Team of 3(2 programmers, 1 artist) looking forward to our first jam!
https://www.twitch.tv/wizebin
Starting to come up with some ideas already- let's goooooo
I'm in from switzerland with my friends. We have the best starter kit for a game jam : * Super Smash Bros Ultimate * A ten-year-old Belgian beer. * Friend * Gorgozola (a italien cheese) * Unity 2019 * Photoshop * Blender * Imagination

probably uses: - Unreal Engine 4 or Unity - Blender - other tools making my life easier
For duo french '--
I'm in! This time around I'm working with @naali and @solifuge.
Probably using: - Unity 2019.1 (targeting WebGL) - Sublime Text (with OmniSharp) - Whatever art things Solifuge uses
Where I will be for the next 72 hours (LD is my favorite excuse to eat junk):

It’s time to power everything up and hope things work.
Find shelter, the time is nearly here!!
hype for the first ludum dare of the year
using gamemaker 2 and aseprite :sunglasses:
Lets try it again :)

Didn't sleep for the moment, but feeling motivated and energetic for the theme reveal for my first solo ludum dare. I'll try to hit the compo submission, and I pray for the "side effects" theme not to be selected
Good luck to everyone! I'll share my progress on Twitter so make sure to follow me if you want ! https://twitter.com/SixRobin1?lang=fr
strugglesingamedevelopment group ready to roll out for LD44!
This will be my 22nd LD, and my 20th in a row.
Using Unity, Photoshop CS6, bxfr and autotracker.
99% sure I'll be making a 2D game with a resolution of 1024x768.
Good luck to all that enter!
Not my first LD :)
We're in for the -- wait, I can't remember how many times we've participated. Anyhow, we're in Ludum Dare this time again! We've missed a couple of them, but we're so excited to finally be back. Can't wait to play you guys' games and I hope you'll play ours! Good luck everyone :)
Only one hour!! also i am using blender, ms paint, unity, gimp and 🍵 (Tea)
It's my second LDjam in a team again. Can't wait for that title to pop
LD41 was the first, and due to life commitments, we kept missing the next few. Can't wait for LD44, our second time participating in Ludum Dare!
First time participating in a Ludum Dare! Should be a fun learning experience.
Tools: - Unity or GameMaker (depending on the project) - Visual Studio Code - Krita - If I use any others tools I will list them later.
I hope the best to everyone participating!
Hyped for this one, 42 went good (considering i spent 4 hours actually workin'), but i have higher hopes for this one. Good luck to everybody and stay away from potential time stealers.
Our tools: - Godot 3.1 - My Friends FLStudio 12 - Photoshop
GLHF
Looking forward to this jam! Hope to make something playable and polished.
This will be my third LD, although might do the jam instead of the compo as I'll be starting a few hours late.
Planning to return to my roots and use Java, considering trying to use LWJGL but that will be dependent on how easy it is to get started with as I have no experience with it. I've made Java games from scratch before though, so that will probably be my fallback, or Unity if I want to make a 3D platformer.
Best of luck to everyone!

Hey everyone, first time participating in this, I'm really quite curious how this will go. I've been programming some little things in Python as a hobby, but haven't really done much in terms of gamemaking, especially with graphics, so this is gonna be interesting for sure. I'm gonna be using
Python 3
Paint.net
Audacity
Besides that, probably way too much coffee :D
Have fun everyone!

HYYYYPEEEE
The last Ludum Dare I participated to was the 24th, 7 years ago. Today is the 44th. I am so excited to be back at it!
It's our studios first attempt at a game jam! Check us out @SheepDragonStud - We'll be doing live updates all weekend!
Not long now, good luck everyone!
The last two times I tried to participate in Ludum Dare I wasn't able to finish anything in time. While I still learned a lot, my goal is to submit something playable this time around.
These are the tools I will be using: - Visual Studio Code - JavaScript & Canvas - My basecode (It's rough around the edges, but it should be good enough) - Blender (and maybe Pixelator) - BFXR for sound effects - I'm thinking of using GarageBand for music if I have enough time
My plan is to stay awake for the theme announcement and hopefully by the time I wake up tomorrow morning my subconciousness should have come up with an idea.
Unity, pyxel and hope
I'm very excited,I hope to make something playable at least :stuckouttongueclosedeyes: I'll be using Unity, Visual studio, Bosca ceoil and BFXR, I think
Whew, using Unity, Paint.net, BFXR, and Bosca Ceoil! I usually make 3D games, but for the sake of time I'll be trying my hand at a 2D game!
Goodluck everyone
Been a couple years since I've done one of these, but I'm in. Will be using Unity as the engine of choice.
Well this is something like my 6th attempt at finishing one of these so lets see how far ill get
Garage cliché
Waiting for you guys
Feel Good Inc.
Nic and I are in yet again! Nobody can stop us from game makin' B)
We're gonna be taking the jam pretty casual this time around because we've already got some stuff to do this weekend. We can't resist participating though and are pumped to make another game with everybody.

