LD33 August 21–24, 2015

Think I’ll try again

Last time I actually submitted anything was LD28…so it’s been a while. Just looking to have some fun.

Not completely sure what I’ll use, will probably just default to C++ using SFML after wasting a couple hours trying different things.

IM IN

So hyped second year lets see how this goes.

Goin solo again from scratch.

This year im goin disconnect the internet after i get topic NOOOOOOOO distractions that’s what screwed me last year.

Stuff  i’ll be using :

  • Construct2
  • Photoshop

I’m in and excited!

Alright, I am super excited for this.

This is my second ludum dare as my first was ludum dare 32, I am really exited for this as I loved the

first one :)

I’m In for LD33!

I’ll be doing a solo project this time.

My starting code is here: https://github.com/eparadis/LD33_preEvent

It’s an almost empty Unity 5 project and includes two bash scripts for making builds and deploying them to a web server. You might find it useful as a starting point too!

I’ll not be using any other frameworks or plugins.  I might end up writing a quick unit test thing though.

Tools

  • Unity 5
  • MonoDevelop
  • vim
  • Graphics will be colored quads in the Solarized palette.
  • Sound FX will be made on cfxr.
  • Music will be from Autotracker and converted to MP3 using VLC.

Stretch Goals  😉

  • Draw sprites and backgrounds on my iPad in Sketchbook, transfer the files to my Mac, cut and trim them with Preview, and then import them to Unity
  • Write a version of the BASIC PLAY() command and think up some tunes, or just make a random pentatonic “music” generator.

…And so it begins!

Hi all,

i’m in this time again, 3rd time lucky?

Unity or Slick2D, PS and ArtRage, Bxfr and MODO Indie in any case.

Have a great time everyone and check out my LD Twitch stream at Hairein’s LD Twitch Stream starting 6 PM this evening UTC+2!

In my timezone it’s starting tomorrow.

Dare again

I’ll be doing the Jam once more.  I am going to be basing my work off of this code here, same framework code I made and used last year.

http://www.gwbloom.com/dev/games/FDZvers/FDZmini-0.3.zip

Though I have a few surprises to try out as well.  Two friends have offered to do music, so I’ve figured out how to do a simple lightweight setup for music and sound effects!

I’m in again!

Ludum Dare 32 was a great experience so I’ll be taking part this time again 😀

Going to be using JavaScript this time around as I think I’ve learnt how to embed it right on the submission page! Won’t that be much simpler than having to download a file which may or may not run?

I will be working solo for the main competition but I’m hoping to be able to release something for the jam with a little help from my friends. They’ll be adding things like images and sound 😛

Good luck to everyone taking part :)

Ba-dum-tish! I’m in!

I’m in once again to participate in my sixth Ludum Dare so far!

As per usual, I’m doing the compo. If you’re interested, I’ll be blogging about my process at manabreak.eu. The first post is already up, in which I go through my set-up for the compo.

All in all, I’m pretty excited to do LD once again. Good luck to everyone, have a super fun weekend!

I’m in!

First time participant, probably gonna be making something with Unity and pseudo-pixels and chiptunes because that’s what I’m most comfortable with. Can’t wait to get started!

We’re in!

We are a team of dev pals who have jammed before but this will be our first LD and were excited!

Team

Code: @DuzzOnDrums / @nuclearfriend@ToiletChildren
Art: @gavku / @SunraHeadgear / @YeOldShrimpEyes

Tools

We’ll be using a standard suite of development tools (Photoshop etc) and the engine will be Unity 5.

Follow

If you want to keep abreast, DuzzOnDrums will be streaming on Twitch here. If you’re on Twitter, you can follow @nuclearfriend and I’ll be making some regular updates there. But follow everyone above if you want too, we love making new dev friends!

Good luck everyone!

I’m in

Gonna be a Unity weekend

Greets from South Africa

I’ll give it a shot.

Have never actually finished anything of an LD but hopefully it’s different this time.

Using:

  • Unity 5
  • Visual Studio 2015
  • Photoshop CS6
  • Ableton Live

What do i need for a time lapse?

Hey guys!

I’m really excited about new LD33 and this time I want to make a time-lapse video with my friends of our game-making process.

So I want to ask you, experienced participants, what are the best programs to do that? App for an iPhone for video and app for PC for screen capture. Also maybe someone can give us some advices on creating a stream?

chronolapse. free and easy to use. you can also capture yourself using the same app.

Aim to finish!

This’ll be my first big LD I participate in.

I’ll use java and lwjgl and maybe some code sniplets from my site.

I’ll also stream the whole process at twitch.tv

So long as you make all the assets used yourself and during the 48 hours, yes, you can.

Hi, LD #33!

Hey everyone!

After so many missed LD’s I’m finally in for this one. My fridge is behaving in a strange way but I’m just gonna ignore it even if it breaks. No fridge – nothing to store – less things to buy, right?! :)

I’ll be using Unity (C#), DOTween, Gimp and/or Krita, autotracker.py and bfxr (and probably smth from freesound.org). I’m aiming for smth veeery simple yet still fun, which works good with gamepad (I believe that’s how games are to be played, really).

I was tempted to stream my dev also, but I’m just out from another jam, and the main thing I’ve learnt there is that my scope is still a bit too big. So I’m shrinking everything I can for the sake of quality and – you know – fun of what’s left.

Have a great one, folks!

I’m in!

I have to say I’m not fond of the selected themes in the final round.

So I guess I’m going to hate the final theme.

FOR THAT VERY REASON, I’m going to make a game!

Using Unity, some other little stuff and some other stuff, depending on my idea.

Let’s hope to pull off something. YAY!
