This is going to be my first Ludum Dare and i'm really looking forward to it! Good luck everyone!
Hi guys, I finally did it after 7 months of hard work! 😄
Do you remember Plug Me? It ranked 4th at Ludum Dare #39 "Running out of Power".
The game now features 50+ levels with 6 bosses! I’ve tried to put into it all your feedbacks from the last jam in order to create something that could be less frustrating and more enjoyable for everyone.

And at the end I would like to thanks Ludum Dare, because it’s a nice community and the whole idea of this jam site is just amazing! Have a good day guys and keep up the good work! :)
I've just realised that in 15 days starts de 41th Ludum Dare and I'm totally in. It's going to be my second one, and I really hope to have even more fun than int the first one, find amazing new games and keep learning about gamedev. See you all on April 20th!
Hey All!
Well I thought I would drop the line out there again and ask. I'm looking for somewhere (not at home) to do Ludum Dare 41. I've seen for the last couple of LD events that there's generally a couple of gatherings where people come together to code for the weekend. If you know about one of these running in the London/Greater London area, can you drop me a link?
Please and thank you :)
Let's try and get a great theme this time… Ha, who am I kidding :) Good luck everyone.
I have not participated in the last 2 LDs, so it's time to finally get back in!
Have fun and good luck everyone!
Hi, this will be my 18th ludumdare in a row. xD i started at LD24, and am still here :-). I'll be using these this time:
IDE: Visual Studio 2017 Community - Microsoft
Engine: Otter2d - kyle pulver
Graphics: aseprite/paint.net -david capello/Rick Brewster tiled - Thorbjørn Lindeijer ui lib - myself
Sound: audacity - Dominic Mazzoni and Roger Dannenberg
Music: Musagi - Tomas Pettersson
Timelapse: Chronolapse - keeyai
because I can and why not :P. I couln't find the theme voting section in the site
The first proper ludum dare that I will be taking part in, I will either use Unity + Visual Studio or SFML to complete the challenge!
I'll join the Ludum Dare 41 compo, and will be hosting a real-world gathering at Resolution Games in Stockholm. If you're interested in joining, please e-mail me at martin at the company's domain (which is resolutiongames.com).
Tools I'm likely to use:
Unity as engine. Visual Studio for writing the C# code.
Pen and paper for drawing graphics. The scanner at the office to digitize it (if it works by then). GIMP for editing it.
Blender for 3D editing.
Zoom H2n for recording sound effects. Audacity for editing it.
FL Studio or Caustic 2 for the music, and possibly a guitar.
Most of this will be done on a desktop Windows machine. Maybe I'll use my laptop that runs Linux Mint as well, who knows?
Going to be working with the following tools this time around:
Godot Engine - https://godotengine.org/
Bosca Ceoil for music - https://boscaceoil.net/
Aseprite for pixel art - https://www.aseprite.org/
Blender for 3D art - https://www.blender.org/
Last Time I couldn't participate in the compo because my parents decided to visit for my birthday, which was nice and a bit surprising since I live in Canada and they live in Peru (long story). But now, There is nothing to stop me from doing this! It's been a while since I did an LD, and I don't think I have any games posted in the new website so this should be exiting.
Anyways, good luck to all jammers and I'm exited to play (and make) some weird stuff with you all!
Decided to attempt LD41. I skipped out on LD40 because I didn't like the theme.
I'm going to be trying out Java with LibGDX. So, something 2D and basic more than likely.
Anyone that has worked with Libgdx or knows some good tutorial please let me know. I will be learning it these next two weeks and hopefully know enough to complete the jam.
I haven't done a solo LD in 2 years, but this one is gonna be the one. For some reason I feel nostalgic, happy and inspired all at the same time.
This is my first time participating in Ludum Dare. Tool choice was difficult to make but once I discovered LÖVE I was hooked. Here be my tools:
Most of the above I learned about by reading posts here ― thanks for your comments everyone and good luck!
I'm definitely in for this LD! Going to be using twine for the game, might use c++ or java though depending on the theme. I'm also going to be using Bosca Ceoil for any sounds that you'll hear. Good luck, and have fun my fellow game developers!
I'm gonna be using the same tools as i did previously: -Unity -GIMP -Blender -FL Studio
It's gonna be my sixth Ludum Dare in a row. I just love this competition too much!
Unless Lumbergh asks me to work that weekend, I'm officially plan free!
Most likely will be using Unity with C# for the game. Could be compo but honestly I liked the last one where I did the jam and was able to take my time a bit.
Unfortunately, I might not have time for LD41, I have plans with my girlfriend so LD41 might be a miss for me!
I hope I'll have time but if not I'll be here to play submissions as usual! Good luck everyone! :D
