Loved it so much first time, now I’m in again! LEGACY was alot of fun to make, now I’m working in a group of 4 for the Jam!
Using:
UNITY
LOGIC PRO
GIMP
PHOTOSHOP
I don’t think one of these posts is mandatory, but they seem common and I don’t want to take risks on my first ludum dare. Can’t wait:
programming in: GM8 using GML
graphics done in: Graphics Gale, maybe some MS paint
Audio done with: FamiTracker, probably
Looking forward to the dare!

It is my first time participating. Finally! Also my first time trying to finish game in less than a week! Any ways so the tools
Programming: Flashdevelop and Flashpunk
Graphics: Paint.net
Sound: Sfxr or Bfxr
Music: not sure what to use but maybe Audacity.
Drinks: Orange juice
Hope I can get this done and don’t sleep off!
Awriiiight, I’m in!
You may remember me from such crappy games as Vampire The Buffet Slayer – http://buffetslayer.co.uk/
This time I’m switching away from Flash, instead I’ll be using Haxe/OpenFL . In the name of full disclosure, I’m using a really simple bit of boilerplate that does the boring stuff I always spend time doing at the start of jams: github.com/danhett/jamkit
I’m also running the Manchester Game Jam, so far we have thirty-odd people signed up. Room for more if anyone wants to join us!
madlab.org.uk/content/manchester-game-jam-ludum-dare/
Good luck, y’all.
Just checked and I saw that I was wrong: I thought it will be a day later, not tomorrow. *Installing all tools* *downlaoding…* *reading tutorials* *making an game idea for every theme in the list* I think I don’t even have time!!!
We’re all gonna die…
I am going to make a game for mobile devices and also for web browser.
Good Luck!
Lets see how this goes,
language: python
Library’s: pygame, numpy, pyingition(maybe), XMLtree(maybe)
Content tools: Gimp, sfxr, abundant music
I added Java Applet to the old (remaking it way different) version of this “engine”. It should be at the same location, but just in case it’s not, here’s the link again. Don’t wanna have trouble being allowed to use stuff.
Petrichor: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8s2onn3j7k7w7u4/Petrichor.jar
Should be my final post before things start unless I happen to have more things to add to Petrichor before hand, but as soon as LD is over I’m trashing it and working on the new version that might actually be easier to use.
Again, good luck all!
This would be my 5th Ludum Dare, yay! Looking forward to making a game. Im thinking of doing an interactive christmas card sorta deal for my family. But I’ll see what the theme is first.
Here’s a playlist I love listening to while programming: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLJO1zgiMtrW6hs3xz3WpyY2TKevuKF9y&feature=mh_lolz basically a bunch of epic music 1 hr compilations.
I don’t know what I’m going to do, or If I even have the time. I just finished finals though, and this is my first weekend off. Plus I haven’t used unity for a while, and I want to try out its new 2D features. If my social live doesn’t interfere THAT much, I might make it.
Using: Unity, GIMP, uhh….sfxr, uhh…
This will be my first Ludum Jam of any kind, let alone my first game jam. My friends and I are doing it, and I hope we’re prepared! Wish me luck! I’ll be streaming under the Twitch name EpicTree1337 some time tonight, and a little bit tomorrow, so come check it out! Oh, and we’ll be using Python 2.7, Pyglet, PyMunk, Bfxr, GIMP, Paint.NET, (InkScape???), and maybe a little bit of personal code. I don’t have to link that if i’m doing the Jam do I?
*EDIT*
I will not be streaming, and I might not be able to participate, but I will try to at least make a submission of some sort.
missed the last one and haven’t programmed in a while now..
but i should be able to come up with something
java / reason

Since I only have to work one shift this weekend at the restaurant, I’ll have enough time to get an entry in for my second LD! Hopefully I can do better than my last entry!
I’ll be making a game in HTML5 Using my still in alpha library, LynxJS. As for art I’ll be using a combination of pixen and photoshop and for sound I’ll just be making my own samples.
Good luck everyone!
We’re making a top-down game this time. Hopefully we’ll do better than last time when we had lots of problems with random crashes.
We’ll be using:
As usual we’re running continous integration of all commits on https://ci.kwarf.com/ where you can always download the latest binaries. We will provide binaries for Linux, Windows and OS X, though OS X is not yet up and running.
I am pretty excited as this will be my first LudumDare as last time I attempted I ended up not finishing or really accomplishing much at all. I am a lot better at coding since my last attempt so I hope to be able to build something worthwhile this time around (I also don’t have an angry girlfriend who is complaining I am not paying enough attention to her now). I do have a lot of finals I should be studying for though so I am kind of scared as to how I am going to balance both.
Good luck and have fun, everyone!
This time I am using:
Alright I have finally decided what I’m gonna be using to make this game. Or at least the potential things I will use.
That’s all there is to it, right?
I’ve discovered I only have about 18 hours of dedicated work time to develop this game this weekend. Wish me luck!
This is going to be my first entry in LD, and I am really excited! Last night I got the last of my programming setup ready to go. I’m planning on using Javascript + Canvas for my entry. I will be using GIMP to make any art that I need, an old copy of MusicTime Deluxe to write any music I decide to use, and http://www.bfxr.net/ to generate any sound effects. I will be using Sublime Text as my editor as well.
I’m using GitHub pages for hosting my project and source code. I’ve already taken some time to get my boilerplate javascript/canvas framework ready to go (a basic game update/render loop). I also spent some time making sure I knew how to draw an image and play a mp3 in javascript, since I have almost no javascript experience! The game will be located here:
http://scottrick.github.io/ld28/
Good luck to everyone!
