So exited for my first jam!!!
One and a half hours to go. Good luck everyone.
First time, best of luck and happy hacking everybody!
T minus less than two hours and I finally got eclipse installed on my desktop. With technical skills like these I may have an RGB triangle on screen within the first 36 hours! Let the gripes -er, games? BEGIN!
I'm doing this because everyone else seems to and the registration instructions aren't clear.
Looks like I'm in. Mostly likely going to use Godot as the engine, not sure about graphics or sound yet.
I got my workspace all set up and only an hour and a half remaining :astonished:

not really

Well, to be fair, I tried to create a game for LD41, but I wasn't experienced enough so I failed. Hopefully this time is different! :D
Just moved into a new place for my final year at uni (Studying Games Programming) and I don't have any internet yet. To be honest there's not a better time to do a Game Jam as it will give me something to do all weekend :D
So good luck to all of you also taking part and lets pray to the theme gods for good ideas...
This will be my 13th time participating in Ludum Dare on my 5th year of participating in the Compo.
I've decided to do away with the concept of picking my tools, platform, frameworks, and engines ahead of time to explicitly leave all options on the table, including doing a board game :P.
In the past I have mostly used C# with MonoGame in Visual Studio. Paint.Net, GIMP, and paint for graphics. Bosca Ceoil, SFXR, and Audacity for audio. There is a good chance I will go down this route again, but who knows?
I have a hodgepodge of engine/framework code in my GiThub account (https://github.com/srakowski). In compliance with the rules feel free to use anything you might find of interest.
I am fairly excited about the new start time! I am interested to see how it affect what I am able to do. Usually Friday night ends up a throw away as I become too tired too quickly. This time shift may make this night more useful. I am also worried that it removes 3 hours from the end, the time everything usually comes together (if it is going to). It is also nice that I don't need to rush through submission hour to catch The Walking Dead!
I wish everyone good luck and a happy jam. Cheers!
My buddy Charles and I are gonna jam. Good luck, safe jamming all.
Gonna use Unity3d, Aritmech, Blender, Fragmotion, GIMP, Audacity, and Renoise. My only other time was under a different login using the Irrlicht game engine.
Artimech is an open source visual scripting system that I wrote that creates C# finite state machines. https://github.com/Scramasax/Artimech
Today is @frozenfire92 s birthday! Happy birthday :cake: What a great present -- being able to work on Ludum Dare :P
Good luck everyone!
3 young and wild frenchies will try their first ludum dare!

We're on for a story-based game (probably with Ren'Py or RPG Maker), but hey, if we got a great idea for gameplay, we'll do it anyway!
