Progress
It's kinda cool

It's kinda cool

Some characters may help us, or vice versa do not let us sacrifice ourselves

Working on some abstract, because the greatest sacrifice is spending the night awake :D

Remember citizens! The computer is your friend.
First day down. I made great early progress. i've started lagging now so gonna get plenty of rest and push on tomorrow.

Hello Everybody, me and my team started our work in the game for lodum dare today, first experience doing this and we are already lovin it.
To let you guys know what are the ideia of the game is a steampunk game, with a top down view, that tell the story of an cocky apprentice in your first journey to become an soldier, we have 3 stages that he will fight with mobs to complete his journey. here you can see the picture of the ideias of the mobs :D
a god a sacrifice
I'm the student of Guilherme Teres of Uniday Studio and I think for what starts 13 hours on Saturday, until it's cool! : D

http://turtle.audio credit to https://twitter.com/kylestetz for its creation.
Saw a cool tool posted recently for visual music sequencing, Turtle Audio. Giving it a shot for the first time. Hell, it's my first time composing music at all. Really happy with the tool, and the results. http://turtle.audio/play/89s8ce
Wonderful for fast creation, iteration, and experimentation.
Did this last night, but figured I should post in case someone sees this and finds the tool useful!
I think I might actually add an inventory, maybe I'll have time. It'll be quick, nothing too complicated. Hopefully.
Out of the 10 abilities, 6 work, and 2 might take a while to implement. Oh well, we all push onwards!
Anyway heres my dungeon!

So far we've spend most of the first day discussing and sacrificing a few themes. At least the super placeholder basic mechanics are starting to form up now.

It's really exciting to work on an point and click adventure game. We're both of us having a lot of fun. This is a preview screenshot of a dwarf giving an epic speech during a huge meal with his friends.

So we have been working on our idea for a long while now and have only just come to the realization of the method we were taking makes completing the game development impossible. This is because it requires one layer being the top layer, to allow for clicking on screens and moving them.
However, in order for our characters to be visible, their layer would be needed to be on top. These two layers cannot be merged due to their individual natures.
So we had on our hands a nice case of Case 22.
UNTIL - @renegadepunisher came up with a work around. This work around will set us back a few hours, however it beats starting from scratch on an entirely new idea.
I guess that's how game dev go though.

Well, it's coming together somehow. It seems it will be a little puzzle game inspired by ADOM(you would never believe). I am not confident if I can make decent puzzles though.

Progress was really good. Running around and gathering works for my small villagers + animations. Sacrificing to god works and if god is angry he/she starts killing your villagers. (not shown in the picture)
Day 2: - improving gameplay and balancing - Music and sound effects - improving of UI - completing start menu and game over scene - improving graphics if there is still time left

Yes, there is some progress with graphics, but I have not any line of codes. So its problem, for compo game :)

Do you guys like slavic setting and all those kind of jokes?
