LD33 August 21–24, 2015

I’m in

I have no time this weekend… Ahhh, fuck it, I am in.

First participation.

I will use:

Language: Java with libGDX Framework or C# with Unity Engine

Graphics: Paint.net and GIMP

Audio: Audacity

See you

I’m In :)

First time to participate to a LD.

Will be using Unity, Photoshop, Audacity, Sfxr.

Good luck everybody and have a nice LD :)

This Ludum Dare . . .

I’m not in.

LOLJK!

Language: Haxe

Frameworks: Flixel, Lycan (available on my github)

Audio: Reaper

Art: PyxelEdit

In

Programming : Haxe + openfl + custom LD Starter (https://bitbucket.org/Lythom/ldtemplate) OR Javascript + ReactJS (depending on how heavy I rely on UI)

Graphics : Paint.NET + plugin “Alpha Mask” + plugin “Curves+” (and other plugins in pack)

Sounds : Anything I can find (still haven’t found a proper workflow for music and sounds) but mostly Audacity.

I plan to explore a progression gameplay using words semantic (in english). I wish the theme we’ll allow me to get there !
Have fun everyone =)

First Ludum Dare :)

First time I’m actually available when it’s on, so will be entering with a small team.

Expect to fail hard, being first one, and not free the whole period. But should be fun either way :)

Language: C#

Engine: XNA

IDE: Visual Studio

Graphics: MSPaint, Whatever else I have laying around on my laptop

Sound: bfxr

Other: Pizza, lot’s of pizza

If you’re only going to use mspaint for art, I recommend paint.net. Or if you’re going to do pixel art by chance, I recommend piskelapp.com and paletton.com

I’m in!

This is my third attempt and hopefully my first success! Going to try and make something as simple as possible this time.

Tools:

Language and IDE: C++ and Code::Blocks

Graphics Library: SFML

Graphics Design: Paint.net, Photoshop, Inkscape

Music: Likely Autotracker and possibly FL Studio

Sound Effects: likely BFXR

In, but this time it’s personal

The last time I did a ludum dare flash was still the go to language (imo). However maybe not the case anymore. Unity tempts me, but chrome and its npapi disapproval, hmm, less tempting.

Code/framework: JS + Phaser

Music: Who am I kidding I never get around to music

SFX: bfxr

Graphics: Photoshop

Did a dry run with phaser to get comfortable with the toolset and quick setup. Ended up using a yeoman generator which is handy. See le gif (I promise the framerate is better irl):

Let’s roll!

Even though I’ll only have one of the weekend days available, I will try!

Language: C# 6
Libraries: OpenTK, ObjectTK (awesome)
IDE: Visual Studio 2015
Graphics: Paint.NET, Blender
Sound: Whatever I can find that works
Other: 10kg of desperation

Sadly I will not have my second screen available for this one!

I’m in!

This is my second time entering, but hopefully my first success.

Language: Java

Engine: either LWJGL or nothing, depending on my idea

IDE: Eclipse

Graphics: Paint.NET

Modelling: Blender

Music/Sounds: FL Studio, Audacity

I’m really excited for this.  Good luck to everyone!

5th time’s a charm – I’m in

This will be my fifth Ludum Dare in a row. Hoping for the best and we’ll see what happens. I’ll be happy to just have people play whatever I make and hopefully beat some of my past scores.

Once again I’ll be tweeting my progress as I go.

Good luck everyone.

Am I in or am I not?

I think I am. If there is enough time on the weekend.

My tools of choice will be:

Unity + Visual Studio,
Photoshop,
Adobe Audition for Audio
Reaper for Music, if necessary
Blender for 3D if necessary

I have a few basic helper scripts in C# for Unity which I will probably use. They are over here: http://github.com/talecrafter/GameJamFramework

Wish all of you a great idea and then the luck and determination of making it through! Huzzah!

I’m in!

I’ve done game jams before, but never followed through with an LD. This time I’m actually doing it, I swear!

Weapons of choice
Engines/Frameworks: Unreal 4 (C++, 3D) | LibGDX (Java, 2D) | Phaser (JS, Web)
Editors: Visual Studio | Eclipse | Notepad++
Graphics: Paint.NET
AudioFX: BFXR, Audacity

In

… using pure js.

Maybe this time will be the one…

I´m In

Im In
Language: Game Maker

Graphics: Photoshop, Spriter

Audio: Music Maker, FL

I’m in

Or rather we are. We are legion.

I’m in again!

I’m in again (5th time already), and the one man army Chien Loco will be posting a new game sometime in Sunday :). As usual, tools will be:

  • C/C++
  • Code::Blocks
  • Gimp
  • Tiled
  • sfxr
  • Punk-O-Matic
  • Inkscape
  • Chien2D v3.0 Beta
  • SDL2
  • Chipmunk physics (not sure yet)

See you guys in the comments section later :D.

To Dare or not to Dare…

I’ll probably LD it up this weekend! This will be the first LD I’ve done since learning Game Maker. Previously I used to use C#/XNA, and it was a bit of a hassle just setting up the infrastructure for any game I worked on, even though I got really good at it. I use many more user friendly (and mostly free) tools now, including but not limited to:

  • Piskelapp.com
  • paletton.com
  • pxtone
  • musagi
  • bfxr.net
  • Game Maker Studio Pro
  • paint.net
  • Dropbox
  • Pyxeledit
  • freesound.org
  • Reaper (possibly)

Since I am able to build prototypes for games much faster with these tools than before, I should be able to make a much better game. We’ll see! Good luck everyone!

That why I love LD as well: getting to know lots of cool tools

I am in! :)

Second time in, and now feel I understand my tools MUCH better this time around.  I am still working on my game from Ludum Dare 31, but learned a lot since last year. 😀

Engines/Frameworks: Unity 5.0

Graphics: Inkscape, Photoshop

AudioFX: BFXR

Beastmode na

Nabebeast mode na ako! This is my first time to join in this kind of event.
