After looking for some bugs, I found out that it was possible to glitch into blocks and use them as some kind of teleportaion device. Now it is is fixed and it looks like this: http://imgur.com/EzGj5EY

Still working on basic mechanics, but a lot of the cooler aspects are in. We have a rotating planet, and you can click to attach modules to it (with the requirement that they don't collide with anything). Currently, the physics doesn't feel entirely great once you start adding modules, and we don't have the meteors built in to collide with & damage modules; but most of the input is fixed up. Exciting stuff!

All created assets have been imported into the Unity project. Now the coding begins.
I tried to use Tiled to create the level, but the image created was too large for Unity.
My first step is to create the LevelGenerator class.
First time entering the Ludum Dare, I'm having a great time!! Mechanics and gameplay are setup, tomorrow, I'll do graphics, sounds and explosions...Lots of explosions.

I already feel like i'm over my head and I just created the starter class and I finally have an idea of how i'm going to build this. Toiled away this morning with menial chores and hanging out with loved ones.
Luckily I can tear apart previously built games to figure out how to do this, since I haven't built a game in a few years.

Some progress has been made to the game, and you can now place saplings and drop wood from your single-slot player inventory, but that is enough for one day I think!

This is the first time ive joined the compo, but i feel like i’ve got a really good start. I’ve got inventory working, items moving, (buggy) conveyors pushing, shop shopping, code coding and sloppy art being made:

So this is actually going well. Just hope i’ll get done by the deadline.

I've done a lot on the game since the last update! People now actually do things, there are resources (food, wood, stone and knowledge), some more buildings, a day-night cycle and lots of internal systems. It's really starting to feel like a (basic...) citybuilder! There's still a lot to do though, including adding in a story and lots more buildings and systems. And just one more day... First, however, it's time to get some sleep. I'll see how much I can get out of this game tomorrow.
