Progress!
Been meaning to share this for a while, just been finding tons of bugs in my code. Some art is placeholder.

The correct way to get the passengers out: Match 3 passengers' heads in a row.

At least we have a logo for our game:

Never been so hard before now

Woke up a little bit fuzzy this morning.
Then I remember it's #Ludumdare 42 this weekend ;)
Let's continue to #gamedev this #ldjam :D on Twitch !

Idea : Ressources Management + Puzzle game with a little touch of JRPG
I am not 100% happy with how it is turning out so far, but it is definitely something I can work with. I have (technically) playable prototype ready, and many ideas too. There will be upgrades of your truck, many more shapes, more interesting maps. Right now, it is just a proof of concept. And it turned out alright. I definitely have a vision, which is a good sign in this stage.
I wanted to be in this stage 3 hours ago, I am running rate already. I however was good on time during other LDs and there are very few (pleasant) interruptions like a Korean restaurant with family, so I am feeling quite good with time.

Also, my vegetable flat cakes are delicious. It feels good to eat healthy for a change.
it's getting quite crowded on this boat... 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔

Okay, I'm gonna make a game around the mechanic of a window shrinking down.
But what the heck, I cant keep the ratio still :/

Just a small test for the shop system. You'll have to find the warp point in every level before the black hole spawns.

And when you add building, you have even less space.

While @goffmog does the work of actually creating a game, which we've decided is best described as 'Reigns except in space with cosmic terrors and resource management,' I'm busy writing out the associated text, pondering how provisions should operate in this setting, and [redacted] [redacted] [redacted because they're not quite coherent thoughts yet.]
Also, have a puppy:

Of the many interstellar tribulations you had anticipated facing, this was not one of them. An alien lifeform has taken over your ship, and it is a thing of seething villi and grinning mouths, its buzzsaw whispering growing louder with every room and crewmate that it devours.
Save yourself.
Save your colleagues.
Most importantly, save the cute animals.
The map pretty much done except for the dirt area. All interiors are filled. And since we didn't talk about our idea here's a little sneak peek. You are a man stranded in a cold place where blizzards occur often, you collect supplies to survive and the blizzard slowly closes in on your shelter. There are predators like wolfs and bears, items to defend and such.
Exterior
Interiors
We hope we can finish this, since we can't work sunday. We do laugh a lot, so it's definitly a win!

Just finalize the game idea. Nothing to show yet.
My game idea is a fighting game, to win, you have to push opponent to edge of the stage/level.
Starting to work now. Hopeful have something to show in a few hours.

The blue thing is "hero" who walks around and collects "treasures" and throws them in backpack. Player must arrange treasures in lines/match3 fasion to remove them from backpack. If backpack will become full hero will become upset and stop his journey.
So far only collection and matching implemented.

After struggling with my first concept of a game about space and moving between planets, I have had some success with my second idea which is a game about moving between circles before the circle disappears.
Here's an image of the game's design:
You hyped?!?! I'm using Construct 3, and the game will have an 8bit style. Wish me luck >_
I'm also streaming which you can check out at: https://www.twitch.tv/passmegames
