I guess I’m in
I’m completely free of all duties, so I’m in. I hope to make a game, even if it’s bad or awesome.
Like always I will use Game Maker Studio, GraphicsGale, Bfxr, Audacity and PXtone (if I have time).
Good luck and good dev time.

That is going to be my second Ludum Dare entry. The themes are damn good this year! I wish that I could use code from previous projects. I would create a beauty in 48hs.
I am competing solo using:
I don’t know anything about making music so I’ll try to record some ambient sounds to keep the mood in game. Also I am not a artist so graphics can be terrible.
Wish me creativity(luck isn’t enough).

Hey Guys,
I shall be participating, as always. You know the drill.
Also, here are some kittens. Because no LD-game is complete without them.

After missing two consecutive LDs, we want to relax a little bit from working on Tako’s Japanese and start working on something completely different in our 3rd LD.
Last time we participated we were able to finish the game but the result wasn’t as good as we expected. We hope this time we can come up with something better
So we will be using:
– Language: ActionScript 3 / Flash
– IDE: FlashDevelop
– Assets: Illustrator / Photoshop / Flash
– Audio: Audacity / BFXR
– Food: Pizza and Coke
Good luck to everyone!!
The game developer formerly known as NAMKCOR is in. I’ve had a lot of fun with these in the past ( though summers seem cursed for me ), and I’m looking forward to tonight!
I will use Haxe and HaxePunk in Sublime Text. I also will use Renoise for sounds, SFXR for samples and effects, and audacity for filetype work. If I need a font, I’ll be using Stately.
You can follow me here for my hourly updates, or on http://tswitch.tumblr.com/ Lastly feel free to add my twitter handle, @drwSwitch, and complain loudly at me for not updating it that often.
This will be my 4th year participating (annually) in ludum dare. I will be doing a Jam with 1-2 other people, depending on who all is in, which will make it the largest group ive worked with for LD thus far.
Not sure what we will be using, but on the table is C# with XNA, Java with jmonkey, and unity for the overall architecture. Likely using audacity and fruity loops for musical bits, and photoshop/gimp/blender for graphics.
I’m still not absolutely sure I can do this, but I’ve got some tools and I think I’m ok on time so I’m gonna go for it!
I’m either using Java or Multimedia Fusion for development, depending on whether or not I decide how easy it would be to implement the Java game frameworks in this short amount of time.
I’m first time participate in this event. Hopefully I can made it to end of the event. Also trying to live stream on development progress.
Tool:
Asset tool:
Will use Unity 3D for develop, Lmms for sound and maybe Graphics Gale for art.
I’ll try use Unity’s 2D features, never had used, so I will learn to use while the event is going. 😀
Cheers and good luck everybody!
You know it! I’ll be streaming all my development live on my twitch channel. Come hang out!
I just got a new laptop (Lenovo y510p w/ dual GTX 750Ms) and so I’ll finally have dual monitors! I’m pretty pumped. The microphone is not set up yet – have to go pick it up from a friend’s house as I’ll be borrowing it. That said, here’s the pics!

Looking forward to this! Let’s make some games!!

I’m super excited to participate in the solo competition. This will be my second failure at Ludum Dare! I will be working off a base codebase on Github that includes:
I’m making a game about ponies related to the theme… crosses fingers.
EDIT: Forgot link to base code that’s required by comp. https://github.com/mdwheele/gdx-game
I plan to participate, but my gaming machine died on me last night, so I’m not sure how that’s all gonna work. I’ll still try to participate if the theme sparks a feasible idea quickly enough, though I’ll be relegated to laptop tools only. Who knows? That could be a good limiter.
I failed to complete my entry for LD27 which was the only other LD I’ve tried to participate in. So, if I do compete, hopefully I get further than last time 😉
Good luck everyone!
I will use C and SDL. My dev platform is gNewSense on a MIPS-based laptop.
Good luck everybody!
This is my first time entering Ludum Dare (or any compo for that matter).
I expect it to be mainly a learning opportunity and I have already learned a lot from you guys. The post mortems are really helpful as are the many tips and stories you are sharing. Thank you so much.
I will probably use Unity (2D only), Gimp, Inkscape. I have never done any sound work before so I need to take a look at the many tools that are mentioned regularly.
I don’t trust myself too much, because of panic attacks, so I’m joining solo. Worst that can happen is I don’t make a game.
But I’m in!
As usual:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash for the art
Construct 2 for the code
FLstudio for the music
This is my last game, Legend of Troll

This is going to be the second time I enter. My last entry wasn’t that great but I got a lot of good feedback.
I’m going to use Unity this time and probably Garageband for sounds. For graphics i’ll use Paint.net and possibly draw some graphics.
So I’m finally going to have a go with this, it’s my first time because I’ve kept on telling myself I’ll do it and something has always came along!
No more excuses I say!
So I’ll be going with Unity’s cool new 2D stuff. I’ve not really used it much for 2D but I’ll give it a go. Oh and probably Bfxr for sound and Paint.NET for art. I’m not great with art but I’ll give it a go.
Really looking forward to this, good luck to everyone here!
The weapon of choice will again be Python and PyGame. This time I will try pixelart, though, instead of pencil sketches.
