Dialogue~

I can now place NPC markers on the map and it’ll create little speech bubbles when you stand on them!
It surprised me how easy it was and its all dynamic so I can add triggers in other places to change an NPC’s dialogue!

progress vid – attack, interaction, ui, movement

tomorrow i’ll go and do art and levels (both procgen and not) and stuff

Entering for the first time with my best buddy.

Hello  there everybody, hope you all are coming along great with the theme.

So for the first time me and my friend are joining the madness in hope of a fun and hard working time!

We have a great mix of abilities. My friend isn’t that used to game development but is somehow really good at it. He usually stands for music, graphics and always comes up with amazing game ideas. Me myself, i stand for the overall programming and got a solid grasp of Unity and how to screw everything together.

So hopefully we are gonna end with a fun game in the end of the weekend, even though we are still in the brainstorming phase 😀

Have a great Ludum Dare everybody!

Wish you all the best!

I’m in

Hi everyone !

I’m in, alone with:

  • Unity
  • Blender & sketchup
  • Photoshop
  • FL studio and SFXR

This looks like something!

I hope so, Dalia. #LD36 #LudumDare #screenshotsaturday #indiedev pic.twitter.com/1182Pie3M0

Wow! The idea comes quick, at least! I have some priority list for the game, It would be awesome if I can do all!

  1. Finish all the story! (damn! I hope so!)
  2.  Voice for Dalia: I want to record myself as Dalia, I think that will be quite cool.
  3.  Menu for the game.
  4. Animation: Day-Night in the window,  light in the radio etc.

Let’s see how I goes.

Go, go, everybody!!

Yay for Fungus! It’s an awesome tool :)

We’re in !

Just waking up and a bit late but we are in !

I’m waiting for my teammates and we will start this.

We just add some personnal request to the jam, we want to make a real time game (no more turn by turn) and give importance to music.

We will use Unity !

Good luck everyone !

Things are going?

I got sidetracked for a couple of hours, but I now have the core game idea fleshed out, and have fiddled enough with Unity to think I know enough to implement it. I’ve used Unity before, but only in groups and building off of foundations. Very daunting creating something from scratch with it! Also Blender, Blender is very hard…

Envisioned design & progress

Here we go #LDJAM pic.twitter.com/FMYfHQDnPo

When I woke up at 5 am and instantly went to the LD website to view the theme, I was a bit disappointed about it, because it is not a good theme for combat mechanics.

Had an idea about a top-down labyrinth with pressure plates, pistons and the goal to leave the labyrinth as efficient as possible (& also vases as Legend of Zelda reference)
scrapped it because it would be probably be too much work without a fun result.

Then I googled for famous ancient technologies and a game idea on pyramids came to my mind: A one-button pyramid construction game that works like following:
bricks are moving horizontaly on the screen (back and forth).
The player has to build the pyramid as non-fragile as possible by dropping the bricks on top of each other.

It will be a game about “tower” construction and timing.

-maybe add different shaped bricks and the possibility to rotate them

-lose condition: 1. the tower is too fragile
2. you are dropping the bricks too slow

In the short video, you are able to see my progress so far.

Maybe in ?

Hey everyone! I wanted so badly to make something out of that Ludum Dare but sadly for me, I’m not home at the moment and will only be able to work on a very small project on Monday.

We shall see how this going to play I guess. Good luck everyone!

Sprites Everywhere!

I want to sleep, so…

This is my progress for today :3

Very interested in seeing a horror game!

Ideas are starting to flow…

Slowly but surely I am filling pages with ideas for the game jam. I’m just writing everything down I can think of, no matter how stupid or unoriginal. Seems to work out fine thus far!

We’re In !

The two of us are in :) first game jam for my girlfriend, we have a nice concept already. Good luck everyone !

Using :

Unity 5.4 (C#)

Photoshop

3DS Max (maybe)

Hey y’all.

Just saying that I’m in. And I think I figured out my game. Going to be using Clickteam Fusion 2.5. Probably will be a solo effort.

So Excited for This! Good Luck!

Hello! I represent a team of two under the name of TechHeads Studios.

This is my first ever Ludum Dare, and I am extremely excited to see how it turns out!

Anyways, Good Luck everyone, and here is an assets showcase for assets I made in the last 6 hours!

Unplanned join

Had a quick look at the theme and decided to join, when originally no plan.
I’ll work with my partner to make a prison escape game using the tried and true method of a catapult!

You’ll need to get the people over the wall by moving it into place, first firing a mattress over and then yourself, trying to land on the mattress before you can be home free. There will be a set amount of prisoners and you’ll need to try to help as many as possible escape.

Or at least, that’s the plan. We’ll see how it goes as I’m hoping to put in some form of ragdoll physics and I’ve not done that before.
