Hey, we've just finished our game for the jam

It's our second game jam, be kind (the game is still pretty buggy :( )
We can't wait to play everyone's games !
A character from the game I'm making. I sure hope I finish.
(that's what she said)

It is done, I finished the game, as always there are a few more things I wanted to add but alas I got something out
Presenting you, The Last Summoner! You are the last summoner trying to survive the skeleton apocalypse with nothing at hand but your trusty summons.

Made with Odin & Raylib <3

Something very important lies in this chest, because so many ships sailed for it! What is this? Money? Happiness? Someone's death?

Here's one of the familiar you can summon in the game! Cute, but deadly, without a doubt!

Let's have a good night sleep and finish tomorrow...
Good luck to everyone in Compo, can't wait to try out your games during my breaks!!
Good night everybody!
I've got still a lot to do tomorrow. Here is a small sneak peak of my game. You play as a summoned demon, that is trying to break free from the wizard's summoning spell. To do so, you need to collect poison ingredients, while the wizard is not looking and then poisoning his drink.

Will the rules page be updated soon? I remember more than half a year ago the rules page became 404ed, and it's still the same: https://ludumdare.com/rules/
My current question is: Can I post a game as Compo, then work on it further and submit it as a Jam?
I only had a few hours in total, so instead of a game I decided to model and animate a little loop of summoning a not-so-scary demon. You can still play along as the sorcerer! 🧙🏻♂️

It's made in Needle Engine (browser-based with integrations into Blender/Unity), and is especially fun in AR on Quest/VisionPro but also Android/iOS.
🥽 Watch a video of it in action on AVP here: twitter.com/hybridherbst/status/1779582981687877886.
👉 And try it live: engine.needle.tools/samples-uploads/summoning-animation/.

I'm making a game where we can use the phone to summon something just by calling to it. Here I did an experiment with a frog.

Spent all my time painting this background and fighting the Rust programming language! Probably won't finish it :/

In my final hours I write a blog post to take my mind off from how hilarious simple and stupid I made the gameplay of my game... and just how much more I love to go about and 3D model things... I can't wait to show off my "stunning" visuals and gloomy atmosphere, with a neat little soundtrack, as people mindlessly click away at the game immersed in it's glory (hopefully, idk really this might be a huge flop)
Finished adding and configuring the narration system with the proper transitions between each phases. Just left with the creature invocation for tomorrow and then a lot of integration and polish plus some sound design to do ^^

Going to bed now and ready to tackle what's left tomorrow!!
This was the 20th time I successfully created a Ludum Dare game!

Since it's 2 AM in here and I have to wake up in 5 hours to go teach some game programming, I'm going to reminiscence later!

Even though I may have streched the theme a Little and I had very little time this LD, I am happy to publish this veeery simple game called ManaMaychem :blue_heart:
Ugh it's getting harder and harder to find time the older you get :slight_frown: I'll hope for more time in October.
If you wanna relax a bit and cast some random spells, here it is :joy:
I will definitely play others games in upcoming days :joystick:
In the meantime, keep going COMPO guys, I know you can do it!
And remember, it's all for FUN in the end :two_hearts:
