Base mechanics work, time for some art

It'll look better and more understandable, I promise.

Guess what ? I'm into the dark side of the designer's job : TWEAKING !
Started a little bit late because of real life obligation, i'm praising the lord Ludum to let me the time to make some art and music to this game ! (and hoping my kitten will stay calm... :smirk_cat:)

progress on my submission so far, the main premise is that you play as a vtuber named Citri Pomelo, who is playing another game and your goal is to keep chat entertained every 10 seconds otherwise viewers start to leave your stream
I love prototype stages of games.

At a frequency of 1 hiccup per 10 seconds.

Tried sorting and ordering my Sprite layers for the past 3 or so hours, to make sure the leaves on my 2D trees were correctly rendering... only to realize that this, in fact, is a 3D PROJECT. Brain batteries need recharging.

When in doubt about soundttracks. Just use Bosca
Do you know a good mp4 to gif converter? One which allows 60fps. Which one do you use?

Godot threw us for some loops and we may have gone a bit too detailed on the art style but pretty happy how the first day turned out.
A quick overview overview of our idea: Every 10 seconds your ship keeps crashing into debris (rocks, shipwreck, ect). You have to grab whatever you can to keep your ship afloat. Toss items at your ship to repair the damage and make it safely to shore.
We will be playing entries on Twitch on Tuesday. Might also stream some of the progress as well when we have a bit more done. We are a married couple, one programmer one artist that love to play/create games together. Check us out at RagePaintGams
Completed: - Ship line art and base colors - Basic water and sky - Using a temporary starfish texture (Our Twitch sub icons) till we have a texture - Starfish tossing mechanic - Starfish spawning - Animations for starfish in the water - Animations for starfish shrinking into background when thrown

I forgot this existed lol! Can't wait to start!

It makes me happy that I can get results with my own programming language (which I developed for LD jam 14 days ago) :)
We came up with a concept we think is cute: "You are a discarded automaton with the unique ability to consume bio matter and converting it into fuel, which keeps you operational."
Our plan is to make a game where you play a creepy/cute robot puppy that must consume others to stay alive
We're using Godot and Aseprite as our primary tools.
We're currently doing the Ludum Dare and chose to make a game about seasons, love and gardening ^^
Here is our main screen in three seasons ! Wich one is your favorite in the real life ?

And here is our hero, in his seasons outfits :

I figured I'd share the way my dialogue system is gonna work, cause I'm quite happy with it. There still are a few things left to fix though. I'm thinking I might have been a bit too ambitious for the compo.
The bubble's z-index is based on which object is closer. It's also possible to change type speed, bubble color and more.

Some advancements in the game  Core idea is here but a lot of work remaining...

good for me
this theme kicked my butt but i got something going. biggest issue im currently facing is how the hell im making music :/
