LD 38 April 21–24, 2017

Oh hey, I'm in too!

Well, if we can make "I'm in" posts here...

Here comes my 8th Ludum Dare! The standard toolchain applies:

  • Unity for game engine
  • Visual Studio for coding
  • Photoshop for pictures
  • ChipTone for sound fx
  • Reaper and some sweet iOS synths for music

Well, time's a wasting - gotta eat some foodstuffs and prepare myself for the theme reveal.

LDJAM: The Return

Second Jam for me, @juri, @dregs and @agee1981. Our first game wasn't a show stopper but it was a good, fun experience. Heres to progress! :nerd:

Tools:

Unity, Visual Studio, Craig's Kettle, Monkey Wrench, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Craig's Kettle

quick nap

going to do this!! after a little nap

Once again, I'm in... =)

Well, following the rules, here is my I'm in post. This time I will try to create a 3d game, not sure if it will work. If I suceed, at least will be less buggy than my previous 2d attempts.

I plan to use: - Unity - Visual Studio - MagicaVoxel + VoxelToUnity plugin + Mixamo (not sure about it) - Pyxel Edit - http://www.fakemusicgenerator.com/ - http://www.bfxr.net/

Good luck all!!!

We're In

Getting the team rounded up @squabbler and @butters3 have joined, our first LD. Good luck

YEA lets DO THIS!

Making this solo. Maybe game maker, maybe rpg maker, who knows??! Ill be streaming at https://www.twitch.tv/frankiepixelshow , will start the stream in maybe 30 minutes or something?!

V. excited. This will be maybe my fifth ludum dare now?

Sup. I'm in. I'm compo.

It's been much too long since the last LD I participated in.

Will be working with Unity, Blender (2.49 because I prefer the wacky old interface), Photoshop, and FL Studio.

I haven't preemptively thought of any ideas, instead clearing my head and making practice content that I won't be using.

Let's do this!

Rip.

Guess I'm in aswell. What have I done... (First time btw c:)

I'm in as well!

Well, here we go. First Ludum Dare fast approaching. I'm a largely self-taught developer, but I started a Unity course, and am part-way through that. I'm hoping to do fairly well over this weekend -- it will be unlike anything I have ever tried before.

Of course, being mid-way through the course means my knowledge of Unity isn't as well-rounded as it could be, and I'll be looking things up a bit, I imagine... that's going to eat into development time, unfortunately.

Still going to do my absolute best, though.

Another one in!

Hey guys and gals!

Hope you all have a great time in this Ludum Dare! Not my first game jam but it is my first LD attempt. Will try to go for the Compo and if I'm feeling extremely brave I'll even attempt Compo and Jam with the remaining 24h! But that probably won't happen :stuckouttongue:

Anyway, happy gamedev and have fun!

I'm in!

I'm in for my third Ludum Dare! Hoping to make some kind of strategy/tile-placing game (theme better not suck!)

Will be live-streaming at http://twitch.tv/myko82

Tools will be Unity, Blender, Photoshop, Visual Studio 2017, and something or other for sounds.

See you there and good luck to everyone who participates! :smiley_cat:

I'm in!

I'm a little scared, because it's my first time at LD.

I'll be (probably) using Löve2D for programming, Paint.NET/Pyxel Edit for art, BFXR for sound effects and Bosca Ceoil for music.

Good luck everyone!

Wheeeeee

Gonna stream the making of 這樣太危險 (Zheyang Tai Weixian) in pygame on Twitch; https://www.twitch.tv/munchluxe63

Back in!

We've attended a couple of Ludum Dare in the pasts, many having failed, some being more successful. In any case we're back and this time we'll be trying out Löve! See you later!

Let's do it!

I will do this even if game becomes a party of dancing pixels running in circle. Good luck everyone.

P.S. Will use my Dlang engine code for this.

I'm in - console style

I will be making a console game this time. Though not out of nostalgia since I've never really played any old school text adventures. The reason is that I, for the most time, enjoy working with Linux shells and I am interested how would it translate to a game.

I will be using framework I have written beforehand https://github.com/VHonzik/gash and I will most likely polish and release it after LD is done. It's based on .NET Core, cross platform implementation of .NET, so that will be exciting to try out. Oh and I will be writing in C# with Visual studio and I don't plan on doing any graphics or sounds. I know, what a cheap-ass, right?

Good luck to everyone!

I'm In!

May the coffee be with u

I'm in.

LÖVE2D, Notepad++, Piskel, sfxr, Audacity, SunVox. I have submitted a game for the first time in the last LD, but I'm still nervous. I hope I'll be able to do it again.
