I don’t think I have time this weekend, but then I made this spaceship
I really want to participate, but not sure if I have time. Might just prototype some stuff and see how it goes!

Alright so my first plan was a kind of laziness game so to speak with the main character being a slave in the Egyptian times and being forced to build a pyramid. but whenever the ‘enemy’ wasn’t watching, you would basically slack off and earn points. but as I developed the character I realized two things. one, I have no idea on an actual AI system yet and two, the character looks nothing like a slave. So, now I have no idea what I’ll end up making but at least have the characters idle and walking sprites finished and a couple of tiles that might end up working for some kind of pyramid anyway.

A late “I’m in” post. It’s my 5th LD and this time I’m going for a top down submarine exploration game.

A submarine and a sea mark fully animated
I’m making it with Javascript using :
This time I want to add some “story” to my entry, will try to make a dialog system with some puzzles / riddles. The idea is to retrieve parts to build an item made of ancient technology.
I’m streaming, so if you want to stop by : https://www.twitch.tv/maxguntv
Online version : http://maxgun.fr/ld36/

I hope to make some interesting stuff about exploration and puzzles, first time on this part so I dunno if I’ll nail it ><So as I already posted, I am making a game in written in pure assembly (Linux/Windows x64). And I got some good progress, there is a fully working combat, turned based system, every time you go to combat you get a random enemy, and the amount of damage done is also random (from 0-max_attack)
It will probably won’t win first place, but I am happy I made a game in Assembly 😛
(I would show something but it is text based so there isn’t much to show)

Damn, Unity makes prototyping easy.
It was so quick and simple to put together a ragdoll with no prior experience (albeit, a simple model without bones or skinning).
Now to start making it so that I can actually throw my new toys!
Here is some footage of our engine, we woudl welcome you to guess what engine this is.

Planning for a first Ludum Dare entry here. Didn’t even know the competition had started. Either way I’ve made some progress on my entry!
Using Unity and Blender. Here’s a little teaser.
Please excuse the framerate of the gif.
Exciting stuff!

Graphics need a bit of work, I think. ;^^ And there’s still plenty more to do. (Like figure out why my game isn’t playing sound. Maybe it only does that after exporting?) But I think I got the gameplay working right? Let’s hope so. ;^^
Place clay blocks to be able to navigate the interior of the obelisk while avoiding enemies. That’s the basic idea. c:
Top notch standing sprite
Okay, I’m in. Tools:
Clojurescript, pixi.js, sunvox.
I have desided that different parts of my game will take place inside 5 different graphing calculators. This wont be exact emulation of the calculators, but rather a simulation. So the question is – can i use preexisting skins in my game and submit as compo?
By “skins” I mean this: https://github.com/rogersachan/Wabbit/blob/a41282980e58aecc7ba038abbed4c0fa93b483d2/WabbitStudio/Source/Wabbitemu/gui/TI-83.png

etc.
It seems like the gif video failed last time so here is the full video

Got a funky idea for a game. Let’s gooooooo!
Tools: Unity 3D, sfxr, the internet
Hello everyone!
We finished working on idea. Now it’s time to start prototyping the core game mechanics. I hope we will finish game in time. We don’t have a lot of game dev experience, but i know i’ll be fun.
I’ll propably set up a live stream, so you’re free to join. Stream language will be Russian but you can write comments in English. Communication is a key to success. GL to everyone.
Well, maybe it’s a bit ambitious to try making a map generation system at a time like this
Even if i can’t finish game in 48h, in the end i will have a decent map maker algorythm :).
Late start but…
2D game, Unity 5.4, C# and Git.
Bye! 😀
Hello. I was reading some post, your thoughts, from here. Well, I am here just to introduce me (Hello again!). Now, my thoughts…
I am a lone game developer, and I have a little time. So, something simple… Puzzles! I think that Ancient Technology goes well with puzzles. But I need a twist… Each piece of the puzzle is a puzzle itself. Here goes an idea for everybody.
This idea come from the dungeons from Zelda: Ocarina of Time; where I read that each dungeon, or levels, was a puzzle and each room a piece of the puzzle.
For those who have curiosity (like me = ‘ ^ ‘ =) about tools and platform I am going to use
*HTML5 game, and JavaScript will be my programming language
*Phaser is going to be my framework
*Editor: Geany, Brackets or Atom. Right now I don’t know…
I want something simple to use and easy to deploy. I hope show progress
Have a nice gamedev
