Good Psot

My first time !

As a first timer i am pumped to be joining this , i want to test my gaming skills even though i suck at drawings, that’s why i’l try a pixel type of art.

I will be using Unity with C# , Audacity and Pyxel Edit, maybe some other software to make the soundtrack.

Good luck to everybody and lets  have fun!

I’m in for the Jam

Hello! I’m planning on joining in on the jam. This is my first time trying LudumDare for myself so we’ll see how it goes.

I’ll be making it in Java using libGDX for the programming.

For sound, I’ll use sfxr/bfxr.

For music, I’m hoping to make it myself using musagi. Yet, if that fails I will use some music from Kevin MacLeod.

Graphics/art I’ll make with paint.net.

Question on compo rules.

Would using Subtances from the substance painter built in library or from something like substance share be considered 3’rd party assets (and therefore off limits) if they are used in Substance Painter to create textures?  Or would they count as remixed assets which are OK?

I’m in for LD37! Let the Theme’s roll

I’ll be using theses technologies, again!

IDE:

VS2013Community

ENGINE:

Otter2d made by Kyle Pulver

http://otter2d.com/

Kyle has a great stream here as well:

https://www.twitch.tv/kpulv

SOUNDS:

Audacity and me making stuff up on the fly. Hee Hee.

TILE EDITOR:

Tiled with tiledsharp

Special thanks to @Floatvoid for helping me set it up.

UI:

A frontend lib made by me for displaying text and chars. Otherwise otter’s built-in text.

TIMELAPSE:

Chronolapse by Keeyai.

GRAPHICS:

Paint.net and Aesprite!

MUSIC:

Musagi

I’m looking forward to a great ludumdare!!

Fruit juices, snacks, music, and fun.

I’m in again

I’m in for my 11th Ludum Dare!

Here is a recap of my last few Ludum Dares:

LD36: Pharoh Kefmeh

This was a web-based pyramid building game my brother RadioLemon and I made with WebGL.

LD35: The Mysterious ShapeShifter

title

A game with unique controls and gameplay following the journey of people trying to get through a cave with the help of a mysterious creature. This was a ton of fun to design.

LD34: Tree Monster Simulator

screenshot5

Play through the different stages of growth of a tree monster. Not my best work, but I finished it!

LD33: Morrzone Fling

title

A game where you have to fling a baby harpy seal. This was my first game utilizing GameJolt’s online scoreboard feature.

I have been participating since LD26. Looking at my older submissions, I think I’m going to put more effort into polish this time around. I learn something new every time, so I am excited to see how LD37 will go for me.

Tools:

Unity?

Java?

Paint.NET as always

Sound: Who knows

tl;dr: I’m in

I’m in and modern libgdx tutorial needed

I’m in!

Planning to use libgdx, which I’ve never really looked at before even though I know java.

Any suggestions on where to find a good tutorial in preparation for LD37 would be greatly appreciated!

Gimp for art and that one sound tool that everyone uses.

I’ve got a lot of preparation for this LD…

Thanks!

I’m in++;

Howdy! Really excited about the upcoming LD37 and the new site.  I’ve managed to submit 12 entries to LD so far; so this could be lucky number 13 if all goes well.

Here’s what I will be using.

  • Language: Java
  • Game Framework: Katsu (my personal 2D tile-based game framework based on LibGDX)
  • Level editing: Tiled
  • GFX: The GIMP / Photoshop
  • SFX/Music: Ableton Live, OpenMPT, Audacity

Let’s do this! Looking forward to playing some cool entries.

I’m in!

Yayy!

I’m gonna be in for my second Ludum Dare! I had a lot of fun last time (creating the game “Gregos’ Journey”), and I’m looking forward to participating and creating another awesome game!

I think this time I’m going to participate for the compo version, but I’m not really sure about that… I guess that I’ll decide later about that.

Tools I’m going to use?

  • Game engine – Unity3D, certainly. If I don’t use Unity, I might go on a plain JS game, just for the challenge.
  • Language – C# or Javascript – not UnityScript, but if I make a plain JS game I might consider using JS 😉
  • Textures? Powerpoint, my hand and a pencil probably (will decide ’bout that later, too)
  • Models – Sketchup (if I make a 3d game)
  • Sounds – audacity and Synthesia, I guess. Maybe my piano also…

Looking for a partner?

I’m the programmer guy of the team. If I participate in the Jam, I might want to work with a sound composer or an artist that can make textuers, but if I go with the compo, well, nope 😛

Good luck to everyone who joins, and looking forward to 09/12!

i accidentally downvoted cats are everywhere so now im a bad person

oh btw im in with gamemaker and some other things

Hello!) It will be my first ludumdare)

This tools, which i will use for making game:

-pyglet(OpenGL for python)

-Fl Studio(for sounds)

-Photoshop

I’m In!

I’m in! This will be my second time participating in Ludum Dare. The first time I didn’t finish. I have done a lot more game dev since then and I feel a lot more comfortable with the tools. This time I’m hoping to finish something neat!

Tools

  • Photoshop
  • Aseprite
  • Bfxr
  • Bosca Ceoil
  • Unity

I’m looking forward to seeing all the creativity that comes out of this event!

I’m in

4th time. It’s been a year since my first LD, the time really flies by.

I am not very proud of my last LD and I am really motivated to make up for that this time. I will work more on time management throughout the weekend and make sure the concept I will implement is good before wasting 10 hours on it.

I will try to keep it simple this time, but really work on the gameplay. I would love to finally make some rts perhaps. But who knows.

Tools:
JavaScript + html5 + css
Notepad++
Chrome
Audacity
SFXR
Maybe Bosca Ceoil if I want to make music
Gimp
Some auto screenshot thing + Virtualdub + windows movie maker

I was born ready for this one.

I’m in!

Hi everyone!

this is my first LD so please wish me luck and be nice 😀

I finished my college this year. I recently started to work as  a software developer not in game industry, but still got an interest in game development.

Very excited.

Gonna use:
Unity3D, VisualStudio, PainNET, maybe also GIMP 2, Audacity

Still not sure which audio creation tool to use, any suggestions?

I’m In!

With one other person.  Using:

-I don’t want to spoil the fun.

I’m in!

This is going to be my first ludum dare, it’ll sure be fun!

This will be my first LD I think.

I’m in. This will be my first LD.

I’m In!

Well, I’m in for this LD! I couldn’t participate last Ludum Dare, so  much time since I finished a game… (About half a year)

Tools:

· Allegro: This LD will be a challenge. Instead of using an engine or framework I will write my game on top of a drawing library.

I have experience with SFML but will use Allegro, i believe it will be better for fast coding as it’s not very object oriented, unlike SFML.

· C++: The programming language I will be using. I will try to keep away from making very objective C++ as it can grow very complex.

· Visual Studio 2015 : Will be using it to code 😛

· GIMP : Sprite Making / Sketches

· FLStudio : Music!

Good luck everybody :)

I think Java is better (because it’s faster to develop) when it comes to competitions.

Ludum Dare 37? Sure I’m in!

HEY! I just wanted to say ‘HELLO to everyone!’ I just created an account and I am preparing for the thirty-seventh edition of Ludum Dare!

In short: I'm in!
