LD 42 August 10–13, 2018

very anxious

Hello, I'm a simple aspiring game developer. I left the college of digital games because I felt that it was sucking my natural creativity. I never participated in a Jam for not believing that I possessed the technical knowledge to do so until I discovered recently doing a work and finding out that I was able to perform. And now I'm going to participate in this Jam to challenge myself and test my knowledge.

my development tools: all open source

SOON

Yaaaay, LD excitement we are in! Basically me below V jsladeLD42.jpg

AHHH IT'S NEARLY HERE

It's so surreal actually being awake during the theme announcement. I can't wait for 23:59 to roll around when I'll start aggressively refreshing my Twitter feed. 30 minutes thinking time and then to a 6:30hr rest. I hope this 2 (3?) hour change stays. My God I'm just so hyped I'm trying to contain my excitement through YouTube. It's not working. Help!

My First LD

Good Luck everyone who begin their first LD here (like me) :)

I'm in!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone

Newbie first timer question

How and where do we choose to go for the Jam VS the Compo?

Does that come later?

Cheers.

Terminal-style webpage for text-based games

https://github.com/AlanLynn/Web-Terminal

This is a cleaned up version of the HTML/CSS/JavaScript I used for my text-based game in Ludum Dare 41.

I'm posting this in advance because it's unclear whether the current rules require you to declare base code ahead of time.

Plus, the code is open source, so feel free to give it a try.

Good luck, everyone!

We're in!

We'll be using Unity and C#, Blender for 3D art and Photoshop/Illustrator for UI/2D stuff. I'll stream on my twitch channel as well so you can follow me there. GLHF everyone!

Good Luck People :)

This is my very first time here.

Also i'll use PixiJs for the first time. My toolkit is: PixiJs + Paint.Net + Gimp. VSCode as editor and will use TypeScript to write code.

What is your toolkit?

in for 42

Gonna use godot, aseprite, and blender - or just TIC-80 depending on the theme. Have fun everyone!

I'm in!

Hey everyone, I'm in, I'm going to use UE4 and if time allows, FL Studio and Blender. Good luck to everyone, let's all do our best!

So, I guess I'm in. What's my toolset you ask?

And possibly (if I have time):

Best of luck to everyone in their endeavors. I look forward to playing some excellent games and maybe even my own .

First Ludum Dare!

Good luck to everybody! This is my first time participating in Ludum dare, but I've made games in the past.
