Heya, this is my first Ludum dare so I will start with the Jam, I’m not a very experienced game developer but I’ll see how this goes.
Engine: Java LWJGL, with paulscode SoundSystem and SlickUtil.
Art: Pixel Art in Acorn, larger images in photoshop.
Sound: BFXR of course :D, oh and I don’t think I have anyway to make music yet.
This should be fun ^^.
Hello Hello!
First time compo for me! Gonna see what happens, will be first time trying to do pixel art for a complete game so that should be interesting.
Engine: Unity / C#
Engine Tools: 2d Toolkit, 43Kit (my own unity + 2d toolkit helper), maybe some prime31 open source stuff.
Art: Pyxel Edit
Music/SFX: Ableton Live
I should be able to have a working web version at all times while making it. Will do builds for Windows/Mac/Linux/Web at the end probably. I’d like to have a public google doc going so anyone can follow along if they like. I’d also really like to stream most of what I’m doing! It would be really cool to make a time lapse video with all the footage at the end.

I’m officially in! Unfortunately my friend won’t be joining this time around, but hey there’s always next time. Anyhow I think it will still be a great experience! Can’t wait, so excited to see the all the creative minds at work for these upcoming three consecutive days.
As for the software I’m planning to use is
Unity 3D
Photoshop
BFXR sound effects
On the side note!
I’ve started a new little guide to games development on my blog.. The content will be about the fundamentals of games development and later planning to talk about more in depth algorithms and programming techniques that I’ve learnt over the years in games development. Check it out

I’ll also be updating my ludum dare progress on here!
Anyhow I shall see you ludumdarians on the flip side, take care!

Hey guys!
Tomorrow, I will make sure my weekend homework is mostly finished, and I then I will prepare for the compo! Before that happens though, are there any features you would like to see in Yamanu? Something feasible within an hour or so. Something utility like. Check the source to see if I already have it or not, and tweet me or comment in the post to let me know!
Good luck guys!

I am in for Jam #31. Here are some of the tools my friend and I are able to use:
Graphics – Photoshop/Illustrator/Microsoft Paint
Audio – bfxr, Audacity
Coding/Framework – Javascript/HTML/CSS
My fifth Ludum Dare this time!
I will be using:
-Unity 3D for 2D
–Inkscape or Paint.NET depending on which art style I decide on
-Audacity for recording audio
Goooood luck everyone!

In my last “I’m in” post I mentioned putting together a collection of some common functions that I’ve used in previous LD games…

Well I’ve done it and named it “RocketBoots”. If you’d like to check out the Github repo, feel free to use the code or contribute. It’s all open-source, freely licensed — and a complete mess at this point.
I figure this will either help out my LD-31 game by giving me some useful generic functions for menus, sound, canvas, and 2d coords… OR will completely distract me, causing me to write efficient, reusable RocketBoots components rather than concentrate on the game itself. But at least this time I have some base-code to work with and I’m not start with a completely empty page.
Onward, upward! Good luck everyone! I hope you voted smartly. 😉
I will be joining Ludum Dare!
Language: Actionscript 3
Art: Pickle
Music: Audiosauna
I tried putting together a mess of a framework so I’d actually have something to start with. This is what I got:
www.gwbloom.com/dev/games/FDZmini-v0.1.0.zip
You can test a really crappy example at www.gwbloom.com/dev/games/FDZmini
This isn’t a submitted game, just a ‘test environment’ of the framework I’m sharing.
I’m going to be using HTML5 and straight JS again. No time to learn anything new, isn’t this one like two months early?
Last words, may have time to do some Photoshop. That’s about the only other thing I’ll use. I get the feeling this will be a disaster without that extra prep time. What a few months this has been @_@
First time, we’ll see how it goes.
I’ll be using:
Unity/C#/Visual Studio
Blender
Gimp & Paint
Audacity
Good luck people!
Hello all! I’ve been designing games now for almost a year, using the amazing tool known as Stencyl. This will be my first time participating in Ludum Dare (I’m doing the 48h Compo), and I’m really excited.
Here’s what I’ll be using:
Language: haXe
Frameworks/Editor: Stencyl
Graphics: Paint, Gimp, Inkscape
Audio: SFXR, Beepbox
Can’t wait to get started!
I am using some base code I made early, so I am posting the source.
https://github.com/TimCis/Ludum-Base-Code/tree/master
What? none of you remember me? Oh…
Anyway, I’ll be using:
If anyone else has forgotten to write their lwjgl framework, feel free to use mine, it’s fairly easy to use, but remember not to use the default font that came with it, that’s against the rules, and furthermore, it’s butt-ugly.
Good luck everyone and Happy hunger games!
Totally forgot that it was this weekend… but totally plan on being in, as I missed the last one
Development : Haxe, or monogame… depending on my mood at the time.
Graphics : Photoshop or procedural… depending on my mood at the time.
Sound & Music : FLStudio, Audacity and bfxr… depending on my mood at the time.
Good luck to everyone! Look forward to playing your games!
I’m excited!

Hoping to complete another game this time, me and my artist Sirmi will be participating in the Jam!

And of course for the timelapse I will be recording with Camtasia and editing with Camtasia Studio.
Good luck everyone, hope to see the end of this one!
P.S. I hope that snowman loses. I dunno what to do if it wins…
I’m in and I’ll be using java, gimp and something(I don’t know what) for audio.
