LD21 August 19–22, 2011

Alright I am in

A friend told me about this event, I found the idea interesting, so I’ll give it a shot. :)

For graphics, I will use Paint tool SAI, Photoshop and for animation Anime Studio .
I am not really experienced with music, I will try to use Fruity Loops and also http://www.freesound.org/ will be fine for my sound effect needs.
For the game engine I will use GameMaker because I feel comfortable with it and it’s a good tool to produce something in a short timeframe.

I’m (finally) in

I’m in finally, I’ve been meaning to enter for about a year.

I’ll be coding with As3 and Flixel, graphic in Photo-shop, sound in Bsfxr/Sfxr and Musagi for music.

Edit: Also using, my own hit-detection stuff;

Rock’n’roll

So it seems that the LD week-end is my first free week-end in two months. Fatally, I’m in!

My toolset is the same as usual: Lua, plus my own SDL based lib, or alternatively LÖVE. Inkscape, GIMP, LMMS, plus any other free software tool I can find in Ubuntu repositories. This time I’ll try to focus on original gameplay more that anything else, so that my final product is indeed a game, rather than my usual toys or new technology tries. Graphic art is always a problem, but I’ll try to keep it simple. I usually take some time for music, because that’s one of the parts I prefer. Will see.

I plan to enter the compo, but if random external events come and trouble my nerd week-end, I might take another day for the jam. Good luck everybody, and remember, vote Evolution, it never wins but has to be damn close!

Remember to record your I’m in video!

Probably… in?

Not sure if I’ll be in or not. It depends on the theme and how much time I have this weekend. If I am in, I’ll be using:

  • ActionScript engine I wrote during the last compo
  • FlashDevelop for code & xml
  • Inkscape & GIMP for graphics
  • MuseScore & LMMS for audio
I have a lot of other projects to work on :( so, those may limit my participation. I may also be using HTML5 instead of ActionScript. Who knows. If so, Notepad++ all the way.

I guess I’m In

My first LD.

Going to be using either XNA or Unity, depending on the theme and how much I want to 3D model.

Although if I end up doing the jam instead of the main compo, it’ll definately be in Unity.

most probably

I really want to do something with rennnnnnnnnnnn’py, but im also taking some rennnnnnnnnnnfaire time this weekend so we’ll see what happens. Consider this an entry. Or not. Maybe I’ll just make a horrible unity game.

Ren’py Ren’Fair :)

Good luck whatever you decide.

Welp, guess I’m in.

I’ve been told that I simply must participate in this, and I guess I should obey. I’ll either be using Unity or Flixel.

I’m hopefully In

Going to be trying to push something out for the Competition or at least the Jam. Will be a busy weekend for me.

I tried entering the last LD but I had just began coding then. I am a little farther along in my progress and plan to use XNA. Even if whatever I submit is played in 4 seconds, I am really going to try and submit something this time.

Worst case scenario, even if I don’t get a submission in, I will be watching the competition closely! So keep up the good work and don’t give up, I can’t wait to see what you guys create!

I’ll be in!

And hopefully I will actually have a functional, loadable, complete game this time around!

I have to discipline myself to work less on the code-cleanliness and more on the actual game content!

In for the competition

Hello! My first LD, and I’m very excited to be involved! I’ll just be in with Construct Classic, ‘cos I got precious little coding experience. GIMP and a tablet for graphics, bfxr for sounds, and maybe pxtone if I lose my mind and fancy attempting some music. Anybody else disappointed to see “nihilism” get so many downvotes? That’d have been quite an interesting theme…

Anyway, good luck to all those involved! Cheers!

Intent to participate

I’m planning on participating in this LD, I’ll be using my .Net game lib that is based on openTK.

It provides spritefont classes, batched sprite drawing, path finding, audio loading (wave, mp3, ogg), noise generation (perlin and simplex) and some other basic services.

You can download it with source here: http://billknye.com/foo/billknye.gamelib.zip

It feels very similar to XNA, to use it you just need to create a class then inherits from the Game base class and override the methods.

Good luck everyone!

I’m … out (frowny face)

Wow, PoV thinks I’m awesome! That’s quite an honor.

But sadly, I will not be awesome this weekend. I’ll miss this one because we’re in crunch time at my new job at Smule, making interactive music thinngys for iDevices.  In the tradition of the contest, here’s a pic of my workspace at the office:

Sorta atypical office equipment. But I’ll definitely following the LD48 action, and coding into the night with y’all, just not on a LD48 entry this time. I might even try to get on IRC if I don’t get too distracted by it. Maybe I’ll try a minigame if I can spare a few hours but we’ll see, anyways I’ll do a mini-LD soon to make up for it.

Good luck to everyone! and vote for FISHING! (I don’t even know if that’s one of the topics, I just want to play a lot of fishing games).

Time to make something

Of course I am IN for my second LD. My goals for this weekend: Finish a game (of course) and somehow see some progress. So it should be better than my last game. That being said, I am looking forward to an awesome weekend with a lot of coding and designing, some stressful and desperate moments and too little sleep.

This time I will use:

Technology: Javascript
Graphics: Photoshop
Sound: sfxr, musagi
Framework: some personal basecode

Let’s make some great games!

I’m in

Hi, this is my first time. I don’t know where or if I have to post this “I’m in” :))

I’ll probably be using JavaScript, MS Paint and sfxr

I’m in!

Working with Panderia on something awesome hopefully for the Jam! Going to use an old license of Torque 2D that I haven’t used in years. Will be doing mostly coding and scripting and helping with some of the level editing… maybe some graphics if I run out of things to do. Looking forward to it!

And if we have a difference of opinion (wink), will fall back to the solo competition, most likely using the same tools (although it will depend on my comfort level with the theme).

We’d never have a difference of opinion. We are too nerdily perfect for each other!

I’m in…

Allright, so I’m finally in too (first ludum dare) – gonna use c# (with openTK maybe) and whatever else I’ll need, prepare for the onslaught of the programmer’s art :)

Yea, I’m in!

So this time I’ll go all in… well I’ll try to anyway. It’s time for me to add a third dimension to my programming-skills so that is my goal of LD21. Hopefully my fingers and brain will survive. Good luck to the rest!

The graphics will be done in Blender 3D and Pixelmator. Sound will be created with the help of Renoise and the coding will be done in Processing.

Moving Day!

I will be moving out of my current apartment into a new house on Friday, so my in-ness relies on whether we can be moved in and running by Friday evening. I will most likely be lacking on the internet over the week, which should add an additional challenge.

I will be using either Love2d, Unity, Flashpunk, or binary.

I’m in!

Tossing in the hat for this Ludum Dare. First one!

Using Unity 3D, PS, Maya, CFXR

Also, probably will use the Unity extension SimpleSprite
