Or you'll summon every single frame

Hi again, Jammers! We're ready to show you more of mechanics in «Before You Summon» :smiley_cat:
In our game next phase of sending a demon is packaging. In order to send a demon, you have to go through the process of creating a package.
To do that, you can draw on box with colored pens, glue stamps, and wrap it with duct tape.
Don't be shy expressing yourself and take your time -- there is no time limit to bother you.

See you in next blog posts, demons!

You have knights wandering around the map. Monsters emerge from caves, looking for villages to smash. Knights will fight any monster they run across until one of them dies.
You can click on a knight to call him to the castle, which is technically a definition of Summoning. If a knight is in the castle, you can choose exactly where to send him, and after he arrives, he'll automatically go to the nearest village. If a knight is injured, he'll rest in a village until healed. New knights slowly spawn over time. The goal is to defend the villages for as long as possible.
My motivation to work on this is currently very low. I'll just fix up a couple of major bugs, throw in a main menu, lose condition, and points, and call it a game.
Art is done and I'm working on getting a few levels put together. Still need sound, though!
AHHHHH

You can imagine this as a phone call. One caller sends you a request by pressing buttons (making a ritual) and another one -- receiving it by pressing other buttons (also making a ritual).
In order to proceed with the ritual, you need to: - Place 5 candles on top of pentagram corners - Light 'em up in a correct order with a lighter
Then, fire changes its color to blue and you can finish the ritual!!! Simply put the box with your demon in the center of pentagram.
That's it -- Now this demon is sent to the client

See you in next blog posts, jammers! :v:
Sometimes you just need a little FX in your life.
I am using a technique I have become very comfortable with to add in some squash and stretch programmatically.
I pressed publish button but didn't see my game in the Event->Games category.
Did I make some mistake?
…but it’s cursed for sure. The only progress report from first time developers and artist:
create deck of your summoning spells and survive as long as you can.
First time everything worked as it should (no bugs, no stress  ). I'm definitely going to make this a full game after the jam.
I can’t wait to try your creations! to anyone who still works, Good Luck you can make it!

Anyone else have a problems with creating a hyperlinks in the descriptions? I use regular syntax but in the end I get this

Phew! I think I've never done so much work in a LD compo, what with the soundtrack getting corrupted and me getting side-tracked with bat navigation AI. Welp, it was fun, can't wait to play the games!

So, with a couple of hours to spare, I managed to finalize and publish my game. This is the first time that I haven't been totally stressed out in the last hours. I managed to set a good scope for the game and found a fairly quick way to realize it. It actually started out as a cookie-clicker but I quickly realized that it wanted to be something entirely different. Thanks to the community for all the love and hope it goes well for you all! Feel free to try it out.
Had to host my game on itch.io due to the ldjam.com embedding not working. I checked the embedding guide and did the needed adjustments, but I'm getting a completely different error about cross-origin policy (the same one you'd get if you try to run the HTML5 build locally without a proper server).
Just a heads-up for other people making Godot HTML5 games here!

If you want to learn more about him, you can find him in my game DESUMMONING over HERE.
It's been another great LDJAM :D
See you soon!
We honestly wanted to finish today (though it's a Jam entry, we all have work tomorrow :D), but there are still a bunch of tweaks, bugfixes and improvements + tutorial. So, going to do some extra work tomorrow. But I'm very happy with the current result.

We were hoping we could finish today. And tomorrow we will just clean up the bugs. How wrong we were. Ha ha ha!

It is supposed to be a relaxing game with no goals... just you summonning random blocks to build your map. That's something I've been thinking about doing for a while so I decided to take advantage of this LD theme to try it out and I'm loving it!

I can't seem to be able to stop playing, it's so nice to build the world with it... yet so simple!