Got a new microphone that I am pretty excited to try out for this jam! I always like poppin in and showing art process when I can so I will link below if you want to watch~
Twitter - Nic Brieyh'leai
Twitch - Brieyh'leai
Itch - Gumboot
Tools: Unity, Maya, Photoshop, 3D Coat, LMMS, Audacity, Visual Studios, Github, and Trello
The old Ludum Dare website had a link to the IRC, but ever since we switched to the new one that's gone and less and less people have been showing up... come join us at irc.afternet.org #ludumdare !
Got a larger group of friends collaborating this time, so hopefully that translates into a better game. Whatever happens, we'll try to finish something. Good luck to all of the participants, and huge thanks for the guy(s) behind the event. You rock!
Depending on the theme, these will be my weapons of choice:
I will most likely receive assistance from some of our teammates at @StudioAnjin!
Well, after years of thinking about it, I'm actually entering Ludum Dare! I'm excited to finally participate and hopeful that I can at least make something playable! I'm using Unity for code and Gimp for art if I draw anything. I'm also using a program I wrote myself that I just call Timesheet - you use it to time activities and it adds up how long you spend altogether, then stores each activity and time to a text file so you can group related activities together and save them. That means I'll be able to know exactly how long I spend on this game out of the 72 hours. Anyway, I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to get started on my Jam entry!
First time jamming.
Gonna eat some polygons
Even though I knew I'd be fairly busy this weekend, somehow I ended up signing on anyway. I figure, at least this way I have motivation to finish even if I never actually do.
If all goes well I'll be using C++ with SFML and other FLOSS libraries, with resources created in SFXR and Paint.NET (or from OGA if necessary).
First time doing Ludum Dare. Going to be using C++/SDL2
This is my second time. Good luck everyone.
For packaging purposes.
Glad to be participating again! I'll be sticking with the tools I know for this one, which means I'll be using primarily GraphicsGale and Construct 2. Sound effects and music, if applicable, will be via BFXR and autotracker.py. Eagerly awaiting the theme!
Is real !

Let's jaaammmmm!!!
PS.: That's not me on the picture, I swear! I made the collage though. ;)
Hi guys! Get an overview on some free programs that you can use for Ludum Dare.
Hey everyone! This is my first ludum dare and i'm participating with my friend! We are going to be using C++ and a framework as we aren't too keen with game engines. Wish everyone luck!
I just found out that it's Ludum Dare time! I guess that I'll stick with Unity this time...
Looking for a place to ask for advice, vent your frustration, or just spent some time chatting with the Ludum Dare community? Why not join the Ludum Dare IRC channel, #ludumdare on irc.afternet.org.
If you don't have an IRC client installed, you can access the channel through the web at https://qwebirc.afternet.org/.
I'm hyped for the Compo.
My arsenal:
Hyped for this weekend!
Looking forward to my first Ludum Dare!
I'll be using:
Follow my progress on Twitter https://twitter.com/_freddydumont and GitHub https://github.com/freddydumont.
I can't wait to get started! I'm not great at art, so whatever I do will probably rely heavily on text. For this project I am using:
Just thought I'd throw a little humor into the mix. I hope everyone has a great time!
Hopefully I'm able to make something. I'm chairing the After Prom party for the local high school and, of course, that's this weekend. I'll see what I can get done. Good luck to all and especially those joining for the first time!
I know how to turn on my computer and I have Unity installed, so I am pretty ready.
Since everyone is posting "I'm In" posts, thought I should as well...
If I make it through to the end, this will be my first game jam. I'll probably keep my idea simple (like maybe a simple platformer with the theme applied) to avoid burning out. I'll be taking part in the Jam because the Compo is currently out of my league. I'm not expecting a really high score, I'm just taking part for fun and to hopefully gain some game dev experience along the way.
My first time.
Going live with that Ludum Dare Hype!
https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames
I'll be streaming submissions after the Jam is over with as well! More on that later when I create a form and such again for it.
ludum dare starts in seven minutes!!!

I’m in for the third time! I participated at LD27 and LD30, both with Lua/Love2D (see http://ludumdare.com/compo/author/latcarf/, the LD30 was kinda failed but the LD27 was quite good, here is a working link to a web based version: https://guillaumebrunerie.github.io/five-seconds-LD27/).
This time my plan is to use Phaser 3 instead, a javascript library for web games. This looks like an interesting library, except that I have never used it before, so it might be quite challenging.
Other than that, well I guess Gimp for the graphics, and no idea if/how I will do any sound effects/musics, that’s not really my strong point.
It'll be a great time and a great learning experience!
Using: - Unity 2019.1 - Krita ... that's probably it. Don't want to split my focus to much.
Oh and I'll also be using this framework: https://github.com/fanus/ezs-unity
Just helps me worry less about how I should structure my code and actually focus on gameplay... (if I didn't make a game, you'll know if it actually works :P)
Note:You're going to see a lot posts of this game, because I can't contact people that were interested in this. I'm very sorry.
Hey check this out: https://youtu.be/tk23dofa9wA
Finally that virtual billboard is released. At least for now.
If you don't like using it, then I get it. It's really unfinished, but you can download this "demo" that was released due to ldjam. Write a comment if you are gonna use it! There are a lot of more features to come.
Itch.io page: https://dock-frankenstein.itch.io/virtual-billboard
I'm using this jam to setup and learn a fully open source programming workflow for myself. My goal is to just get something working in 3d with SDL and C++
SSSUUUSSSPEEENNSSEE
Theme revealed in less than 5 minutes.
Doing the compo, even tho I have very little experience, it seems the easier of the two. Why? because its only 48 hours of torment rather than 72!
Goodluck friends!
Alguém sabe dizer se a Scirra vai liberrar o Construct 3?
i'm getting ready to make my first jam here the stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f13Wj7eB0K8
Intensity Intensifies

We are already tired cause it's 3 o'clock in the morning. But that's the time for the best ideas. 4 minutes left. Bring it on!
Some of the people of the Games Development Workshop of our university are gathering around to make some games.
We are using: - Unity - Blender - After Effects - Stuff the music guy uses - Caffeine (especially maté)
Building in unity3D doing art in maya crying into a hanky wish me luck.
ps This is my first ludum dare! can't wait to see what everyone makes!

Willing to learn and hopefully finish a game in time. Let's do this thing!
BaBoom!!!
This is my first LD. Should I use version control?
This theme fits my previous game perfectly lmao.
