Progress!
The end of day one is approaching fast. Luckily, i’m almost finished with Area 1!

Every good RPG needs slimes.

Also, standing by the lava drains health.

I decided to open a bar for lumberjacks. Coffee and cupcakes included.
Hello everybody,
I work on my game for fiftheen hours.
You ar an evil wizard who defend his dungeon against many adventurers and other soldiers who come to beat you.

Night fever, night feveeeeer… We know how-to-dooo it!
Imagine you’re a dwarf, and you’re in desperate need for your daily beer. Now imagine the only place miles around where you can get your fix is a strange tavern where elves dance to even stranger music. Imagine the only way to get that sweet sweet beer is to go past those disgusting drunk elves, to avoid the orc bouncers and find your way to the VIP Room.
Do you know what happens next? Mayhem!
The One Room Club is a blend of card & rhythm game, where your dwarves will have to progress through a tavern dancefloor to reach the VIP room. Day after day, security will be made tougher to prevent you from reaching your goal. Use your wits and fight your way through the place, to get the well-deserved reward
This first day went by quite smoothly, with the core gameplay code mostly working. Things are still pretty ugly and rough on the edges, but hopefully we should be able to run a level from start to end before we sleep. On the art side we already have a good part of the character design done, and a pretty good idea of the direction we want to take! Since the core gameplay is not too complicated, we plan to spend more time than usual polishing the experience and making things fun!

Character design
We’re a team of 4 this time, including two Ludum Dare veterans (Wan & Manu, both coders/game designers), an artist/game designer (Prohibé) & a composer (Kay Lo). Some previous entries from the team:

Robot Forest (by Manu/Prohibé/Kay Lo)

Minotaur (by Manu/Wan/Jack)

Corponnected Ltd. (by Manu & Wan)
Got so much done, but I chose a very ambitious game idea…
Basically, one room is lit and you can change that in a control room, you can only do stuff in rooms with light (eg. fix the engine of the ship), but action also happens in the dark!

Hi all,
For our first Ludum Dare entry, we are centering our gameplay around a certain famous artist and bongoplayer. Can you guess who she is?

Eighteen hours in (minus some sleep), and here is my cave shooter, tentatively titled “Bat Cave”.
Shoot the drips to prevent stalagmites from forming. Avoid the bats.
Things I still have to do:
I decided to go with a gun turret as the player. I tried to create an animated person running around, but it didn’t work out. I stink at creating graphics, and was spending a lot of time on it.
This is my first dare, not sure yet if I’m going to enter as compo or jam. I was planning jam, but I haven’t actually used any outside/preexisting stuff yet and my concept is pretty simple, so we’ll see…
Here’s my rough layout so far, you can probably guess what the game is about.
I’m trying to give it a cramped feeling, think I’ve succeeded?

This is my first LD, and first time when I draw animations for game
(“Can I leave ?” – is name of the game

Unfortunately, I don’t have much time to work on something this weekend, but I still decided to make something. Because of the (extra) time-constaint, I decided to make a sometimes-graphical text adventure game:

There’s still a lot to do, but at least I’ve got the basic structure for the game down, and I sort of know in which direction the story will be heading, so I should be able to finish it.
Good luck, everyone!
Now i have a clearly idea :’D

We are coding like mad! Eating candy/sugar, drinking heavy caffeine and just being generally high (on life). Will probably have to eat something “real” soon though…
This will either end in despair…or in glorious victory. But I think that all of us at-least have something to show for now.
Like…uhmm…burned brains (zombie bbq?).
Rolle status:
Had to rewrite the game, but back on track now! Still need graphics, sounds and some…je ne sais quoi. But basic features basically done.

Emil status:
*random mumble* Almost done with basic features.

Glenn status:
Basic mechanics in place, starting to work on “special” features (weapons/power-ups etc).

Facing a couple problems in my Voxelgame..
Pickle lad is going places! There’s now a half-complete kitchen environment (my “one room”), better character movement and some music I just made! The music might not fit the mood very well yet but I don’t have time to redo it either… So let’s hope I can amp up the gameplay to match it somewhat
End of the Day 1
I made this little character and write the code for moving and pushing blocks, working on texture and level tomorrow

After my little outrage earlier, I came back and decided to do something small, less complex than I had in mind. At least I know now for next time
I realised that my knowledge of Unity / skills in creating Graphics are far less developed than I thought (Or I am just too critical about myself. :D) so I just decided to make a small one room survival shooter with a shop, upgrades and stuff.
Tomorrow I only need to implement the upgrade spawning / buying (not sure on it quite yet what I go for) and enemie spawning. Basic spawning implemented already however still need to implement a wave spawning system though and now that I think about it, a Win/Loss Scenario else it’s not fun I guess 😀
