For the first time, I'm here too. I'm going to use Unity & Blender ... Good luck to everyone!
For the first time, I'm here too. I'm going to use Unity & Blender ... Good luck to everyone!
This is my second Ludum Dare and I skipped the last one. Hope for best.
Programs I'll be using.
Unity (Game Engine)
Photoshop (2D Art)
Blender or MagicaVoxel (3D Art)
ADX2 or Bosca Ceoil (Sound)
First jam!
I'm in for my first LD...
Planning on Unity WebGL & C#
Pinta or something bad for the art?
No idea what to use for music.
Also have no idea when the theme releases, is it just immediately when the LD starts?
Ho ho hooo,
For the third time in a row I'll be joining you all in this awesome experience that is ludum dare!
But this time will be a real challenge for me, I'll try it alone ^^ As it's December, most of my usual conspirators are either working as elves for Santa, either getting ready to eat so much during the end of year holidays that they will explode.
Anyhow, as usual, I took a week off work for this event and will be happily streaming after the jam all of your games while chatting with you. Where, did you ask? On twitch of course! Follow me here on https://www.twitch.tv/togislp or http://twitter.com/togisLp if you wish to get notified.
Good luck and have fun everyone!
This is my first game jam and I'll be attempting it along with @bubmet. We'll be using: love2d as the engine, and paint.NET for art.
I'm back for my 3rd Jam and I'm bringin' along a first timer friend of mine, @Lycanious. We're very excited and think it's going to be a lot of fun. Some good themes have made it into the final round and personally, I'm excited to see which one wins out. My buddy and I did a fun brainstorming exercise last night where we went through all of the themes that made it into the final round and came up with 1 or 2 solid ideas for each of them.
It ended up being super fun and by the time we were done, our sides hurt from laughing so much at the ridiculous ideas we came up with. We're very eager to get started, and can't wait for that countdown to hit 0. We wish everyone the best of luck!
Tech Stack: - Unity - VS 2017 - C# - Blender - Photoshop - Audacity - and a little FL Studio

Hi there,
we (@nivbeth and @fis) will attend to ludum dare for the first time.
The tools of our choice will be: ~ illustrator ~ photoshop ~ libgdx ~ android studio ~ blender
Lets make awesome games!
Hi! I wanted to know how can you delete an Unpublished game, cause I wanted to participate to Ludum Dare as a team, and it seems that I can't be added to the team now. Thanks in advance.
I'm tired of just making parts of strangers games, so I'll give it a try to complete a game from scratch alone.
I'll be using Unity, Blender, Gimp and bfxr.
Our 3 man team at Technomancy is excited to be participating in Ludum Dare #40 this weekend!
Earlier this week we released a redux of one of our first games ever made,
Super Pocket Drillionaire on Android Devices.
Check it out for free if you like and happy jamming!
Hello everyone, it's my first time participating after watching countless livestreams other people participating.
I will be using Html, css and javascript with libraries for my game with Sublime Text and Paint.NEt or GiMP 2 for the art.
Just to see if I understand this correctly, now that I can post all I have to do is wait for the theme to be announced and I can start programming right? And once the time is out, once the time is up, I just update the 'My Game' page with the details and the links to my hosting?
Thank you for the help. And I wish everyone good luck, let's have fun and make amazing games :D
I just realized that I'll be airbourne when the LD Jam starts, I'm flying out of Newark back to Berlin tomorrow night. Anyone else airbourne this weekend? This will technically cost me 6 hours since I'll be flying into the future.
So far I've participated in LD38 and LD39, but I couldn't finish the game in any of them. Since I'll probably don't have a lot of time this weekend, I guess I'll be making a little something in Twine; at least to finish something this time :)
We (@kaisor-meridian , @thanksforcallingatthowmaywehelp , and me) will be participating in Ludum Dare 40 and we're super pumped. This will be our first game jam and first game as a group.
We're going to be using GameMaker Studio 1.4 Pro, Piskel, FamiTracker, and GarageBand.
Again, we're super excited and we wish everyone good luck!
This will be my first time entering. I have watched for many of years. I have never created my own game. I have dabbled a little, and walkthough many tutorials. I know it will be challenging, but much fun.
Have fun everyone!!
Unity or Gml Aseprite bfxr
After my earlier blog post where I showed three of my pre-LD40 warmups, I went back to create a sequel to warmup #1, resulting a the little text adventure/RPG(lite) I named...

I feel the need to stress that I am not a programmer; this warmup felt like a complete game jam by itself. I made this in Twine 2 using the Harlowe story format.

I assure you, there will be considerably more graphics in our actual LD40 game. :grinning: I assume this will be my last pre-LD40 blog post here, so I want to wish you all good luck, minimum sleepiness and maximum inspiration.

After lurking (and playing) for a long time, I'm finally suiting up. Best of luck everyone!
