Right, So we’re a few hours is. Lewis has decided to remake Cat planet as a multiplayer game. So far his loading screen plays a burst of nyan and displays an awesome moving head.
Mine on the other hand looks like the below:

What you’re seeing there is a number of tiles that are generating. Currently the only random one is the “Entry” door. I’ve also made some other background tiles that will become apparent with time. Most of this thus far has been learning to deal with OpenTK and remembering that C# is not C++ and asking stupid questions.
We’ve decided to unleash the stream on you poor people. Linky: http://www.hitbox.tv/lewishosie WARNING: Some NSFW language, Some alcohol usage, Some surprise guests that we don’t expect.
Other Statistics: (assumed collective count, unless stated otherwise)
We’ll put up another update later on as things progress. I’m currently deciding whether to work on map generation or get a “Main Character” moving around…. Both seem like equal time distributions…. Oh, I also intend on animating some of the backgrounds if time permits, but it’ll occur later.
Okay, this is my second shot at compo. Last time, back in ol’ LD29, I had tried something a little bit too ambitious with multi-agent pathfinding and since the laptop I used couldn’t display Game Maker Studio’s debug grid, I was eventually forced to drop out.
So, LD31 will be my revenge! Muhahaha! I’ll probably try to stick to something simpler, though. Depends on the theme, I guess.
I’ll be using Game Maker Studio (Pro), Photoshop, probably Flash or Spriter for the animation, if the need for animation arises and Audacity and BFXR for sound.
Good luck everybody! See you on the battlefield!
This will be my first time, Im just aiming to get something playable done that fits the theme 😀 Hopefully it wont suck completely!
Tools:
Unity 4.6 (C#)
Photoshop (terrible 2d art will be made)
Bfxr
Cubase (Maybe recording some sound/music myself :P)
Looking forward to trying all your games
This will be my first game jam. I hope this will be fun.
I will use phaser => http://phaser.io/
This is my first time with this framworks too so I maybe that I will make something not interesting… But I want to try
Hi everybory !
it’s my first time to do this and i hope i can finish a game. This is a real challenge for me. Good luck :3
Programming tools : Construct 2 or Flash pro ( 2nd won’t run so i hava construct 2 too)
Graphics : Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
Here we go for 4th in a row! 😀
I’m not sure if I am in the Jam or the Compo yet, waiting on confirmation from my muso friend if he will be accompnaying me during the Jam. 😀
Regardless of that though, the software!
Engine: My weapon of choice is Unity, absolutely love Unity (might even use the pro trial if I find a good enough reason).
Audio: Ask my muso friend. 😛 Otherwise SFXR and GarageBand. 😛
Graphics: Probably Paint.Net or Gimp.
Streaming: Ill be streaming using Open Broadcast Software through Twitch. 😀
Man I am so pumped for this, best of luck everyone!
Remember, at the end of this, your prize is your product! 😀
Trying to think of snowman games because I think the theme is a foregone conclusion at this point.
Third time is the charm right? Hopefully this LD compo will be successful like #27, but BETTER!!
Using http://phaser.io
might use Bfxr
adobe suite or paint.net for art
Here’s our international team!
As you can see, we live far away from each other, and the time differences are tricky. This time, I’m going to use Javascript/HTML for the first time. I made a simplistic framework called JavaScript Cheat Sheet and will create something based on this. Wish us good luck!
This will be my first game jam ever!
I hope I’ll have some fun!
I’ll be using Code::Blocks for C++ with SFML and Paint.net for sprites and all.
Can’t wait!
Our fourth LD Jam together, let’s do this! Just the two of us this time around:
For once we’ll be keeping it simple with our scope. Every single entry so far has been incomplete.
Good Luck everyone!
☃
So, I’ll be participating in my third LD, which is pretty cool…I guess.
I’ll also be taking part in the 48 hour compo this time, cause I need more motivation to make games and even in the jams, in which I’ve been, I’ve always made all the content from scratch and worked alone. I mostly went to the jam, because of the extra day…which I spend in school…kinda pointless.
Anyway, I’ll be trying GameMaker this time, instead of MMF2. Mostly because I want to have a more flexible dev environment. I’ll be doing full GML and none of that drag-n-drop stuff… I kinda have a dislike for drag-n-drop development now, so yeah.
I’ll be doing art either in Flash 8 or in GraphicsGale. In the end, I’ll probably go for pixel art with GraphicsGale, because I’m more comfortable with it, instead of drawing everything in Flash 8.
Sound will be done in SFXR, FL Studio 11 and Audacity. I’ll be making the music on a synth (aka the only instrument that I own and I am able to play without having my hands cut off by music critics).
I’ll also try to make a livestream on Twitch or just a timelapse on my Youtube.
See you there! ^-^
I’m in, working with Unity3d, Photoshop, MonoDevelop, Logic Pro X, and Blender. Additionally, I’m using trello and git to manage tasks and take snapshots of my progress for later analysis.
+1 Snowman
ROIGHT.
Missed the last one after 4 consecutive participations, so making up for lost time.
Tools:
Unity
c#
Paint.net
SFXR
shovel
gloves
carrot
coal
scarf
Good luck everyone.
I AM IN~!
Nobody reads it anyways.
So here’s my twitter, for nobody: https://twitter.com/Ghandhikus

SORRY FOR HORRIBLE ENGLISH!
Well… This day is Saint Nicholas holiday here in Czech Republic. Almost every city / village have some kind of celebrations.
In my village we have this kind of celebrations.
17:00 St. Nicholas coming from local church with angels.

After Nicholas and angels, march of devil’s start coming from opposite direction.

And grande finale! Angels lit up christmas tree lights in town square!
So I’ll say it now!
I’m in!
I’ll be using Unity3D, Paint.NET, and whatever other software I can manage to get back in time.
I’m playing on super-hard mode, by not being home with my main machine; instead, I’ve got nothing but a freshly-formatted laptop with no drivers, no external mouse/keyboard (touchpad + inbuilt keyboard make me… something, something…), and no comfy headphones for long periods of audio work!
This’ll no doubt be the smoothest LD of all time!
Good luck to everyone (unless the unicode snowman wins)!
I’ve been looking forward to this for a while!
I’m looking to get a finished game with hopefully music and audio in.
Tools:
Unreal 4, Maya LT, Photoshop, Imitone, Audacity and Music Creator 6.
If you’re like me and suck at music, check out Imitone. It converts microphone input into midi commands for use with virtual instruments. So hook up your mic and a virtual violin and you could be singing/whistling some sick Mozart tracks for your LD entry!
