LD29 April 25–28, 2014

On your marks!

Hi everybody!

I’m very excited, the possible themes are awesome. Was hard to resist the temptation of start thinking something!

I’ll plan to use Construct 2 <3   and depending the theme and the idea photoshop and/or Illustrator. Guitar pro for the music, and coffe and mate (an infusion we drink in Argentina)  for avoiding falling asleep !

If you want to know more about where i came from this is our gamejolt profile page :)   http://gamejolt.com/profile/avix/234408/

Good jamming people!!

I Believe I’m Ready

First Lundum Dare ever, tried to get in 2013 (I believe it was in 2013, the last one) and didn’t have the time, so here i am!

I will be using:

Code: Unknown (Depending On Theme; Java, .NET, ect.)

Sounds: Sfxr

Images: GIMP

Other: Eclipse (If Java Is The Language I Use) and Visual Stuido 2013 (If I Choose .NET)

Running Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM.

Hope I Do Well, and hope no one voted for a bad theme!

(Luck To All Also)

Update: Might Also Stream With XSplit, if I am able to get it working.

Ludum Dare!

I’m probably gonna participate using Unity 3D, Blender, Gimp and Bfxr.

Good Luck!

We are in !

Language : HTML / PHP / JS

Take it slow ;)

I’m in!

I do not have much Jaming experience: only SOS’s 0h Game Jam and one 48h Nordic Game Jam which I’m still psychically  recovering from 😉 This will be my first Ludum :)

So the plan is to get some good sleep, know the Theme and go for a long walk doing some other business I have planned for Saturday. Then on Saturday evening I’ll try to make something – no pressure :) I might put some more work on it on Sunday – but again, I already have some plans for that day also, so I will not be 100% focused on the Compo.

Best of luck to everyone and see you on twitch.tv :)

Keeping up the run

Having a run of 9 Ludum Dares I took part in and never having missed one since I began, I keep going. I will reach double digits if I make it after all!

Tools/Librarys I might use:

  • Sublime Text 2
  • Gimp
  • Blender
  • Audacity
  • SFXR/BFXR
  • Otomata
  • Music Creator 6
  • Chrome/Firefox Developer Tools
  • Three.js
  • Require.js

On a side note: Do you think it is OK to use Suzanne (the Monkey-ish base object of Blender) as a character model in the Compo? What about using it as a base and modifying it?

I’m In

Hi guys, this will be my second attempt at LD. Should be fun!  Best of luck to you all :)

Software

  • Unity3d
  • Photoshop
  • Blender
  • Audacity

Back again!

Right I’m back to give this thing another go. My last attempt resulted in me not quite finishing my game because I spent a little too long on the randomization.

I’m going for a simular setup again:

– Unity (2D stuff)

– Paint.NET for art

– BFXR for sound

– Possibly a bit of Pixietracker for a bit of basic music.

Really excited to give this another go. I’m hoping to go to a party on Saturday night but I’m still determined to go for this (I just might have to do something simplier!)

I’m in for my first Ludum Dare

Hi everyone! This will be my first go round, by decided it was finally time I jump in for the first time. I’m super excited.

Tools

Engine: Either Unity or Phaser (HTML5) depending on the theme

Art: Gimp, possibly Paint.NET

Sound: SFXR

If I go with Phaser, I’ll probably be using some code I wrote earlier this week. It’s just a very basic hex grid set up. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8920926/hexGame.js.

Good luck everyone!

Letsu go !

I’ll be participating to this LD29.

I’ll use Unity3D as a game engine, Photoshop for gfx, Blender if I use 3D and Maschine if I implement sound.

Third tI’m in

What did I not mangle that title enough?? 😛

Anyway. This time I’m teaming up with a friend who’s doing art for my game and has done art for my candy jam entry. Which can be found here http://boaheck.itch.io/candy-rush-saga (shameless self promotion 😉 ) . So we’ll be using:

~Unity3d (Got the free 30 day trial so excited.)

~Photoshop Elements 11 + wacom bamboo pen and touch.

~BFXR/SFXR

Last time I focused too much on story and art and not enough on the gameplay. I feel hppy enough with what I made but unhappy with it’s unfinishedness and bad fit to the theme.

and the time before I was still learning but managed to pull off something pretty decent.

I look forward to the games that will come from this.

~Boa

I’m in!

Has been a while since my last Ludum Dare. This time doing it live at Sony’s Hackathon in Lund, Sweden.

Will be streaming as much as possible from my twitch account.

Tools you say?

Probably Unity and some generators… We’ll see.

Trying again this time

Ludum Dare #27 didn’t go so great for me, but #1GAM has bitten me with the game development bug so I’m back for another try.

Tools:

  • FlashDevelop
  • Flixel
  • Paint.net
  • sfxr
  • Emacs
  • ChronoLapse (shots every 10 seconds, 28 fps video)

I’m not live streaming, but you can check out my automagically updating status page here: Ludum Dare #29. There’s nothing there yet, but once the theme is announced it’ll be updated with screenshots, git commits and other stuff.

First Time

Hi,

this will be the first time for me. I do have some programming experience, but never programmed a full game but i do hope to actually finish with something playable. I will use the same Tools as Quill18 (Unity, Blender, Photoshop mostly), since I watched his tutorials in preparation.

good luck

I’m in too!

Hi everyone!

It’s going to be a blast to once again take part of this epic event! I’m excited for the theme, and excited to see what everyone will produce. :)

I don’t have a complete list of tools that I’m using. But as it looks now:

  • Unity as primary development environment.
  • Visual Studio 2012 as programming environment.
  • Bfxr for sound effects.
  • Paint.net for art (I suppose it won’t be anything fancy, as I’m mainly a programmer and have limited experience in pretty much everything else).
  • Abundant Music for the music.
  • Chronolapse for taking some frequent screenshots to use for a development timelapse later.

That’s all for now I believe. I should probably find something to do within the next 2 hours. Maybe a power nap will be good, considering I’m in Sweden (so the compo begins at 03:00AM). Good luck everyone, and happy developing! :)

It’s my birthday

I’ll be participating to this LD29, on this my 29th birthday. First time so, not sure what to post here. Will be using Adobe products for art and sound, and Unity/Unreal / some js or html5 engine, just depends on the theme and what idea I have. Open source it on github… That is all I can think to post for now. Wooo- let’s do this!
