Ludum Dare 37 December 9–12, 2016

Almost mentally prepared! (We’re in!)

Not entirely sure how the whole posting will be working this time around, but I’m sure everyone will figure something smart out by the time I wake up. huehue.
(Gotta see the theme before I go to bed…)

I’m in and once again I have Rik Thunder joining in as artist (sooo Jam rules it is. Though we don’t use premade assets or any such, might go for 72 hours though since we can.)

So far I’ve always programmed manually using some Java libraries. So to see what we can get done with a bit more stuff, I’ll be using Game Maker Studio this time.
(Yeah. I do like meddling with all the little details in writing a game engine from scratch, but it does take away a few hours in which I could be working on the actual gameplay instead… so let’s see how this goes.)

Have a good Jam ya’ll!

I’m in!

This will be my first time participating in LD.

Tools I’ll be using:

  • Engine: Game Maker / Unity 5. Depending on the theme
  • Graphics: Photoshop
  • Audio: Reaper / SFXR / BOSCA CEOIL
  • Timelapse(maybe): Chronolapse

Good luck everyone!

I’m in!

Hi, I’m in, hopefully I’ll be entering the compo (if I can finish on time).

Using Game Maker Studio.

I’m in…

Holy crap, didn’t realize it was this weekend. But no worries, I am prepared to set aside all responsibilities if it means making an awesome game.

Engine: Unity

Scripting: C#

3d Models: Blender

2d Art: Gimp

Sound: Audacity and BFXR

Music: Maybe my guitar if it fits my game. I wanted to last time but I didn’t finish.

Am I missing anything?

In I am

What a perfect time for another LD!

Not too long ago I’ve started working on a new little game engine, but it’s not ready to LD yet. Perhaps next time.

So I’ll choose one of these tech options, depending on the idea I’ll get:

Pico-8 if my idea seems simple enough

– Unity if I want to make 3d game

My rusty old engine for more complex 2d game

Other than that I like to use Paint.net for graphics and Audacity for sound. And I have no clue about music!

Good luck everyone!

First Ludum Dare!

Hello, we are the Petersons.

  • Lars
  • Will
  • Ethan
  • Nolan

This is our first time here, our equipment is the following:

  • Unity3D
  • Paint.net
  • Bfxr

Good luck everyone!

Family jamming? Nice! Good luck in there! First time is always strange, but it’s a great experience!

I’m in

in post

I am In.

Yep, I’m in.

I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be using, which is a great start but bear with:

It will probably be C++/SDL (Or DirectX/C++), or C# + Something else.

Like I said, preparedness is my middle name.

Codetide is down to comp

First time jamming, let’s see how this goes!

2 man team consisting of KekkoDude and Kikmenow (kek&kik)

We will be using Unity, illustrator, photoshop and maybe blender

GLHF jammers!

Let’s Go!

As Ludum Dare approaches in a few hours, I’m preparing.  My tools are:

Game Maker: Studio

Paint.net

My Spotify Playlist so I don’t go insane

And most of all, my mind

Good luck to everyone else participating!

Do I have to sign up somewhere?

Hello colleagues!

Im sorry Im kinda new to this. Do I have to sign up somewhere that I will participate in LD 37, or is registration on this site (and of course on ldjam.com) enough? So all I have to do is to upload the game?

Thanks in advance

It’s enough… =D

That is correct. Participants also typically do an “I’m in” post in order to declare any tools or personal base codes used prior to the start of the competition as generic base code is allowed as long as it’s declared, as well as to show their enthusiasm, but neither are strictly required.

I’m in.

This is my first LD jam.  I’m Excited.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I do something wrong, WordPress has always confused me.

Anyway, here’s my setup.

  • Game Engine –  Unity (on Linux – experimental). C# with MonoDevelop. I was hoping to learn Godot before this jam and move (almost) completely to an open source workflow, but I’m not quite there yet.
  • 3D Modelling – Blender.
  • Image Editing – Gimp.
  • Music/Sound – Ardour DAW and the plethora of audio plugins that come in the KXStudio repositories.

I’ll be working solo and all content will be made by me (with help from above). I’ll almost definitely be making a 3d game (depending on the theme), they’re the games I usually make.

Good luck to everyone, let’s make some good games.

Lonely Computer and Video Games graduate reporting in with some family support!

Graduated from university half a year ago, after a rather empty half a year decided to take up coding again.

Will be using Unity (2D or 3D depends on theme that wins) and will be unofficially supported by my boyfriend and his art. Entering the 72 hour one, as it is more casual, but due to life obligations we might have just a bit above 48 hours really. First time here, is going to be fun! :)

I might be in…

If everything goes ok and I get to participate, I’d use:

  1. Language: TypeScript
  2. Editor: Atom
  3. Framework: Phaser
  4. Music: GarageBand and a MIDI Keyboard
  5. SFX: cfxr
  6. Art: Pixelmator

Good luck, everyone!

Howdy!

I broke the chain after 12 Ludum Dares last summer, so I want to make it to myself and make something good this time.  No pressure though, I here to have fun, I just hope everyone else has fun as well.  Good luck and good coding!

Here are my, tools of the trade:

Programming: Visual Studio 2015, C#, Monogame, Notepad++.

Graphics: Paint.net, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro

Sound: Famitracker, Audacity, and an Ukulele.

Base Code: My custom engine, (the link also has a sample game to see it in context).

Ludum Dare 37. I’m In.

Hi, I’m HermitPal :3

I will be using,

Game Engine: Gamemaker Studio 2 (Beta)

Graphics: Photoshop or Illustrator

Audio: Audacity & Melodyne

~ Thanks

Here we go! Our 7th in a row!

round7

We’re all in!

We are in for this Ludum Dare, with all 3 of us!! Yay!

We’ll be using Unity (2D) for our engine, C# and Visual Studio for programming. Who knows what for audio and Krita for art!

This’ll be my 4th LD and everyone elses 2nd. Good luck everyone!

I’m in!

My name is Alvin, long time bystander and first time jammer. I’ll be working on Game Maker Studio

#LD37 – LD Newbie .. pls be gentle

First Ludum Dare after watching live streams (mostly Quill18’s) of previous LD events .. goal is to jump into the deep end of the pool and produce a playable game by the end of the comp.  Haven’t decided if I want to awkwardly stream my attempt or just record it for time-lapse/”sprint retrospective” later.

Please, be gentle …
