Trying pixel art for the first time, thought LD could be a nice opportunity to try it out !
And here is the first asset ! (yeah we're super late but better late than sorry)

Good luck everyone :D
It's been a while since my last ludum dare.

For now, it's simple. The weapon will change every 10 seconds.
This will do for today. I plan to create a lot of weapon type to make it more fun to play. And of course more variety of enemies.

"...if you take too long, your opponent will get the upper hand. Go get em’ , champ."
Get School'd is a "word battle" game, where time is everything. You have only 10 seconds to answer your opponent and prove that you can stand for yourself and get through the difficult life of a high schooler.
It's an engine building deck builder amalgamation.
Only basic cards are implemented so right now its very slow and very bad.
Next step is to add some more interactive card types and cantrips and whatnot.
And deck building maybe.

I've finally got a game idea that fits with the theme and I like. Here's a preview of what one of the characters look like, try and guess which costume isn't in the game.

we've got the main menu + aesthetic down for "HACK THE PLANET" and we're so happy with it!

Ok, spawning/shooting is done. Time for the killer feature impl!

I am making a game where you control a space probe on a distant moon on a 10 second delay.

Evry 20 sec, sumone in Di City is kill.
So I think that most of the mechanics I can realisticly have is in the game now. Air tank is working, hidden areas explorable and many of the animation systems seems to work as intended. I'll try to find some time to make a quick and dirty level-editor to speed up that progress later. Then it's time for some juice, and later some sound!
The objective is to explore the under water caverns. But you need to refill your tank every 10 seconds!

I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made so far, Hopefully I just don't get stuck when designing levels.

Hey, I'm a rather new game developer and I've decided to work on my first Ludum Dare Gamejam with my artist. We were hoping to show our work in development; we decided to make a concept that has both elements I'm familiar with (which I admit is rather limiting) and wouldn't risk missing the deadline. So far we are making good progress in my opinion with most elements of the game working as intended thus far.
Our game is about a slime that must reach the end of a maze, following the path perfectly whilst being observed by scientist. You have a time limit of 10 seconds to reach the end, failing to do so or falling off the path will result in immediate failure. The tiles will increase in both quantity and variety, though time will not. Thus far we have considered adding time bonuses when the levels are too long but I am unsure as to whether that will stray too far away from the theme or not.![unknown[1].png](http:///raw/1e8/94/z/4f227.png)
