How's everyone doing?
How's everyone doing?
Hey ! I'm Bro404 and I'll be joining this Ludum Dare's edition with my friend Freetomax ! We'll be using Gamemaker Studio 2, LMMS and Photoshop to achieve what should be a great game ! Good luck to everyone !
Greetings!
This weekend I might or might not participate in my first LD. I suppose it'll depend on the theme and my level of inspiration. I have a few ideas in stock, though!
For programming I will be using one of (TBD): A) Unity/C# B) JS/Vanilla(CreateJS media library, no engine) C) PyGame
For graphics: PhotoShop/Pyxel Edit if pixel art
For sounds: Audacity/??
I have very low expectations of my own performance here, but hopefully it'll be fun and I hope you all have fun too :)
I suppose. Massive team with a whopping two (2) members. Monogame/Aseprite/Bfxr.
Good luck to everyone else!
Going lone wolf again! :3
I like the themes this time! Uh oh.... is that a bad sign?
TOOLS:
Unity,
Visual Studio,
Notepad++,
Aseprite ( <--- nervous about this one, haven't had time to mess with it too much),
Mouth Sounds?,
Too much Coffee
I've arrived just in time, ready to participate in my first game jam. I'm most looking forward to, hopefully, creating my first game from start to finish without just leaving it for 2 odd years and forgetting about it.
Wish me luck.
Update Windows if you haven't already so you don't get disrupted during the jam.
DotBitGames is a newly formed indie team, currently working on our first game (which you can learn about in more detail here https://gamejolt.com/games/spycatgame/270920). While our programmer joined the last Ludum Dare on his own (it, uh... didn't work out that well), this time we decided to join as an actual team. Here is a list of everyone from our team that will participate in today's LD, and what they will do:
It's our first LD as the team so the game may not be the best, but make sure to check our project out when its done, constructive criticism is always appreciated!
Ready for this!! This is my first time with a team for a jam, so I'm excited and confident it will go very well considering I don't have to handle EVERY aspect!! Good luck everybody!! <3
Can't wait to start!
Here I am again for my 7th LD with this time the desire to change language. I'm going from Java to C++.
This time I will use:
code : Visual Studio 2017 Community Edition with SFML Library
gfx : Photoshop
sfx : Bfxr, Audacity, LMMS and Beepbox or Bosca Ceoil
Coffee, Tea for my personnal engine :).
I probably use my toolbox of sample codes. If anyone would see exemples, you can go to my github repository :
https://github.com/Afendar/GameBase
Github for deposit and share the final game ( If I have final prototype ! xd )
I will be live tweets and live post facebook for achievements during the event.
And you can follow work again on my twitch channel on https://www.twitch.tv/afendar.
Good luck to all dares and enjoy ourselves :)

Can't wait!So excited for LD 42!
LET'S GO!
Hello everyone, hope you all create, improve, grow as game developer. And the most important: be creative.
I was not aware there was a Ludum dare today, but i realised i was free this weekend for some reason and thought why not?
Good luck everyone.
Everyone is just spamming blog posts right now XD!
A little nervous for this! Hope it will go well. Have a lot of conflicting events though with work and all so I'll have to manage my time well.
This is my first Ludum Dare and I am hoping that I am able to create a game in the given timeframe. I will not be using premade assets, and I will make everything myself, no matter how terrible my art is
