Cryengine or Cyengine? :3

And yes, any game engine is allowed.

At one point the wording was you were only allowed to use engines that were freely available to anyone or had a free/trial version that allowed for publishing games. The current wording is “All publicly available libraries and middleware are allowed.” I doubt Cryengine 3 counts as publicly available.

Yes, you can, all engines allowed and you can just share the project, that’s what people using Unity and Gamemaker do.

In fact, I think Unity pro(and other commercial engine) should be forbidden. I haven’t seen any entry using it, so it’s not a big problem…

Hey,

Another question: are games using the provided assets (that come with Cryengine ) like sounds, particle sprites, sounds, models, textures etc eligible for the dare or would this count as premade content and force the entry to the Jam section?

CONFUSED ON THE THEME!?!?

I’ve never heard of anybody use Minimalism for describing a game, maybe i’m a dumb ass but what does this mean exactly? Like what are Minimalism games supposed to be like?

The simplest and fewest elements are used to create the maximum effect.

I’m in for my second ludum dare!

I hope to make something nicer than i made last time. I’ve got a box of 5 hour energy’s and don’t plan to sleep all weekend. I will be using

Unity (I’ll be scripting in JavaScript)

Blender (if i do any 3d models, i’ll likely do a 2d game though)

gimp

Bfxr

audacity

And i think that’s all.

My game so far

Here’s a screen shot of my game so far. It’s coming along nice than i expected to be honest. You’re a assassin, and you only get one bullet per level. I know it’s kind of a easy idea to come up with, with this theme, but i like it.TestBuild1.0 2013-12-14 11-38-53-818

One Shot. One Kill. (It’s finished YAY!)

This game is about being an elite sniper assassin. For each level you only have 1 bullet (and that is of course how I used the theme in this game). There are 6 different levels, each get harder as you go. You will need to start from the beginning if you miss. Have fun!

I used unity, blender, gimp, and Bfxr to make this.

This is only my second ludum dare, and i’m 15 so I have school to worry about, so it’s not the best, but i’m proud of it. It’s much nice, well put together game then what I did last time. I love to here what people think of my games, so good or bad please leave what you think in the comments.

I’m in!

This will be my third Ludum dare, so I guess when this is over I can say i’ve done it for a whole year…wow time flies.

The tools I will be using are…

Unity – i’ll be scripting with C# this time, instead of JavaScript like my other Ludum dares.

Blender – For any 3d models I do.

Gimp – for 2d images

Bfxr – for sound effects

Audacity – for any other sound effects I record in real life.

Sonvox – If I do any music, which I doubt I will, but you never know, maybe i’ll get really ambitious.

I feel very ready, I did a Easter jam a last week for practice, and what I came up with was quite large and complicated for me. (http://www.kongregate.com/games/shatley/e-day)

I can’t wait!

Fast pace FPS (48 hour compo)

Everybody else seems to be making a post about their game, so I figured why not. I made a doom/wolfenstein like fps called Battle through Hell.

You can play and rate it Here

I’m in!

Well, I better make this post before I forget. I’m in, for my fourth ludum dare. Feels like ages ago when I made a little game where you are a circle shooting other circles for ludum dare 27. I have improved so much since then. My last ludum dare was (sort of) a full fledged retro-fps. This is going to be interesting as LD is on the weekend right before school starts. And this is my first year of high school. My mother passed away recently, I wish she could see this, she was the first person I always showed my games to. I hope I make something that would have made her proud.

Engine: Unity

Programming language: C#

3D: Blender

2d: Gimp

Sound: Bfxr and/or my microphone

Good luck everybody

LD31

I’m in and making this post this late because i’m lazy

This will be my fourth Ludum Dare (I started to do the last one, but I was feeling like crap, and some crappy things were happening in my life, so I didn’t finish it, but i’m pumped and ready to this LD)

I will be using the same tools as I always use

Unity 4.6, C# for scripting

GIMP for images

Blender for 3d models

BFXR, Audacity for sound (And I started learning guitar, can’t playing that well…but maybe some simple music?)

I think that’s everything?

LD32

I’m in!

This will be my first ludum dare since ludum dare 29, and I am pumped.

What i’ll be using:

Engine: Unity 5

Programming language: C#

Images: Gimp and maybe some other image editors

3d Models: Blender

Sound: BFXR and Audacity, maybe i’ll do some guitar music.

I’m a little rusty since I haven’t done anything in a while…but may this be glorious!!!

lol

LD33

I’m in (better late than never)

Well…I don’t have much time for this, it’s 3 days before I have to go back to high school, but hey, I might as well stick with my method of not having nearly enough time as I want but doing something overly ambitious anyway. Wouldn’t want it any other way. Plus, I really like this theme.

I’ll be using

Unity and C#

Blender

Gimp

Audacity

BFXR

I think that’s all? Oh well i’m anxious to get started. Good luck everybody!!!

LD35

In

I’ll be using Unity, blender, gimp, blah blah the usual. A little rusty but i’m excited. Probably won’t have as much time as I would like because I have multiple volunteer events for Bernie to go to this weekend and maybe a family picnic (I’ll probably be fine skipping that though 😉

LD36

I’m In! (I always want to make this title more interesting…but can’t ever think of anything…)

This may be one of the first times where I actually posted the “I’m In” before Ludum Dare started. (Less then 17 minutes to go though :) I’m extremely tired to the point where I want to instantly pass out, but i’m going to try and wait for the theme (I tend to think of more Ideas when i’m tired anyway).

My toolbox.

Engine: Unity 5 (I’ll have to try to use something different eventually…but not today my friend)

Language: C#

2d art: Gimp

3d art: Blender

Sound effects: Bfxr and/or Audacity

Music: Might make some guitar music if it fits my game. Otherwise I might try to quickly learn a easy music creation software. I’ve never put music in any of my LD games before, but if I have time, i’d like to try it.

Ludum Dare 37

I’m in…

Holy crap, didn’t realize it was this weekend. But no worries, I am prepared to set aside all responsibilities if it means making an awesome game.

Engine: Unity

Scripting: C#

3d Models: Blender

2d Art: Gimp

Sound: Audacity and BFXR

Music: Maybe my guitar if it fits my game. I wanted to last time but I didn’t finish.

Am I missing anything?
