Im in!
Hello, this will be my second time in the Ludum Dare since LD31. Last time I couldn't complete my game because of Uni exams and I couldn't take a part in others LD due personal problems (mainly my health problems and later my father cancer treatment) but I am back. :D
My tools: Engine: TIC-80 https://tic.computer Language: Lua
Good luck to everyone!
Regards Lollygag
For LD43, we can look forward to the selected theme definitely being "-1".
Good luck all! I already have a great idea of the type of game I want to build, which is definitely not even remotely feasible within the 48hr timeframe. Looking forward to throwing it out the window and coding shit-tier C# for 2 days straight while trying to release literally anything that will do me the favour of compiling.
Well only my second time participating, but Im making games for about 4 years now so I will put my best into this one. If anybody is from czech republic, I wish you good luck, because the temperature outside will be challenge itself :D
This is gonna be my 8th Ludum Dare but for the first time I won't have the 48/72 hours to make the game ... gonna focus on something more simple I can accomplish in 24 hours ...
Tools: Audacity Visual Studio 2017 Unity Paint.NET
using game maker 2 and aseprite. psyched for another jam!!
Here we go people, good luck to all! Participated before but something always came up that led to me not finishing. I cleared my schedule completely and told loved ones I'll be unreachable 😂. T minus 1hr 20 minutes!
I have a relatively free weekend, maybe I will join, it will depend on the theme. If I'm gonna join I'm going to do my game in Godot
I guess I'm going in for number 3! The change in start time is a big unfortunate cause I'm still working when it starts but it shouldn't be the end of the world. Not a huge fan of the theme selection but there are some workable ones in there. My previous two games were met with a fairly lukewarm reception so I'm really going to focus on the fun factor this time around. Good luck to all of the competitors, I look forward to playing some games!
This time we won't have much time at all as we have many external rl things to do we can't pass.
We wish everyone a great LD42!
Let's get ready for a new Ludum Dare !
I'm in for the 4th time in a row, slowly flowing into the ranking's underworld. I hope I'll have a better game to show this time. I'll try for the first time using Unity in 2D because I'm still pretty lost with 3D stuff atm. I haven't practiced a lot since last LD but I think I'm still alright. The aim is to participate and learn isn't it ?!
Wish y'all a nice Jam
I’m Olivier from France and it’s a premier for me. I don’t have a big experience on game coding but I hope I can present something in 48h !
I gonna use C language with Code::Blocks for IDE SDL2 SDL_mixer Pyxel Edit (for 2d sprites)
Maybe DefleMask (sound tracker) if i have time, Cubabe, a guitar and a bass.
My body and my fridge are ready !
Excited to participate in this LD.
I'm in.

We are joining this LudumDare by our very new studio. We are not really sure how much we will do! But don't forget
"FORTIS FORTUNA ADIUVAT"
We are a good team so lady luck will help us.
Mehmet Furkan Ogun Emre Gündoğdu Emre Uçan Also maybe Pamir...
We will see.
Unlike others, we're not ready at all. Marie-Lou got the biggest desk, which makes Amaury jealous. I've yet to watch Unity tutorials and I'm currently triyng to get Git working because no one will do it. Also Pamoy keeps saying "hey, only 1h 17m 12s left".
This is gonna be great... ~Nils
Hello, I am the Tophat Demon. You may (not) know me as the creator of the game where you feed souls to a demon cat, the game where Thomas the Tank Engine runs over a bunch of people, and DooM with furries. I have entered Ludum Dares intermittently throughout all my game development debauchery, and I am going to enter the compo today.
(These may change depending on my idea) Language: Javascript / WebGL IDE: Visual Studio Code Audio: BFXR / Renoise Art: Aseprite / Blender
This will be the first Ludum Dare in which I will attempt to make a timelapse. Ooh. I also want to experiment with some raytracing/raycasting technology. I made a prototype earlier of a raytraced 3D floor that used Javascript's ImageData construct to set each pixel individually. This ran reasonably fast on every browser except for Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer (go figure). Thus, I believe that it may run faster if I use WebGL to render a textured quad on screen and modify the texture every frame to achieve a similar effect, since part of the work will be done on the graphics card. I should have tested this earlier, but oh well.
May you all have merry times.
