LD31 December 5–8, 2014

☃ I’m in! ☃

My plan is to sleep early today so I can spend the entire saturday night on my game. Also, I’ll be doing this LD with other participants at Shiro Games!
Here are my tools:

  • IDE: FlashDevelop
  • Code: Haxe+OpenFL
  • Pixel Art: GraphicsGale / Paint.NET
  • Music: FL Studio
  • SFX: sfxr / LabChirp / FL Studio

Good luck everyone, see you tomorrow! :)

I’m in, First time

This is my first Ludum Dare, I hope to impress!

I’ll be using:

  • Engine: Unity 3D
  • 3D Graphics: Blender
  • Texture: Paint
  • Sound: Where every I can find it!

Going to try UE4!

Life’s been a little crazy for the last year and a half and I haven’t gotten to participate much.  I was going to skip this time, but decided maybe I’d try an HTML5 game for kicks.

But the UE4 free 90 day code has me seriously considering using that, even though I haven’t actually used it yet.  It’ll mean a *much* more basic game, but oh well.  It’s a good opportunity to try it out finally.

I think learning UE4 is enough of a stretch goal for myself that I’m not going to aim for anything special this time, like I have in the past.  I’ll be happy just to get a basic game completed.

I’m in!

Hello to everyone, this Ludum Dare will be my first time, so let’s see what will be happening with this new experience for me
Why all people writing this “Im in” post? Just a question 😀

I participated in GlobalGameJam’2014, so i think i can finish this 48h run ;]

Ah yea, I will try Unity first time too (FlStudio + paint.net for resources)
Good luck Have fun ;]

The “I’m in” posts are necessary because the spam filter thinks you’re a bot if your first post doesn’t say that you’re in, or something like that.

I’m in! MILLE!

Awesome and good luck!

I’ll also be using Game Maker Studio Professional \o

Tools and base code

I’m in. Again. My daughter won’t be taking part this time, as she has a trampolining competition. But on the plus side, perhaps I’ll get to use my main PC rather than the laptop.

This time I’ll be using:

  • Unity 4.6 – game engine
  • Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition – IDE
  • Paint.NET – for dodgy programmer art
  •  Audacity and bfxr – sound effects (stand by for recordings of the cat)
  • BeepBox – music (don’t expect Handel)
  • git – because you’d be daft not to

I would also like to declare some base code. It’s nothing more than a fusion of a hierarchical state machine with Unity 4.6’s new event system, but it means that I don’t have to start bolting a menu system onto the game once it’s done.

never really done this before

the chances of me actually getting a game made in a few days by myself are a little slim, mainly because I get distracted easily. But for the heck of it I’m going to try the game jam anyway, cant wait for the event to actually start!!!

so many programs to use, so little time to choose the one I’m going for…

I am in!

Logiciel Allan – Live

We starting our livestream more soon as expected , we gonna create a game for Christmas , until LD31 starts ! 😉 Twitch : leallandu33 -Logiciel Allan Team.

Yum yum bread boys are ravaging outer space

Hello fellow Ludarers

We are planning on making a game about a warrior bear on a quest to avenge his family’s death. His family were killed by the notorious french spacegang: The yum yum bread boys – a group of floating heads with the power of shooting baguettes and cigarettes from the eyes.

Eagerly anticipating how the theme will affect his bearish fate for better or for worse

I’m in

I’m really excited; I know my entry will be so much better than last time. I can’t wait to get started. Lets do this!

I am in, snowmen.

I… Ok. The theme will be something related to snowman. Joke.

(-1) Snowman \o/

My goal this time will be more polished than the last LD. I want to make a short game, less complicated with less features. I want to develop and improve a main feature before I try to add other features. The problem for my last participation was I had many features. Those were good, but not fun enough. So my game was not really fun. But if I focus one feature per feature and improve it, that will be better.

So, my game will be short, fun and easy to understand. My time, this time, is shorter than 48h because of exams on Monday. I hope I will be able to complete  it and pass my exams too :X

Game engine : Love2D (lua)
This game will be available on MAC, Linux and Windows. Maybe a web version if I have the time to develop it quickly. (Before Christmas!).
Brace yourself, snowmen!

Great to see you there <3

I’m in :D

This is my first ever Ludum Dare, but I’ll be going for it full force! I’ve stocked up on anything containing caffeine and gratuitously unhealthy food to keep me going.

I’ll be using Unity, but I really hope the theme isn’t Snowman, because I can think of literally nothing good for it!

We’re in!

Luminar Studios are joining the jam.

Our setup:
null

We will be using:

  • Unity
  • Blender
  • SourceTree
  • Paint.NET
  • Photoshop
  • Audacity
  • Bfxr

Announcing code base for LD31 — Flixel project template publicly available for Ludum Dare use

I’m in for LD31!  Code base and tools:

I am using a personal library that provides a FlashDevelop Flixel project template as base code.

Here is what the project template loooks like without modification:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21575115/bliz_flixel_ld_template/index.html

Here is the download link for the project template, which includes a README.TXT:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21575115/bliz_flixel_ld_template.zip

Everyone is allowed to use this project template but ONLY for Ludum Dare games.  Please email me (gtschemer at gmail.com) if you have any questions otherwise.

I am using my previous Ludum Dare entries for reference code so that I can look at them as needed.  Here are the previous entries including source code:

Hey all!

Got a live stream up of me building a new engine for the assets from someone else’s LD entry from ages ago – Cat Planet:

http://www.hitbox.tv/lewishosie

Due to time zones (I’m in Australia) and life factors I’ve started tonight (Friday) and am going to finish early. It’ll still be 48 hours but in the interests of fair play I’ll enter it as a jam entry with an understanding that it’s not an effort to “seriously” attempt the challenge.

I am in

Greetings, travellers.

Here for my fifth LD. It’s always been a pleasure and a lot of fun, I guess this is not going to change this time. These are the tools I’ll use:

in

+ something that ends on fxr for the sounds.

+ some friends coming over and joining LD. We’ll probably all go for the compo and it’s going to be quite the party I think.

+ playlist consisting of lots and lots of video game soundtracks, OCRemix stuff, Sithu Aye, Perturbator, Cloudkicker and, as always, Babymetal. :)

Have a good time everyone.
