Progress so far

I wanted to post earlier, but I have to survive with the Internet connection of my phone right now.

I had the idea last night (regards from an UTC +2!) and programmed the basic mechanics in Unity this morning. Now I've got the complete structure of the game and will keep working before going to bed. Tomorrow art and improved mechanics.

I leave here a piece of my game: “There are many things in this universe, some of them pretty well known, some others we just can't figure out. This video game is about a number of these things. It's about the unknown. It's about discovering.”

I will upload screenshots when I have some art implemented.

Oh, I almost forget! The music for my game is from two friends of mine, Pachelbel and Mozart. I wanted them to compose a brand new soundtrack, but I'm afraid they're not available at this time... So I chose a couple of awesome pieces that fit well.

Trying to focus...

...and failing miserably

After a long day of work, hard to concentrate. But it'll probably be better after dinner. I DID, however, get some very basic menu controls in. Now to put stuff into the menu...

Progress, Maybe...

First Ludum Dare, overslept and missed half the first day, and working all day monday. Still, looking hopeful that I'll have something working by the end :D

A FPS in a small world

Hi fellows! I am creating a FPS in a small world, trying to do something hard with an interesting behavior for each enemy. As usual, I did a shader to display on screen an aesthetic which could be enjoyable by players. I have a big amount of work to do before to share a first release, but all is cool. I use many scripts which have been coded for different projects - and I plan to include a leaderboard to save players score. I hope that all is fine for you. I wish you the best. Bye ++

A matter of perspective

The stars glide across the sky... or am I just standing on a spinning rock? GIF

I have a spinning planet and stars implemented in Unity. The player can look around using the arrow keys. Exciting!

Progress! :D

Note: Not a working title. :p

9 ball pool, but with planets instead of balls, gravity wells (for some “slingshot” action), and black holes instead of pockets.

Progress

While we may have lost track of the theme a bit, the aesthetic looks cool...

A Message to People

Why don’t you post this on the new site?

Shhh!

Next Ludum Dare session, I’ll wait until the theme wins to decide if I’m in. Two times in a row has been quite discouraging. The new site looks quite cool, though; It’s far from complete, but I feel like we’re almost there.

Because this is still in my RSS feed. I have to figure out how to follow thew new website that way too.

A little too crazy...

Got a little carried away with new game mechanics...

My First Try...

I've never worked on a game before...

I'm trying Stencyl because I used to play in Scratch and Alice a long time ago and it seemed like the easiest one to learn right now.

I do have a working prototype made, right now it's just a circle going around another circle. (It took ALL day because the circle kept wanting to fly off the screen...^^')

It's not much and there are still some issues with the smaller circle not wanting to move smoothly, but I think I'm gonna try and at least some sort of collecting system in before I worry about that tonight. (or graphics)

Corgis...

Small worlds... full of corgis? It's a 3D platformer where you - a daring spaceperson - rescue the galaxy's missing pet corgis!

This is my second LD jam, and my girlfriend is helping me with concepts and design this time. Much fun!

Forgot to mention one little detail...

Im switching from using Unity and instead just utilizing a text editor called Brackets with Javascript. Hope that doesn't ruin the spirit of the compo!

Llamas are in love!

Day 1 for Spermicorn! Our team is working from Milan and Tokyo, many drafts so far( we had some trouble posting), we are developing with Unity and our story is about...love!

Good news and bad news

I seem to be on track to finishing this one, but I am not seeing a spark of fun-potential. I can settle for finished and boring!

My first day is at an end

There! The first day of my first Ludum Dare is over. It's been a productive day, but I'm very disappointed for not thinking things through. I came up with much better ideas a few hours in, but felt I had to commit to this game. Ah well, let's try to make the best out of it ^^

Sadly, the parts that makes this fit the theme are not in there yet. But for now the fact that our world must appear tiny to huge giant monsters will have to do.

Here's a vid of what's in it so far: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ukkbc2pxj2oiw5/film01.mp4?dl=0

End of Day 1

I think my game is coming along fairly well. I'm not sure how the gameplay will hold up, I may have to introduce some obstacles for the player to stop them "cheating". Overall development is going smoothly. I pretty much have a working prototype now, I had a few stalls where my coding knowledge failed me but I have managed to work around them. Pretty excited, gonna keep working for a while longer to make sure everything is definitely working and then probably hit the hay and get to making it pretty tomorrow. When the theme was announced I spent a while just mapping out ideas, I'm glad I chose one of the simpler ones because it's certainly turned out to be plenty for one person to handle!
