It’s alive! It’s alive!!
At last!
I was sorta taking lots of breaks thinking there’s no way I’d finish the mechanics in time…
it seems like the gameplay is kinda ready and structured good enough to add cool stuff
and start some levels going on! 😛

The theme really got me at first, after trying different kinds of ideas I finally decide to make the Eating Machine in the movie Modern Times. Trying to keep the funny mechanism and the silent film aesthetics.
So after 10+ hours’ working I submit my demo. It’s my first solo jam, so I guess it’s good to keep it simple.
Welcome to try it out~ And leave a comment if you like. Hope everyone have fun and make awesome game. 😀
Very rough sketch of the main character Son Goku – Monkey King
Doing pretty well right now. 😉

I finally have a clear vision for the core gameplay…
I hope it’s not to late (i don’t think it is). So actual gameplay programming starts now – this is a small teaser of what I got so far:

This Ludum I wanted to make a serious game about a difficult subject that I have experienced recently. I can say that this game shows more about me than I ever have showed or told anyone else.
Soon I will post some images and GIFs
Does anyone know how to help me? There is no “media” option to upload images and my posts are always “pending”

Ok… I do not feel like that it is fair that I ask you guys to help me review the code and figure out what is wrong with it… in short I am opting out of the competition and I was hoping that someone would help me with the code… not going to submit it… but I will supply a link to the netbeans project file right here:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6cr4TJPM0aJSWU3Y3NIMThPaEE&usp=sharing
For the future I wanna learn from my mistakes… take part in more Game Jams, finish a game… bla bla… you get the spin… plus I was not up to speed, a little rusty… and this is probably the biggest project I have ever done! So yeah that concludes my Ludum Dare experience… HAVE FUN YOU GUYS AND GALES!!! 😀

Due to internet connection woes I’m only joining today. Working on an endless runner (yeah, I know…) that sees the player running from a boulder through a temple filled with deadly ancient traps, so basically the opening scene from Temple of Doom.
Got the endless scrolling and player movement working so far, still need to implement collision detection and the traps. Not sure how exacly I’m going to handle death/respawning or increasing the difficulty, but I’ll figure something out.

So, a friendly user named Dia6lo pointed me in the right direction for getting gifs to work. Let’s see how this goes… It worked! Check it out:

The player picks up the parachute and uses it to overcome the ledge, as instructed by the cave drawing!
Good luck everyone! 😀
One simple question. How do you make animations in your posts? Do oyu use a specific program?! And wich data ending is required? (my .gif is not working).
BAM. I am SO happy with my results this ludum dare. There is so much I still wanted to add, but I just don’t have time. I’m going to continue working on this game for sure. Play it at http://dandoes.tech/LD36
Thanks folks!
I finished the gameplay. Now i just need some music and i’m ready to go!

So my entry and my first time doing LD Morse Code Morris.
This Concept and title literally fell into my lap, I was up late the other night waiting for the 2am announcement here in the UK when my Girlfriend Came in from work about 2:15am whilst i was figuring out what to do for the theme i said ancient technology and straight away she responded with Morse Code (she actually said morris code by mistake hence the characters name now) and that was it i began on this little odd one.
The Idea is you have to navigate Morris to a portal that will advance him to the next stage there are 6 portals on each stage 5 kill you 1 takes you to the next. The Name of the Correct Portal is told to you in Morse Code through the audio so the idea is to get a pen and paper decypher the code and go to that Portal. Simple as that also throw in some Enemies to Dodge to and you have a game.
I made it in SEUK (Shoot Em Up Kit) a program i have become quite fond of for Jamming and doing different stuff with.
The Graphics where whipped up in Photoshop and the sound was done with Magix and a Morse code Generator.
Still Polishing it up and working on an accompanying document to help you de cypher the code.
Here is a video of me testing it.
My game doesn`t have any sounds :DDD Maybe i wait a little bit and add them quickly before submitting 😀
Hello dear ludumers !
Our team still working hard on the game,
we took a personal and technical decision about the story,
the game will be in english (text, UI, and subtiltes)
but the vocaloid will be in french and the most part of sounds too.
False Promise will be an awesome experience !

Very shoddy, kinda random, and there’s probably a game hidden somewhere.
Heck, I just love working on this.
