UPDATE #2 – Follow Your Dreams

Hello everyone, from our last update, much more progress has been made. Music is essentially finished, and Keagan has some album art to release.

Keagan made this

Spritework is about 90% done, and code is right behind it. Who knows, maybe there will be a giant snowstorm and all the power will get knocked out, leaving us no way to finish or submit. Could be worse.

Again, good luck to everyone competing in LD37!

28 hours to go

And the worry sets in. Even though we’re not that far from the end. Took me 5 hours to get main character animations set up. Both enemies still lack models. Downsized from 3 enemy types to 2. No sounds at all and we need an intro screen. Ugh. Programming for the most part is done. But now I’m ending up taking breaks because of it and waiting on artists is half killing me. Just relax me. We practically made it!

Tomb of the Glitch King – Submitted!

Pretty pleased for my first compo entry (I usually enter the Jam). But since I was on my own this weekend it seemed like a good opportunity to push myself. Would love to develop it more, but need to get some sleep. Great fun as always.

So here it is…

Descend into the Tomb of the Glitch King, a single room twisted into a labyrinth by dark magic. Slay the beast, or be glitched into nothingness…

Play it here – Tomb of the Glitch King

I have an important question !

I made the sounds for my game by modifying sounds from the internet now my question is can i use the, in a compo entry because i modified them or do I have to enter the jam now ?

Calloway Boss Fight

so Professor Calloway is in his Mech, where he shoots you and then charges you like a bull. This boss fight is gonna be great!

Not quite my tempo

My feeling after making my game depend on music synch in JavaScript and spending hours with no sleep trying to make it work.

Few things anger me as much as bugs in the LD

The ONE extra file I used for my game had a bug in it. I had used it many times before and not encountered the bug. Spent way too long thinking it my code. In a good mood now, hope everyone is happier than I was.

Decision made.

I’m dropping out of Ludum Dare 37. There’s too much stuff going on at home, in life, etc. I don’t have time to finish this, and my game was too ambitious to make with the tools I was using. However, I did manage to get something which I may work on throughout the week and finish.

Dropping out

Room 01 by Game Coder – Complete!

So, by the skin of his teeth, and in-between decorating the Christmas tree, playing outside with his siblings (it was dry for once) Game_Coder28 completed his first and full submission to Ludum Dare 37.

WOW, what an absolute achievement (sorry, very proud Dad moment!)

He’s slightly tired, a bit apprehensive how it will be received, but oh, so excited to have been a part of the jam.

In his own words; Room 01 is a puzzle game, there are no explanations to each individual puzzle (so trial and error) 5 puzzles in total, and his tip would be, “take your time, and really ‘watch’ what is happening in the room before the gameplay starts.

Good Luck!

Thanks again for allowing us to be apart of LD37 – Game_Coder28 is already pre-planning what he want’s to do for the next challenge for LD38!

*He mentioned he’s going to compile a windows version tomorrow (he had to go to bed to be ready for school) – apologies it’s only Mac/OSX at the moment. There’s also a long delay between the .: Room o1 :. screen and the game actually loading, if you hang in there – it does work, promise.

Quick video I took today where I got him to explain the game (he was a bit stressed in trying to get it completed, so not much in way of progress videos! But have some screenshots of the game in action). Enjoy!

The Murder Room submitted!

Finally got the game submitted to the Compo! It’s been an awesome round, I’m a bit unimpressed on my asset creation, but compared to the last compo I attended, the game is much more fun to play, so I see that as a win. Will write a post-mortem on this and think about how next compo can be handled in better ways. Until then I’m looking forward to test and rate when it goes live!

The game can be played on my entry page: The Murder Room

Get Psyched!

God Damn the Queen

After two days of hard work, we finally found some time to post – so here are the toys at war!

Tell me what you think!

For some reason I can’t link directly to the page, so just Search for Thirsty Dino in the entry browser.

Thanks!

I am having trouble… :)

This is my first Ludum Dare, and I am not very familiar with Unity.

Plus, I have not had as much time as I would have liked, but I do have something to show for the time I spent. :)Almost Done

…Almost done!

Now music and ui are missing..

Present Simulator 2016

Santa’s factory is a room, right?

With less than 6 hours left I have a moving conveyor belt with a single present on it. Hopefully I can pull some magic out of thin air and get a playable game before the deadline, but I’m not counting on it. At worst I’ll submit an interactive movie to the Jam.

A present traveling along a conveyor belt.

Watching presents go along a conveyor is exciting, isn’t it.
