I'll give it a shot
First time Ludum Dare.
I'll be using JS + three.js probably. GIMP + Blender for art.

I don't have a lot of time so I don't believe I will be able to finish anything this round. I will still try to participate as much as possible!

(I already explained my decisions in previous post, i re-thought some things according to what I think could work for me or not.)
Good luck to everyone and have fun ! ♥
Ok so first off: would things like yarn spinner, textmeshpro, and post processing effects for unity be considered legal for the compo or no?
And second: If you wanted to do voice acting for whatever reason, could you have another person do the voices and would that be legal.
The second one doesn't really concern me all that much but I'm more just interested.
I haven't had time to take part since this time last year, so this should be interesting!
Since then, I've (slightly) improved on my knowledge of Vue - last year, I had only just started to learn Vue when LD39 took place. State management won't be as big an issue as it was with Royalty, as I'm intending to use Vuex this time round (Royalty relied on passing all of the game's data up and down different components and storing it all in one place, making it more difficult to manipulate). I'm also using build tools this time (courtesy of the new Vue CLI), so no more wild scrolling up and down the same file looking for components everywhere.
Good luck everyone!
(PS: is the Theme tab broken? For me, it's completely blank aside from the buttons for each voting round.)
I have an expectation that I am gonna be a dying deadline-catcher this weekend. First try, not expecting too much, well... do expect some!
Will be using
But I should admit that I am a pure programmer and em, that's it.
Need some help? I might not program fluently in the language you know, but I know how to make neat sprites and textures, once joined another Ludum Dare solo (LD41, Bunny Horrors, didn't finish it on time and gave up on uploading it), and right now there's an entire solo indie videogame under my belt. Woopie!

I can learn most programming languages pretty quickly, but for now my experience is in Lua code, which I frequently use in the LOVE engine. If you're interested in this, comment me or something and I'll add you on Discord. I don't mind having a small amount of responsibility.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Anyone gonna drop in the Ludum Dare voice chat again?
Things have come-up, which will eat-up a large chunk of my time, thus requiring me to push myself extra hard while doing this jam. (That's if, I actually have ANY time/energy at all this weekend. I'm extremely ticked-off... For those who seem to wonder why I "do nothing", it's because I'm mentally and physically EXHAUSTED dealing with all the stuff that I'm asked or I'm "allowed" to do basically EVERY SINGLE DAY... *)
Now, I should sleep, or well, try... SO HOT, and SOMEONE in this house kindly stayed-up till freaking 2 or 3 AM, which tends to keep me up...
*IDK why I post this here, the people to whom it applies don't even care/know about this site. Not surprising, as they don't take interest in, or support these aspects of my life. Some things I even have to hide...
still at work, will have dinner then leave from work soon and then preparing for my first jam (physically and mentally :)) cant wait for the jam! :yay:
My third game jam! I have done Alakajam #3 and One Hour Game Jam so far and I feel I'm ready for LD42. I did do an 'I'm In' post for LD41 but I caught a severe cold before LD41 started so this is my first time in LD I guess. I also made a new account because Google won't allow 12-year-olds to create a gmail account. What I'm gonna use for LD42 -
Good luck everyone!
(P.S. I'm not going to introduce myself 'cauz I did that already last LD on my old account)

This will be my first game jam and i am very excited! I planned to use p5.js, Aseprite and Rytmik Studio.Lets see whats happening!
This will be my second LD and I'm excited!
Tools I will be using:
Game engine: Construct 3 (personal license)
Art: Pyxel Edit
SoundFX: Bfxr / Logic Pro X
Music: Logic Pro X
Good luck to all participants and have fun!
Im very hyped for my first Ludum Dare. Im usually very ambitious with my idea but this time I will try to narrow down the scope as I have had tons of advice to go small. Have fun making games guys!!
I don't want to discuss whether the final round themes are good or bad (though I have an opinion about that 😉), but would like to hear what you think about completely neglect the theme. If I have a good game idea that I would like to work on in the context of compo, but I cannot fit it into the theme, should I go for it anyway? If I remember right, one can exclude voting categories when submitting your game, so this could be an option then. Is it allowed to neglect the theme completely after all?
First time going solo! I did Ludum Dare twice before in a team. Both times it resulted in complete disaster. Now I'm here to turn the tides of battle. I plan on livestreaming some of the process, but my PC has some performance issues so it might not work. Nonetheless, I wish you all good luck!
I will use Unity and host the game on Itch.io I'm not sure what other software I will be using yet, I bought Pyxel edit so I might be trying that out. Will probably do all sounds with my own voice with Audacity
Haiti Kitty version 1.0 is finally out there! After months of bugfixing and developing new features we are finally proud to present our latest version of the game. Started on Ludum Dare 41, the game made some progression. Here are the new features for you:
Enjoy that version of the game. We will see you at Ludum Dare 42!
You can play the game here: https://beebo-studios.itch.io/haiti-kitty
... and by the way: Of course we are in for Ludum Dare 42!
Work is piling up and I'm also taking part in another jam, but I think I'm in and I hope I won't quit midway, like the previous two LDs! :P
Since I'm in quite a pinch, I might just go with GameMaker or Clickteam Fusion as the engine.
Audio will be my always faithful combo of iPad 2 (with AmpKit) and FL Studio, while graphics will be done in Affinity Photo and Aseprite :)
HF everyone! :D
Recently moved to the UK and I've been kinda neglecting game development for a year but kinda want to give it another go! We'll see if I get the time.
