Got basic enemies and an attack done. Health is implemented for both enemies and the player on a rudimentary level. Unfortunately work is rolling up real soon and I have to get ready for it.

I just found out I have to upload my source code somewhere. If I understood correctly, source codes are the programming scripts. Am I right??
Is uploading source codes secure??
Planning on having enemies coming from the other directions while this is happening so there is actually a challenge.

I finished this game in record time, for me at least. Started Saturday around 9 and 95% of the features were done only 12 hours later!
It's published on itch now (sadly only for Linux, since I'm having problems compiling it for windows): https://pietptr.itch.io/hop-up
And here is the source code: https://github.com/PietPtr/LD38
If anyone feels like trying to compile it for windows, leave a comment :)

I am In!
Just wanted to say hi, I'm making quite a bad game, but having fun!

Got all the game-play elements down, all I have left is polish, menus and sfx.
It's a split screen thing. The guy on the left screen is STANDING ON the tiny world in the right screen. Hence why it shakes whenever the world gets tossed into a wall.
Gonna go for a run, then make the graphics. :)

Just working on getting a random mining system implemented... Soon you will be able to upgrade your tools and find much more valuable resources. The game is getting there slowly! :D
I have my coffee. I am ready. Bring on the final day!
Our hero now can jump, die and make himself a prostate massage
I had no plans to enter Ludum Dare 38. This weekend was a terrible weekend for me in terms of other commitments, etc. And yet, when I heard the theme, I couldn't get the image of snow globes and terrariums out of my head, so I made A Tiny Globe.
It's an experimental, artsy game, and it's now available here: https://alaynamcole.itch.io/a-tiny-globe
I will upload it to the LD38 page just as soon as it's possible to publish our game posts here!
I hope you're all having a marvellous LD38 so far. All the best.

here a Sneak Peak

The spawners work though and so far I have infinite waves of increasing difficulty!
Let's play!
Hello, I finish my game for the 48 hour Compo, i created the account and the game profile with links to source code and a link to the play page, but i cant see the publish button. It says Unpublished Draft.
Do i have to wait until last hour of the combo ? Do i publish it here, like a blog post? Thanks.
