LD 42 Entry

Seems to be that putting a blog post first of the way to go, and it's a good way to get some things out of the way in regards to my project.

I'm entering into the jam solo with an idea and design in mind. It's likely that the theme won't align with this idea, but I will be moving forward with it regardless. Some early experiments have been conducted to make sure it's possible, but the code itself will be written I've this weekend.

I'm looking forward to working on this project and sharing feedback with other game nerds!

Ready for action

Hell yeah, I’m in, first Ludum Dare 42, to make my first game :)

Will be learning and using these lovely pieces of open source software along the way:

- Godot 3
- Inkscape, Gimp, Blender
- LMMS, Audacity, and my mouth :)

Good luck to yall

Six.... times nine?!

I'm in for LD42 No idea exactly what I'll be using right now, but probably something like I did in the last one. ...I'll get some code on github in a bit

Our Jams

As a group, PoQA Games has participated in a fair number of jams. Since they aren't all listed anywhere, thought I might as well compile a list. I need to get these all hosted on itch or something...

Let's have some fun :)

My first Ludum Dare. Always wanted to take part, but procrastination always got the better of me. I'm entering with no ideas in mind and plan on coming up with something fresh as soon as the theme is announced. Excited to make something fun and unique and also look forward to playing all the other entries. Good luck to everyone!

I'll be using Unity, Inkscape and Bosca Ceoil for everything.

Weasel Coin is in

Hey guys. Nothing really changed that much, so most likely we'll still be using:

  • Programming: Corona SDK with Sublime text.
  • Art: Photoshop+DragonBones.
  • Sound: bfxr/Bosca Ceoil maybe, we'll see.

Good luck to everyone.

I'm In

This is my first time doing Ludum Dare, good luck to everyone competing. I'm joining the Jam this time.

Programming: Visual Studio/Unity

Art: Photoshop/Krita/Aseprite/Blender

Sound: LMMS/VCV Rack/Audition/Bosca Ceoil

Anyone else doing interactive fiction?

I'm in! This is my counts on fingers seventh Ludum Dare, not counting the one where I did only music. These have been a racing game, interactive fiction, a platformer, an audio game, a top-down action game, and a visual novel. Hurray for never repeating myself—until now.

I have never been a visual person. I never will be a visual person. I'm hoping the next event, I'll have my beautiful fiancee available to work on some art, but for this rendition of LD, she's busy and I"m flying solo.

These past couple months, I have been steeped in writing: working on my novel, finishing up a short story, editing and performing audiobooks. So, it stands to reason I would do something similar for Ludum Dare.

I'm going to make interactive fiction. Last time I did this (for Ludum Dare 36), I started in Compo, moved on to Jam, and still ran out of time at the end. This weekend, I plan to work harder at time management and scope containment, which I've gotten better at with each prototype I made.

You can still play Connor & Harley (my Ludum Dare 36 game) online. If you prefer a local version, there are download links there, as well.

Anyone else out there doing interactive fiction? I know pure text games aren't the most popular thing these days, being overtaken by visual novels and their ilk, but I figure if I'm making one, I can't be alone.

Good luck to everyone on your Ludum Dare excursion! I look forward to your game.

We're in... VR??

My fifth Ludum Dare. I think. This time we're doing a VR Game! Hopefully enough people have headsets to play. Will probably just be using the oculus sdk and unity.

In for 10 in a row

When I decided to go full-time indie, I vowed to do every Ludum Dare if possible, and, although some have been better than others, I've not missed any of the last 9, so I'm excited to get my 10-in-a-row streak this weekend!

I'll definitely be using: * My custom Javascript framework built on Turbulenz. I love working natively, but it's just so much easier to get people to play my prototypes if I can just send them a link ^_^. * Sublime Text * Lots of Mtn Dew * Piskel and Photoshop for sprites

I'll probably be using: * Bfxr for sounds * Bosca Ceoil if I get around to music

Hopefully during the weekend I'll get some good news that Splody passed its final certification for its upcoming PS4 launch, and not be too distracted...

I'm In

I'll give this Ludum Dare a try, however my parents will be coming at around midday on Sunday so I'll have to be finished by then. I also don't intend to do any staying up late/silliness like that (I don't want to throw off my sleep pattern!). So, we'll see how it all goes. As with the last Ludum Dare, I will be using C/SDL.

Good luck to everyone, enjoy the jam!

Let's Do This!

I'm super excited to get started, but before I do I want to give a nice shoutout to my team!

And as always, have a happy Ludum Dare!

First time Ludum Darer.

Very likely won't even care about what the theme is. Just gonna take this chance to push myself to finish some long-time back-burner project. Happy Jaming!

2nd Jam in a row!

Can't wait! This is my second ludum dare and I hope to improve the overall look of my game this time round (art is not my strength). Like before, I'll be working alone, and hopefully I don't have to sacrifice too much sleep to finish.

Also quick question before it starts, am I allowed to release my game on different platforms even though its passed the deadline? I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to finish in time, but I really want to release a browser version of my game, and I won't change anything else in the game, just the platform.

All the best guys!

I... might be in?

Did not realize LD was coming up again. Don't have all that much time, but maybe I'll finish something. Happy creating!

I'm in

I'm in for LD42! Creating an interactive fiction game this time, can't wait to get started. I got as far as getting my design completed last time but hit writer's block and there it went. This one will be the one I complete, I'm ready to get after it!

Yeay, First Time Ludum Dare !

Hello there! I'm happy to compete this time because it's been a long time that I wanted to participate. Sooooo... I'm in. And I'm not alone: Ectomic and Yuguiboy are part of my team.

I hope the theme will be inspiring and I wish you good luck !

The answer is 42! I'm In!

I’m in. I wont have the full 48 hours, but I should have a good chunk of time to finish something. Good luck everyone.
