Slime cat finds shiny thingy then contemplates life

Hey everyone!
I'm in and I'll be streaming the jam! I speak French but worry not, I can answer questions in English too!
Have fun!
it was working then it wasn't
oh game dev
We did some initial concepting, and settled for now on a variant of a tower-defense game, where you manage gnome-producing mushroom houses that can build different types of worker-gnomes .. every 10 seconds .. to defend the forest from the mean bulldozers... it's a concept in the making
Platform choice right now is Javascript/React-Three-Fiber/BitECS.. so just getting the basic threads together!

Good morning ! 8am here. Time to wake up and study the theme with a cup of coffee.
Enjoy !
We finished most the basic systems and have a good plan. I spoke about our story in an earlier post (tldr: 10 second sons have to duel for power). Now we have made a list of enemy ideas and began making plans for implementing them. We have added dialogue, movement, and setup implementation for animations. Then we will be starting into the actual combat. Since your character is weak he can only win by a technicality. When your opponents leave the arena for 10 seconds they have to forfeit the match. Next time I'll be back with some content. For now we rest up for the most important day.
I've been awake for almost 3 hours already and only just managed to get an idea for the theme. I've yet to get started, but I figure I'd make a blog post which can serve as a 'design-doc' for reference for the next 2 (or 3?) days.
As I currently have a Github account with 10 unfinished Ludum Dare entry games (finished for the compo/jams at the time, but not real games) - I'm going to revisit an older entry and remake it around the theme. Its a top-down ship racer called Tachyon-R. I felt at the time like the mechanics felt good, and it could have been fun, but as it was just not finished, it wasn't.
My Tachyon-R for LD40
This time round, to fit the theme, I'm going to make a changing tracks. There are no points for guessing the interval for the changes.
There are a couple of programming challenges that I can foresee, with the biggest being to adapt a spline (track) with multiple paths.
So, i'm going to go for some breakfast and a shower, then down to coding...
After 10 hours it's time to do nap time.
But we have a great FPS with a wolf selection to attack him

Good luck for the next day
Godot submission I've been working on pretty much since the start of the announcement (with breaks in-between). I plan to improve the art in the later day(s), though we'll see how that turns out seeing as I'm not much of an artist myself. Feedback greatly appreciated!

Think I spent a little too long on the GUI (instead of leaving it to fix up later) so now I need to make it all actually do something.

I'll make a tower defense game to match this theme...boring to the end.

Character design is done. This will be another stupid game. The theme is great!

So far I'm in alone but we will see...
I will probably use Javascript, sound generator (the name? Well, I do not remember), simple procedural graphics or very simple pixel art (just editing 2D arrays in Javascript). Music? If I manage to compose something in compo time it will be in Garage Band or in Cubase. Is any 🎵 MUSIC COMPOSER 🎵 looking for partner? YES? Let me know in comments!
🍀 I wish you all good luck! 🍀
So far most of what I've done is fight with a strange bug and work on art. As you can see, my game basically consists of nothing but an incomplete spaceship at the time:

Good morning fellow brits who just rolled out of bed and have yet to accomplish anything!
Ive got nothing and only one day and 15 hours left, gosh. :)
Art + Sleep Deprivation... yep. It's uni all over again. LET'S JAM
Feeling pretty good about day one. Got a little tired of coding after already doing that for work, so after hitting my goals (besides moving the player switching to tomorrow), I moved to writing a track. Something both vibe-y, but also building up as the puzzles get a little more challenging?
Anyways, here's the link to the song as it stands right now, and a few more images of progress!
