, hope everything will go well! Good luck everybody!!! (engine: godot)
Hello! I also am not sure whether or not this whole "I'm in" thing is necessary, but I figured I'll post anyway :)
This is my first jam, and I'm going to try tackling it alone. I only have 48 hours available (thanks, exams) but I don't think I have the skills to do Compo, so I'll just do my best for the regular Jam!
I have very little experience making games, so I'm just going to spend the weekend learning and discovering new things along the way. My goal is to create something super super simple that is complete and following the theme.
Good luck to everyone! I'm very excited to see all the awesome games everyone makes.
Goal: Just finish my game....

You're from the Old School?
You can describe your tools in the comments
here it is. i'm so ready. going solo for the first time.
MY GOALS: make an unfinished, shitty, unpolished game, with an original soundtracc. BONUS POINTS for compiling a .exe or webgl experience that is 'enjoyable' by all, on literally whatever platform possible.
I am planning to join the compo. Although I have learnt there are two categories, 30 minutes ago. So wish me luck :)
Godot 4 Blender JFXR
I am working on procedural geometries for the last a few weeks, so my base code will contain a mesh generating code. I hope the theme will be adaptable for that.
o.o ready for ldjam
First Ludum Dare. Super excited to be doing this! Solo dev with either Godot or Love2D
Space is ready.
Going with raylib and c++ as that's where my head is at.

NOOO WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SUMMONING
