The Giant has Risen

Victory dance at end of game done... now to get the game done.
I finally have some progress! My game is a game about fish using jetpacks to escape the small world of a fishbowl they live in and flying to the ocean. I have a little intro thing, along with basic movement mechanics and some obstacles to test them.. My hope is to finish the first level (escape the house) then add in a city escape level.

I can't find any Sound Effects, background sound is ready and playing well. But footstep glitches makes me crazy
I am in but only with little time since I am on a holiday with my family. Gonna try make a quick and dirty game in the nightly hours I've got.
It probably is the lack of sleep, but I found this "easter egg" to be extremely funny :P I think I'm gonna keep it in the final version.

Well, guess I could add a bit more details to the assets but time is running out...

I'm working as part of AAGH Games again, and this Ludum Dare has gone well so far in one sense, and not so great in another.
On the good side, our game is coming along OK. We have rabbits, and freezer doors, and some other stuff. We like where it is right now.
On the other side, we fought that dumb freezer door for way, way too long, the rabbit has a hole in it (that shouldn't be there) and our live streams keep getting derailed by a combination of random banter between my friend (and co-developer) and I, unforeseen distractions, and poop jokes. Oh so many poop jokes.
All in all, I think we're in decent-to-good shape, but we'll be holding off streaming again until tomorrow. Hopefully our next live stream won't be as... crappy as the last few.
EDIT: I'll end with a picture of the rabbit during its design.

So for this Ludum Dare I'm making a sidescrolling survival game about taking care of the ecosystem on a small planetoid.
Day 1 went pretty slow with having to make a character controller on an uneven circle and Unity being annoying. However I managed to enlist the artistic abilities of my friend Kal. I was planning on doing the jam anyway so this was an easy decision.
Tomorrow I'll be focusing on making an inventory system and mechanics around that and hopefully I can dedicate Monday to creating and balancing the ecosystem.

Here's current status:

I had lots of fun creating this, it started with bottle, and a player, and a boat. Then added the background images, and snow and fish. Then TheEnd text and a minor demo effect. But all in all, lots of fun.
Game is coming along nicely Check it out
(currently the bird poop doesn't hurt you)
Not as advanced as I wanted but still made some visible progress:

So small it might not be where you left it, when you get back.

I at this point have a whole game that can be played from start to finish, so I'll use the other half of the time to try out tweaks and improvements, and make sure it works on all teh platformz.
Here the look like of our game, SunnyWorld!!

Getting close to something?
