Finaly..
Time is so short.

Time is so short.

So, the systems are all in place, now to make the dungeon itself. This is where things get messy, I hope the mechanics are solid and deep enough to ensure the game doesn’t get repetitive.
As you’ll see from the gif, you mustn’t allow your torch to die, for the torch is one of humanity’s very first piece of technology! This magic torch drains very slowly, but being hit by enemies drains it lots, and using your attack drains it a bit too, so you must be conservative and navigate your way to the five magic braziers you need to ignite!
😀
Good Luck Have Fun with the rest of your five remaining hours guys.
Taha and Technicolour

Well, our Jam entry is posted. Now it’s time to recover 😀
Today just reserved some more hours to make the final minor bug fixes for a nice gameplay ^^ Hope everyone enjoyed the game ~

-Start game in window mode (F1 to toggle fullscreen once in game)

Almost done! Gotta add 2 more mini bosses, and some more rooms and then it’s all good to go. The ending is really lame but I don’t have time to make a proper one.

Wow! I am so tired. Just uploaded my Jam Entry. check it out!
Hey guys! This was my first ludum dare, and i think it went very well, but i need some of you guys to review my game! Thanks a lot!
Now, I’m done
// time to sleep zZz…
So I joined in half-way through but I got really excited to do most/all of the art for Pickens Inc.’s game.
We’d met a couple of weeks ago and I expressed my ability to do some forms of digital art, he recruited me half-way through the Ludum Dare to fix his bricks… and I just sort of kept going xd.
DAY 1 (For me):
First thing I did as mentioned previously was all of his brick textures/sprites. Then I did the player character sprite, then his walk animation. All of this took me an entire afternoon, I believe I started at 15:30 and finished at 23:45.
Very proud of the walking animation I did!

DAY 2 (For me):
Final day of Ludum dare and I’ve got a few things I still need to do, enemies, jumps and attack animations!
Attack animation completed!

A few hours in, Pickens/Poly has woken up so now I can get some feedback for my work, he likes it!
Took me ages to split up the character’s torso and legs for independant animation. Looks good though.
Made a couple of pedestal-brazier-things, a grey and a blue one. They look mighty pretty if I say so myself.
Wow, this door took me forever! All the variant/frames for it plus just the design and implementation, wow. Took me the better part of 3 hours!
Made an outside/beginning area, took some inspiration from shovel knight, I quite like it.
Realised I needed to update my journal, here it is!
We tried to think of a name, Wik Dungeon, Torch, Ignite… Ig-Knight! … It’s a placeholder.
We found some really cool copyright free 8bit music. Thanks TeknoAxe!
Can’t stop listening to it!
I’ve finished all my major jobs, time to fill in the boring gaps in the dungeon with some aesthetic props/guff.
Done a bunch of paintings and and stuff for filler, helped Pickens map out the levels in the game.
Finished everything I can do, just have to hope Taha can put it all together in time!

Hi everybody ! These have been 3 intense days, and here is my jam entry for this Ludum Dare 36 \o/
This time I decided to go back to what made my childhood awesome and surely what made me a game developer today.
I wish you’ll have as much fun to play it than I had fun to make it in these past 72 hours.
And remember…
Shoot or die !
So 4 hours to go and Leblane got a menu and Halides got music / sfx and I have movement and all I have to do now is:
add the actual game part.
But it sort of looks a bit like I might be able to do that… let’s see
I can’t find my game in Feedback Friends. I submited my game yesterday via Ludum Date main page. Do i have to submit/enable my game to FF, or is it intended to not see your game? I used incognito mode and still wasn’t able to find my game. Im sorry if this is “nooby”/ stupid question but i just recently found out that this LD will be different from prevoious ones.
You’re a blacksmith and you run a shop
It works like a fast food sim/ikea assembly game
“One of my favourite games to play with the HTC Vive” IGN, on Job Simulator
“made me feel like I could finally create art.” Destructoid, on Google TiltBrush
“I managed to get my friends – they got excited about it so we banded together and started cranking.” RockPaperShotgun, on Fantastic Contraption

Got my computer bad guys aiming (and shooting) working!! It wasn’t too hard, my AI was already making the model face the player, just had to do a bit of math voodoo and tell the gun to aim at the player too. Does it look weird close up? Maybe, but no one will ever notice because when it happens you’re getting shot at!!

So I’ve been watching the past two LDs, and this year I decided to participate for the first time. When I heard the theme, I knew immediately that I wanted to do something steampunk related, and I came up with Hippie Horde.

Looking back on this, my thought process was probably something like “Maybe a big steampunk machine. Hippies wouldn’t like that. Maybe they should be the enemies. But how would I have a story that makes sense? Oh! I could add a time machine. What kind of time machine? Oh! It could be a Tardis!”
So for my first Ludum Dare I made a game where there is a steampunk generator, a horde of hippies, and a Tardis. All in the same game. I don’t know if I should be proud of that or not.
Anyway, a HUGE thanks to everyone who made Ludum Dare possible. Your work is very appreciated. And also a thanks to POV for running LD for so long. Hope you have some opportunities to rest over your “break” (I don’t even know if it’s right to call it a break, considering how hard you’re probably working!)
Great job to everyone who participated. Now to go play some new games!

Hello fellow Ludum Darers!
Soo… this is our first LD entry. We are a team of two people, and haven’t ever had a chance to makea project as large scale as this. We are glad the game is playable – we weren’t hoping for much more towards the beginning. (it’s not as polished as we would have liked it, but I’m definitely happy with the outcome)
This was a great experience, and we hope to get a chance to participate in another jam!
The first day I was loosing time doing a gamebook based on ancient civilization. Luckily a cool guy at a stream (I am very productive you know) told me it was about ancient technology.
I tried to make a fake calculator based on ancient number representation. It was fun, and not so hard, so here I am. I finished another ludum dare 3 years after the first one. 😀
Well, I didn’t make the compo but managed to scrape my way into the Jam. The game is currently windows only. The source will be going up tomorrow cos my internet is just too damn slow. Hopefully I don’t get kicked out for doing that but it can’t be helped. Source is 100mb + and I can’t upload it here. Anyway, Jam was sort of a success. Made a weird game about temples and finding relics and flying to the moon and a big Ancient golden ship.
Tools used : Unity 3D, Sublime IDE, Audacity, Paint.net, Bfxr.
