I submitted a screenshot, but it keeps telling me that I need one and when I go back there isn’t one. I have tried adding it multiple times but it doesn’t work.

4 Hours Left
And I have no chance of getting my game done before the deadline. My main problems were just a pure lack of ideas for the theme, and also physics problems. I don’t really know if I’ll post an exe or not as all I have is this:

I’m missing my main gameplay element, and the game regularly likes to completely destroy the physics all the time.
I guess this is goodbye until the next Dare, or if I decide to merge this into the Jam section.
Annnnnd I’m done!
Since it’s 12:30 pm here in France, it’s time for me to finish.
It’s been a nice LD, I tried to make an original game linked to this theme, and this is what I ended up with : Disconnected Keyboard.

Give it a try, and try to beat my record!
I’m excited to look at your games and the comments about mine!
Good night, y’all
You Are Bacteria – finished :)

This is a zero-player game.
It’s a connection between the player, the computer science cellular automaton ( Conway’s Game of Life ) and a world of a simple bacterias.
http://i.imgur.com/j16ciQI.png
Rules:
- Each bacteria has it’s own “brain”.
- The brain is a simple simulation of Conway’s Game of Life
- Player can modify it by adding active cells. Player can add 10 cells at the beginning. Each 10 game cycles is given another cell.
- In the brain if active cells extends 45% the bacteria will multiply – new bacteria will show.
- If the brain has no active cells bacteria dies.
- The “movement” of cells in brain cause movement of the bacteria. So if there is no movement the bacteria will stand still.
Have fun

Belated update as we roll into the final hours
Making a lot of good progress today! On my LD entry at least. My other weekend obligations… not so much. Oops!~ I’m down to adding in my random events and the end game criteria (Timer based, I think I’ll go with) and then I’ll have a completely playable game! YAAAAAY!~ There’s also still a tiny chance I’ll try to add sound before the competition ends. We’ll see about that though.

Bifrost Project, 45 hours into competition.

As finished as it’ll get with an hour to spare.
The game didn’t turn out very fun, but I learned a lot about THREE.js and shaders. The plan was to have a few more stations for interacting with. Ideally, the information would be somewhat realistic and related to what astronomy data actually is, but that takes some research. Also, I didn’t get around to making any sound effects or music.
But on the bright side, there’s some neat little interactive bits and that’s what makes a game, so there you go.

Is it too late to be in?
Well, we were on since the word go, but since this is our first LD we were a bit nervous about start posting.
Our game is to be called “Poking Planets”, and it’s about poking planets (aha! I bet you weren’t expecting that!).

Well, i’ts about poking planets with your Poking Ship, bringing them close together so they can trade resources according to their needs and wares, while making sure you don’t make them collide or enter a danger zone.
Your objective in each stage is to find a way to obtain the resources your home planet requires.
We never did any game jams and we thought LD was the perfect place to start, and we’re having loads of fun so far.
We wish everybody good luck!
Link the Nodes – Day 2 report
So that’s the end of day 2 already, here is what I did :
- 9:30 to 10:15 am (45min): background V1 and splash screen.
- 10:30 to 11 am (30min): title scene.
- 11:05 to 11:35 am (30min): work on UI (icons).
- 12:05 to 12:40 (35min): ?
- 5 to 6 pm (1h): end level screen.
- 6:30 to 7:50 pm (1h20): color gradients.
- 9:10 to 10:10 pm (1h): color gradient, background V2
- 10:40 to 12 pm (1h20): various.
Total time: 7h (9h yesterday)
So, today the visuals have been vastly improved and the gameplay has been refined a little, but I still don’t have more content.
That will be for tomorrow, I hope I will be able to have a random level generation.
I planned a level editor but I ditched the idea even before starting the day, maybe for another time…
Play the game in Chrome and tell me what you think !

Finished. Happy. Tired.
I just submitted my first Ludum Dare game link.
It’s no masterpiece and I know I can do better, but I still be proud of it, because I finally participated and didn’t gave up. Unfortunately the game isn’t very funny :D, but I don’t want to badmouth my game directly.
I will tomorrow or so post a small postmortem about what went wrong or good.
regards OadT
Getting Close
I know it’s getting close to submission time. I am still working on adding levels, though, I have a basic playable build with one level uploaded and ready for playing. It is available for Linux (32-bit + 64-bit), Windows (32-bit + 64-bit) and OSX (universal).
The download is unfortunately a single zip file containing other zip files, but it can be downloaded from here: Two Worlds (Not final version)
There are a couple of bugs that I still haven’t gotten figured out yet either, but they are not game-breaking.
Let me know what you think! I’ll be uploading the submission version after I get one (maybe two) more level(s) added.
Submitted! Check it out!
