Everyone loves competing, right?

As usual I’m overwhelmed by how hard Literary writings actually is. About half of the (very short) story is now in place. Luckily I’ve found a workaround in my “borrowed” UI that makes it more usable, so thinks will turn out ok even if I do not have the time to replace it.
(Warning: Game may, but is nor guaranteed to, contain some really cheesy jokes)
So after I didn’t get anything really done yesterday, I decided to skip streaming and started thinking about a different idea that I’ve since been working on. Not fully sure how it will end up, but I at least feel better about this plan than I felt during the hours and hours of stream where I didn’t progress at all.
I’ll make sure to report back once I feel more comfortable that this idea is actually doable. For now, back to “art” creation.

Also the random name generator is working perfectly
Core mechanics are almost done. Next couple hours I will spend adding menu and hud. It’s my first LD game so wish me luck.
‘One Room Required’ is co-op game in which you have to combine two rooms into one by destroying all pieces between.
Okay, i just finished the last area of my game (Area 5)
Time for final touches and music!
Here are some screenshots:

Hey folks, this is our first time here
Oh boy, this has been so educational, I now know my own limitations better and know what I need to focus to get better.
Me and Granlord have stumbled across a few scrapped ideas and general hurdles on our way, and we have quite a bit left to do, but we do this for the fun and will keep our spirits high all the way through!
I can tell you all right now though, this will NOT be the last time you see BroRawr Studios in a Ludum Dare, man is this addicting, thrilling even!
Consider me hooked!
I have enjoyed watching your projects and therefore, here is ours!
Enjoy!

And when you press play:

This little one man tank can put up a decent fight now! Lets see how long he can survive…

Not sure if I’ll manage to finish, but here is a screenshot of my game atm.
You can follow the further development on Twitter, if you want
Hi everyone
Here is my progress so far, I hope you’ll like the game:)

Only 3 Voxelmodels for the game, cause voxeling and animating takes quite some time!
Now I have to get the game mechanics to do as I want!

I’m basically done. I might add a bit more polish if I can. I couldn’t find the new submit page; I guess it’s not open yet?

I have done it. The Magic Workshop is ready for submission. I made much more than I expected (extended story, sounds and music), but core gameplay is quite simple. I planned to expand it, but ideas did not appear at proper time. Finally I can go to sleep.
You can try it here – https://konh.itch.io/the-magic-workshop.
Source code is available on GitHib – https://github.com/KonH/Ludum-Dare-37-Project.
The Magic Workshop is a story about Ben, who was an ordinary bank clerk and the Wizard lived in strange house. Ben got in Wizard’s way and now needs to escape from the room full of dangerous and chaotic magical accidents.

Any feedback is appreciated
Hey Guys, how is the Jam going so far?
We are currently looking for a Metal Audio Track to include in our Twitch Game “King of the Pit”.

Good luck to everyone!
P.S. Stream online on: https://www.twitch.tv/pixel_maniacs
Hi everyone!
I’m almost done, the main game is finished. I tried to make the room “change” but no luck, so instead there is a mini-load to simulate how the room changes and is getting mad.
Now I’m going to put some sounds and music that I’m going to make with Famitracker.
So far this Ludumdare I learned:
Hope I will get that music fast.

i should say “i am in” but to be honest i am ready and waiting to submit!
ps: sleep well mike
The psycho is…

Happy Sunday! Here’s a quick update on The Tomb.
As mentioned in prior posts, this is my first ever game jam that I’ve participated in! I’ve organized two, but never participated — and now that changes!
Building The Tomb has been a refreshing challenge in containing scope, which puts all those production skills I claim to have to the test. 😉
We’ve already had to cut down a few ideas such that we would have more time for testing and implementation; scope is a funny thing, but especially in such a short time.
Here’s a brief look at where we are right now, with a more in-depth final post coming tomorrow morning after we wrap the project up for submission!
This is a weird smorgasbord of our animation, characters, UI, dialogue system, and key room environment all in one place!
We’ve also got sound FX and UI sourced via Creative Commons 0 files (so no audio category for us in judging, regrettably!), and all scenes are set up. Now we’re doing final implementation and jumping into polishing and testing!
Tomorrow, we’ll have way more context on what this strange idea is, as well as an in-depth look at the entire experience.
Just remember: Death comes for us all!
